Hi ladies! 👋
Just as the post says... cycle day 1 of my first IVF round, 20 days until I start Norethisterone then Menopur & Fyremadel.
Looking for others starting cycle or in the cycle for some company.
Sending lots of luck to you all! ❤️

Thanks @Decaffe . I had migraine the past two days - not sure if it was being on my period or no caffeine, but today has been much better. I'm in the office tomorrow so hope it stays. It's just day three so I'm expecting next week to be worse in terms of emotions, tiredness and bloating. My scan is on Saturday with earliest egg collection expected on next Wednesday.

I begin double shots on Thursday and have been told by the nurse that they sting. So will see how it goes Eek! Still nervous about it all but trying to stay calm and go for walks.

1stcycle · 11/10/2022 15:06

Called the clinic as they said if I hadn’t heard from them by 2pm to call them. They said there’s a backlog and they have not had the results yet, they will try by end of the day if not it will be tomorrow morning.

I know what the outcome is and was a CP, just the blood test will give me that closure!

Decaffe · 11/10/2022 15:36

How frustrating @1stcycle, that’s awful of them. I hope they call you back today.

I have started spotting at 10dpo, right on cue and looking exactly how it looks every other time. I feel like calling the clinic and saying, I told you this would happen, but you didn’t listen.

1stcycle · 11/10/2022 15:42

@Decaffe i started spotting from 10dpo and was on and off all week but embaby did implant as I got a positive 14dpo and gradually got darker. So please don’t give up hope as it could be implantation bleeding which looking back is what I think I had. What colour is it?

1stcycle · 11/10/2022 15:43

@Decaffe also you could ring the clinic and let them know as I know some people were told to up their progesterone after spotting, my clinic didn’t tel me too mine, they said it’s very common.

Tinkerbell098 · 12/10/2022 11:26

Hi all, sorry i've been away for a few days, so i've been out of touch.

@1stcycle any luck from the clinic about your bloods? so sorry your bleeding is more period like now. have you got funding for another round? hope you can make some tweaks for the next round. Would it be with the same clinic?

@Decaffe I have everything crossed for you that it is just implantation related. How heavy is it? Hope you can get the clinic to up your pessary dose if you're worried.

I have saved my FMU today to do a CB (expecting an amazon delivery today). I have the blood test tomorrow as well. Hopefully I'll get some answers this week and be out of limbo. Zero symptoms as of yet!

1stcycle · 12/10/2022 11:45

@Tinkerbell098 I still haven’t had a call yet. I’ll call them at 2 if I’ve not heard anything.
As it was covid when we had been trying for 2 years you could not go to doctors for non essential/urgent appointments. So we we went straight private when things calmed down for tests etc, we just used money we had saved to do our bathroom. We did a 2 cycle multi cycle so have another one left now, but will have to pay for medication on top. And bathroom will just have to wait haha! Yes we will use the same clinic they have been great so far to be fair. This is the first time I’ve had to wait for something but it’s the company they sent the bloods to, they have a backlog apparently.

have you tested at all since the weekend? The fact you haven’t bled yet is a good sign. Fingers crossed for your bloods tomorrow and hopefully be quicker than mine! I haven’t tested since Monday as I know it can stay in system for a bit and didn’t want to get my hopes up seeing a positive!

seekingbabyk · 12/10/2022 11:58

@Tinkerbell098 really really hoping we hear you're positive! It would be amazing to get some good news on this thread 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Imisscoffee2021 · 12/10/2022 12:08

@Tinkerbell098 got my fingers crossed for you!

1stcycle · 12/10/2022 13:25

Just had my results and they said they are low and it is a chemical. So can stop pessaries now and have a follow up consultation next week for the next steps. Obviously heartbroken but it was expected.

Tinkerbell098 · 12/10/2022 13:38

@1stcycle I'm sorry :( it sucks! Really hoping they can change things a little for you. First cycle is always trial and error. The whole process is so emotionally draining, we are all IVF warriors as they say. Enjoy your holiday away next month and hope you can get started soon X

@seekingbabyk @Imisscoffee2021 thanks!

Decaffe · 12/10/2022 16:50

So sorry to hear that @1stcycle, sending you a big hug 🫂

I am 99.9% sure I am out too. 11dpo today and my spotting over the last three days has developed exactly as it does normally (amount, colour etc). Brown and more of it today. I think it’s interesting that the progesterone supplements haven’t staved it off, it’s very curious!

The clinic have told me to continue with the progesterone anyway which I will do, but I will stop wasting my FRERs at least! Taking heart that I knew the odds are always against in every cycle so I expected this deep down.

Decaffe · 12/10/2022 16:52

Also, I think I also knew deep down when I did the Day 3 transfer, which halves your odds compared to a Day 5 transfer. Obviously the irony is that we could have actually waited until Day 5 after all, but how were we to know?

seekingbabyk · 12/10/2022 17:21

@1stcycle I'm so sorry sweetie it's awful when you get that call. Even when I was fully bleeding I think you still wonder. It's a relief to come off of the pessaries though and you'll be feeling back to yourself in a few days. Both myself and @Imisscoffee2021 did some exercise (not together) and both said how good it felt to be moving after wrapping ourselves in bubble wrap for weeks so definitely get out for some fresh air.

@Decaffe you never know though just see how the next few days play out. When is your OTD?

Imisscoffee2021 · 12/10/2022 19:05

@Decaffe sorry you're spotting, @seekingbabyk is right about a feeling if normality being a relief, having your body back again, hopefully only briefly until the next cycle!
@1stcycle so sorry, you're being so brave with it all, a true ivf warrior! Sending love and hugs x

Spin101 · 12/10/2022 20:46

@1stcycle so sorry 😞 I hope you’re able to enjoy your holiday and feel stronger and relaxed for your next cycle.

@Imisscoffee2021 It must be really tough having a physically demanding job whilst going through IVF. You’re tough!! I hope your frozen cycle is the one ❤️

1stcycle · 13/10/2022 09:42

Thanks all, I’m ok, look forward to trying the “fun” way for a few months and enjoy my holiday next month.

@seekingbabyk yeah I feel getting out and walking the dog always helps, fresh air and also time to clear mind!

@Tinkerbell098 hope all goes ok today with your bloods!

@Decaffe i hope your spotting just stays spotting for you! When is your OTD?

Tinkerbell098 · 13/10/2022 09:50

@1stcycle glad you're feeling ok. Who knows? maybe the "fun" way would work for you in the meantime. Are you unexplained? Some people have fallen naturally after a failed IVF cycle, as if the body gets used to having an embryo inside. I've been for bloods this morning. Hope they'll ring back in the afternoon with good news. Fingers crossed!

seekingbabyk · 13/10/2022 09:56

@Tinkerbell098 everything crossed for you today xx

Decaffe · 13/10/2022 10:05

Congratulations @Tinkerbell098 I have every faith the blood test will align with the positive tests! May you be the first of many on this thread 🤍

Decaffe · 13/10/2022 10:14

@1stcycle my OTD is Monday (17dpo! Clearly they have never heard of a FRER 😂), but trust me I don’t need a blood test to know at this stage. I have just packed away all my paperwork from this round. It is going to be awful having to tell DH.

I have to do one natural cycle and then I should be able to do the embryo transfer cycle in November.

Sounds terrible perhaps but as a 3BC the likelihood of success is low according to this chart, plus I’m sure my age will be a contributing factor in making this figure even lower. So, in my head I’m looking towards my next cycle in January. In the meantime I am going to take Prof Winston’s advice…!

How are you feeling today?

@Tinkerbell098 I have everything crossed for you! We are due positive news in this thread! Yes we have unexplained fertility issues, so never know we may be lucky next few months and if not we have the second cycle which likely to be January now. Fingers crossed more embabies and some in the freezer for more shots at it!

@Decaffe you still have a few days till OTD so praying it sticks for you. At least we have this safe space here to express our feelings! i’m feeling ok today, I’m still spotting a little now but full flow has stopped. just ordered some more pre conceive vitamins I’ve change to the preceive ones to give them a try (I was on pregnacare pre conceive him and her) and reading up to see if anything I can eat or do to help lol!

I don’t know when I will ovulate now, so I need to order some ovulation sticks. What ones do people prefer?

Decaffe · 13/10/2022 11:17

I swear by the easy@home sticks used in conjuction with the PreMom app (same company). It is super and so easy to use. Test daily, but not with FMU. As you see the sticks getting a bit darker then start testing twice a day (I have been known to do three times out of curiosity) until the app logs your peak.

Tinkerbell098 · 13/10/2022 11:28

@1stcycle I used CB advanced. It's too expensive though so I only used one or two a month as my cycles were pretty predictable. I also temped (although this only confirms after ovulation rather than tells you before you ovulate). Hope the cycles haven't changed too much after IVF and you can try naturally, especially if you are unexplained. Wish you all the best X

1stcycle · 13/10/2022 11:47

@Decaffe @Tinkerbell098 thanks guys I’ll take a look. I was the same cycle was very predictable and used CB before, I always tempted and used Ovy too, but last few months not checked as I was going to do IVF, so now not sure if the IVF has changed my cycle I’ll get some in to see. Fingers crossed not changed too much!
