Got lots to catch up on on here! But for now happy trigger day @MinBins and collection day tomorrow @Tinkerbell098 ! Hope all goes so well, will be thinking of you! Xx

Tinkerbell098 · 21/12/2022 23:07

@seekingbabyk @Imisscoffee2021 Thanks! Feeling good actually. It’s so much better than a fresh transfer so not stressed at all! Going for a progesterone blood test in the morning before transfer. Hope all is well.

Hi all,

Just a quick update, I am currently 9dp5dt and have been testing very strong positives since day 5 - had a digital clear blue day 7

I had my BETA on Tuesday - 78 and am just waiting for the results of todays.

Unfortunately I got home from the clinic and noticed I have started bleeding (mainly when I wipe but some spotting) and it's pinky/red

Im gutted 😭😭

seekingbabyk · 22/12/2022 13:37

@Tinkerbell098 - how did the thaw go? Are you all good for transfer? Keeping everything crossed for you!

@MinBins how did your trigger go? I bet you had 20 alarms set on your phone to make sure you were awake!

@MammyandAva I'm sorry you have had some bleeding. Try not to worry too much. I know it's scary but I've read a lot of stories with bleeding and the pregnancy still being fine. Even @Imisscoffee2021 had that x

Imisscoffee2021 · 22/12/2022 14:11

@MammyandAva I had this exact thing, mine was like a gush of bright red blood, twice! Terrifying, also had pink wipes and some brown old blood. Seemed to he from cervical irritation as I've had more scans than I want to admit to, latest one last night before I visit home for Xmas and baby has been absolutely fine at each one so far, was stretching little arms and legs out yesterday and rolling over.
Bleeding in early pregnancy is sooooo common I've since learned xx

MammyandAva · 22/12/2022 14:14

@Imisscoffee2021 thank you. I have been having cramps since transfer but I'd say today are worse.

I didn't really think much of the cramps as I had awful cramps when pregnant with my daughter.

But I've gone from feeling nauseous to nothing so that's made me worry.

I'm just in a state, I feel awful

MinBins · 22/12/2022 14:27

@seekingbabyk it's a 36 hour trigger, and I decided to binge watch Emily in Paris to stay awake 😂😂 it was easier than I thought - think the first round of Meriofert mixing vials gave me practice and the injections didn't sting like I thought they would.

thank you! It's such a slog, definitely feeling it today. Ive not been given dates yet for transfer - wondering whether it's best to freeze all and try next time, because I've been feeling really rough. Think the ongoing cough/cold has brought my energy levels down too.

@Tinkerbell098 thank you that's reassuring to hear that you slept through! I hope I do too! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Good luck for your transfer today! I'll keep my fingers crossed and also enjoy your short break after 💕

@MammyandAva that's good news on the positives, and I know it can be worrying about the bleeding, there have been stories of bleeding around this time so hopefully its all still okay! I'll keep everything crossed for you. Are the tests still coming out positive? X

MammyandAva · 22/12/2022 14:34

@MinBins I have just done one and it's still positive but I'm sure it takes a while for the HCG to disappear

seekingbabyk · 22/12/2022 14:38

@MammyandAva could you book a scan to check everything is ok? If it gives you peace of mind it might be worth it?

@MinBins yes I completely understand thinking about a freeze all. I definitely would always do that now - was so much nicer going home and just concentrating on getting better without side effects from pessaries etc.

@Imisscoffee2021 are you feeling better now from your flu? That's so lovely to have seen the bubba moving about in there! Can't believe how quickly the first trimester has gone for you! Hopefully you're feeling more like yourself now x

MammyandAva · 22/12/2022 14:39

@seekingbabyk my clinic have said I can't have a scan before 6 weeks

Spin101 · 22/12/2022 14:44

Hi ladies, I’ve been quiet as we were on a sunny break and caught a cold shortly after returning home. Lots to catch up on here!

@Imisscoffee2021 i hope everything is going well and really pleased you were able to see the little bub.

@Tinkerbell098 hope you’re able to transfer today!

@MinBins hope EC goes well tomorrow!

@Decaffe your manager evidently lacks self awareness. Her questions were inappropriate and insensitive!

@MammyandAva I can only imagine how stressful that is for you. I really hope everything is still ok!

@Honeybunie I’m sorry your last transfer wasn’t successful. Did the doctors say anything about your lining and what they would change next time? Was your Progynova dosage 6 tablets of 2mg a day?

I have thin lining too. It was 4mm on EC day which is why I couldn’t have a fresh transfer in October. I’ve been taking vitamin E supplements, however don’t know what the impact is.

As I don’t seem to have natural bleeds anymore, my doctor has advised me to go on the pill for 3 weeks prior to starting Progynova. Did anyone else have a similar experience? It makes the process seem that much longer but I know 3 weeks is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I’ve also been told to take Progynova 4 times a day due to my thin lining.

MammyandAva · 22/12/2022 15:03

@Imisscoffee2021 I have just had a call from the clinic and my HCG has rose from 78 on Tuesday to 226 today so that's a positive sign

Imisscoffee2021 · 22/12/2022 16:13

That's fab @MammyandAva , got everything crossed on congratulations! :) once it's over 1500 you can have a scan usually xx

Tinkerbell098 · 22/12/2022 21:11

Hi ladies sorry for the delay in updating you. Thaw went ok. Embryologist said the embryo looks exactly like what a fresh embryo would look like and didn’t look anything like a frozen one so is quite happy with the defrost. Transfer was smooth. Had a bit of a busy day after getting my lubion prescription sorted as I’m running out next week and the clinic would be closed. Managed to get a weeks worth nonetheless which would be enough for now. OTD is 3rd of Jan. Obviously not going to last that long.

@MammyandAva massive congratulations!! That’s a great beta hCG! Not long now before you can have a scan X

seekingbabyk · 22/12/2022 21:13

@Tinkerbell098 awww that's great news! Congratulations on being PUPO!

@MammyandAva also amazing news! Keeping everything crossed for you!

MammyandAva · 22/12/2022 22:41

Thank you so much everyone. The bleeding has stopped, still having cramps but not as bad as earlier.

I have just done another clear blue digital and it has changed from Positive 1-2 weeks (on day 7) to Positive 2-3 weeks - so that's made me feel slightly more at ease.

Imisscoffee2021 · 22/12/2022 22:43

@MammyandAva that's such a relief isn't it! I had cramps all the way to 8-9 weeks and still get crampy days, I think of them as growth spurt days :) there's alot happening in there so cramping is normal, sometimes mine were distractingly there and sort of radiated to my back.

Imisscoffee2021 · 22/12/2022 23:53

@Tinkerbell098 fantastic news about your embaby on board! Wishing you a bfp for Christmas!

@seekingbabyk I'm still getting over that rubbish flu! At home for Christmas now though, we decided to keep bubs a secret until we've had the nuchal scan, as hard as it is to keep a secret with my mother, she's notorious for unpacking bags for people so having to keep pessaries and lubion in my coat pockets hidden away, and I have pretty bad nausea at times these days that makes me retch or be sick so trying to hide that will be ha

seekingbabyk · 23/12/2022 00:01

@Imisscoffee2021 hope you have a wonderful Christmas and manage to keep it hidden. I'm sure you'll be fine everyone will be focused on enjoying themselves!

@MammyandAva that's great news! You must feel relieved seeing that!

Honeybunie · 23/12/2022 08:59

@Tinkerbell098 congratulations on the successful transfer!! So glad everything went well. FET is so much more stress free isn’t it. Apart from the thaw. Sending baby dust and prayers your way 😊

@MinBins EC today?! I hope everything goes smoothly and that they collect a good and high quality amount 😃

@MammyandAva how terrifying about the bleeds but your tests sound soooo very positive. Hope it’ll all work out for you 😊

@Spin101 oh wow 4mm is very little. It is very worrying isn’t it. I’m thinking that’s probably why we couldn’t conceive for over 2 yrs now, on top of poor sperm quality and quantity. Do you get a little bleed or nothing at all? I have a very little bleed for 1-2 days. And after the FET it was meant to be heavier. If anything it was even less than usual. I have my consultation on 5th January. I will tell them all about it then and I want them to listen and do something. I’ve told about three nurses in the past and they all dismissed it telling me I’m one of the lucky ones with such a little period bleed. Well I don’t feel very lucky 🤪 I mentioned it at my last scan again and that lady was the first that took it a bit more serious. She said it might be a problem and said there are ways to address it. She said I could be given viagra which increases the blood circulation to the uterus resulting in thicker lining. So I’ll ask about that in my consultation. I’ll let you know what they say.
I’ve not heard about going back on the pill no. If anything I blame taking the pill for too long on my current situation. But I guess they know what they’re doing.
and yes I was on 6 progynova a day. Two tablets three times a day. I’ve also started on vitamin e supplements and l-arginine or what it’s called. Although I often forget to take it recently due to the no-routine Christmas time 🙈
so you’re having an FET next? How many have you got frozen? Xx

MammyandAva · 23/12/2022 09:25

I'm really not sure what's going on, I had nothing all late after noon and evening and now this morning there's pink blood 😭

Spin101 · 23/12/2022 09:29

@Honeybunie it’s really odd because before I started stims, the doctor put me on the pill to see how I respond and my lining was 7mm. After stims you would expect it to grow, but it decreased to 4mm and wasn’t the triple layer that they usually look for. 😕

The nurses saying you’re lucky for having a light bleed sounds ignorant to me. Now that we’re more aware, we understand it’s because of our very thin lining. Growing up I had sporadic light bleeds. I got prescribed the pill for PCOS. Since I’ve come off the pill I’ve had close to no bleeds apart from after ovulation induction and the last time was after egg collection.

I asked my doctor about viagra and he laughed. I think it’s because this is my one and only cycle on the nhs. You should certainly ask about this. I think it’s quite a modern technique but anything to get that lining to where it needs to be!

I bought l-arginine too two months ago and haven’t touched it 🙈I wasn’t sure about side effects but should just get started on it.

I’ve got 4 frozen and yup FET next, it’ll be 6-7 weeks until I can have the transfer as I’m waiting for the pill. I’m not sure why you need to have a bleed before starting Progynova especially when you don’t usually have periods!

When will you get to go again? Do you have frozen embryos or will you be doing another EC? x

MinBins · 23/12/2022 11:13

Thank you @Honeybunie !

On way in for EC. Wish me luck 🤞🏼 so so nervous but I'm ready as I'll ever be (that's me hyping myself up for the procedure 😂😭).

Tinkerbell098 · 23/12/2022 11:22

@MinBins thinking of you this morning. All the best X
