IVF - Stims Aug - Egg Collection Sep

Just as the post says... cycle day 1 of my first IVF round, 20 days until I start Norethisterone then Menopur & Fyremadel.
Looking for others starting cycle or in the cycle for some company.

@Tinkerbell098 I think they're just going for the best results possible. Left ovary had 8 follicles 16-24mm and right was a little sod to find and had 9 but 10-16mm. We were trying to avoid Monday as I think there are rail strikes so originally thought Sunday but the consultant had a look and said Tuesday would be better. It's fine I'll just hold out - not that I have a choice lol! At one point they were worried the ovaries were tied as they couldn't see one so it's just a relief everything is ok tbh!

@seekingbabyk that's a great number of follicles. Makes sense to wait for the smaller ones to catch up a little bit. Glad nothing was wrong with the ovaries and everything seems ok. At least it's the weekend so you can take it easy. Are you triggering Sunday night then? Hope it goes quick for you X

@Tinkerbell098 yes triggering Sunday night. I'm actually relieved. None of our family know but my mum pops over a lot and sometimes unexpectedly but she's going on holiday Tuesday morning so it's good she'll be out of the way. Also we have a summer house being delivered and some train strikes Monday so that would have been a bit chaotic. I feel like we can just try to enjoy the weekend now. Also my work is quite busy atm so planning to work a bit over the weekend so I'm caught up and can then have a few days relaxing after EC. Counting down the jabs now though. 5 left including trigger 😁

@seekingbabyk sounds like the timing is perfect. Enjoy your last couple of days of jabs (5 is nothing!) and Tuesday will be here in no time!

@seekingbabyk glad you know trigger day! Not long now, and a nice break from menopur!

I'm OK, just mild mild pink or brown faintness but usually nothing, some mild cramps. Just have a feeling of not being pregnant though, symptoms gone, no nausea or sore boobs at all, bizarre it's like it's all just been switched off!

Been a bit offline, but wanted to say hope everything is okay @Imisscoffee2021. Our bodies and minds go through so much during this journey - sending you calm thoughts and keeping everything crossed for you.

@seekingbabyk hope the last few injections go smoothly and the EC!

Hope you're all doing okay - I'm just waiting for my next stims to begin hopefully next month.

@Imisscoffee2021 hope you're ok. You wouldn't think that would happen would you because even if it doesn't stick (fingers crossed that's not the case) you still have hcg in your system so you'd think symptoms would still be there. Hopefully tomorrow the symptoms Will be back and test will be strong.

Ah I begin approx mid-Dec hopefully once my cycle starts @seekingbabyk, looking forward to it - seems like ages away but it'll come by quickly. I can't believe it's going to be December soon! My mind is still stuck in summer 😅

@MinBins awww that's exciting! The second time feels a lot easier because you've done it once. Also because they know what works and doesn't work they seem to pay more attention. I've definitely had closer monitoring this time but that's good. See if we can both go into the new year with some in the freezer! 🤞🏻

Thank you ladies, had a rubbish day yesterday and annoyed at myself for grieving already, my husbands away vaulting his folks this weekend and I'm missing him massively too, such a sap! Shaking it off til the scan and see how I go from there. Interestingly when I was googling faded tests at this stage I read about the hook effect, did an experiment by diluting fmu with lots of water and lines darker again, something about hcg too high.

@MinBins brilliant you're fitting a cycle in before Xmas! It's mad it's Christmas day next month, I feel like autumn's just slipping away!

I think it's our nature to start preparing for the worst like we're guarding our hearts. One thing infertility takes from you is that joy of finding out you're pregnant and the daydreaming about the life growing inside you because it's such a rollercoaster. It's such a crap journey to be on but once we all have our little munchkins in our arms it'll be worth it - we just have to keep going.

What time is your scan? Is someone going with you if hubby is away?x

@seekingbabyk Yeah we're so used to managing expectations and convincing ourselves the next step will be the one! Such a mental drain, and I'm annoyed at myself for wasting a day yesterday to it - not like me I'm a very positive person but this last 2 weeks had just brought out all this anxiety! My husband is more of a worrier and he's been so steady and calm, such a support.

The scan is at 2:45 but I'm happy to go alone, it's such early days. He's coming with me to the official IVF clinic scan on Friday if all goes well today. I prefer to be alone tbh, if it's bad news and I look at him it'll set me off, I want this baby so much for him not just for me, want him to have what he wants in life so seeing his face would just make me so sad if it's not good! He offered not to go to his folks but felt dramatic when its so early, I'm only 6 weeks today really.

How are you feeling on your last day of menopur? Or do you have a last one tomorrow morning?

@Imisscoffee2021 bless you for putting him first so much. He must feel so loved and looked after. I'm sure the scan will be fine later and will be thinking of you. How are your symptoms?

I feel ok. Last menopur tonight, last fyremadel tomorrow morning. My side effects seem to change every day. Today's big issue is my boobs - they're so sore and feel huge! My nipples feel like there are clamps on them! I hate wishing my life away but Tuesday cannot come soon enough! Going to distract myself this weekend with Christmas shopping and getting caught up with work so I'm sure it'll fly past but I think I have definitely earnt a glass of wine on Wednesday night lol!

Thanks so much for checking in! Waiting for a bus after my scan so thought I'd update, there's a baby in there with a heartbeat! Measuring 6+1, when my scan 3 days ago measured 5+3! Sonigrpaher also saw a few little pockets if fluid from implantation around the sac which she said could have been the random bleed and subsequent light spotting I've had.
