IVF - Stims Aug - Egg Collection Sep

Hi ladies! 👋
Just as the post says... cycle day 1 of my first IVF round, 20 days until I start Norethisterone then Menopur & Fyremadel.
Looking for others starting cycle or in the cycle for some company.

@Decaffe my clinic didn't test my blood at all during stims and after, and when I spoke to the consultant about my FET and again raised that I spot and have low 21 day bloods despite ovulating, she then said they'd check it and made it sound like it was this new innovative thing! My clinic does a few things differently to many I've read on here, they don't do ultrasound guided transfers either when most seem to have them?
I'm pushing for lubion injections this time with the pessaries, don't want to wonder if it was progesterone again and don't want them to think because there's 5 embryos we can just keep going, it would take us nearly a year to transfer them all if they all survive the thaw! Hope your cycologest works better with your body, I had utrogestan and was OK though clearly wasn't enough for my levels.

Morning all, unfortunately I think I’m out. Woke up in the night with bad cramps and bleeding a lot more now and gone into period like. Tested again this morning, still positive on clear blue normal but much lighter. Clear blue digital says 1-2 weeks, think people expect 3-4 weeks at this point. My clinic opens at half 8 so have to call them then about yesterdays test and will explain about the bleeding. But very likely a chemical now.

Have an ongoing migraine and am hoping it settles. I wondered if there are any common side-effects any of you had from the stim meds if you don't mind sharing please? Feel like I want to be on top on anything else that I may feel over the next week as I go into the work week. Thanks!

@MinBins thanks, I have to go in for bloods later to double check but they said it sounds like a CP. Absolutely gutted, but new cycle and journey continues xx

@Decaffe I didn't have my progesterone levels checked at all. Also had irritation like you - almost thrush like with soreness. Next time apparently I could look at either oral or injections so we'll see when we get there!

Oh no @1stcycle I'm sorry you are going through that. Even if everything is ok it's so scary and upsetting once you see the blood. Sending you big hugs today xxx

@MinBins I was really lucky with the stims side effects tbh but mostly bloating, some tiredness, very emotional and cried a lot but I think a lot of that was the anxiety I had about EC. I had a couple of days of pure rage which is very unlike me.

So sorry to what you've woken up to @1stcycle , you sounds so strong despite the news, hoping its not chemical and you get good blood results but if not sending hugs x

@seekingbabyk @Imisscoffee2021 thanks, praying for a miracle, but being realistic. Absolutely devastated, after 3 days of tests getting darker and then on a high yesterday. It’s been like a rollercoaster, will have a few months trying naturally, as we have a holiday booked next month and then it’s Christmas so hopefully second IVF cycle I’ll do with Januarys AF. Fingers crossed more embabies that time!

I had my meeting with consultant this morning. He's upping menopur next time but seems really confident so feeling happy. Roll on November although still waiting for October AF to show up so god knows when that will be 🤷🏼‍♀️

@seekingbabyki was so worried about AF this month being late and messing with FET as have specific dates can do it without having to take time off work this month, thankfully was only one say late but I was doing all my tricks to bring it on as it was spotting a day or two before! Went for a long run to encourage it 😅 hope yours kicks in soon, common side effect of stims as I didn't realise the period after ivf stim cycle isn't classed as a usual period, more a bleed.

Thanks @seekingbabyk - that's good to hear. So far it has been migraine and tiredness. If I have a rage day then I hope its when I'm in the office haha.

@seekingbabyk thanks, I’ve taken it easy in work today and just going to take my dog for a little walk soon to try and take my mind off it and stop googling things haha! im glad they are upping your meds and doing something a bit different this time. I’m sure November will come round quick now!

@Imisscoffee2021 I’m glad it wasn’t too late for you, when is your FET scheduled for?

@1stcycle Hope you have a lovely wall with your pup :) it's 27th Oct so not long, start taking oestrogen tomorrow. I don't want to tell work so wanted to time it with my next week off and it's luckily just fallen before that so can take that day without anyone noticing.

@Imisscoffee2021 Glad to hear the timings with work have worked out. It must be so tough when you have to be physically present at work.

@Spin101 thank you :) it is, and really hard when its a physical job, I work outdoors in the heritage sector so some days are brutal on your body and I can't just not do it (the wrath of my hard working colleagues if I just wandered off!) so have to take a week off for each transfer or tell my boss, this is my last bit of hols to use for that though so if I have a third one I'll have to fess up!

@MinBins yes definitely unleash it at work lol!

@Imisscoffee2021 oh really I didn't know that! Feel like I'm all over the place at the moment have no idea when I'll come on. And the next cycle will be when we're starting round 2 so could have done with knowing dates to book appointments in but I guess they have that all the time anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️ one thing the consultant said today which I didn't know was that your amh is usually the number of follicles they expect roughly. Has that worked out for any of you? I have amh of 21 and had 17 follicles so he said that's less than they'd expect

@seekingbabyk my amh was 21 at hospital and 16.4 at clinic and had 11 follicles that month, but months before had 29 and 21 follicles so could be! I don't know why I had a drop on my first round. I've never heard of a relation between the two at my clinic, they just shrugged when I asked about the drop 😅

@Imisscoffee2021 yeah I've had some shrugging too but I guess it just varies depending on so many things.

I really believe our results were due to stress. I got myself in such a state with the whole thing but I think going forwards I'll be completely different. The worst thing last time for me was the transfer - I definitely found that the most uncomfortable bit so I know I can handle a few rounds of stims and EC now.

Just keeping everything crossed that every one of us gets our bfp eventually

@1stcycle sorry just catching up on messages, I’m so so sorry. Did you get the blood rest back yet? You are so brave and so strong to have come this far, don’t forget that. Big hug your way X

@Tinkerbell098 Hope you had a few nice days away. I haven’t had the results yet, I had my bloods at 3pm yesterday and they said they will call me today, if I’ve not heard by 2pm I have to ring them. Although it’s pretty much a period now and been quite a lot of red blood so I am not expecting good news.

@Tinkerbell098 a weekend away sounds just the tonic. From memory I think you're in limbo too but you have your blood test on Thursday? Have you done a test recently?

@MinBins how are you getting on with your stims? Yes the main effect of them for me too was up and down emotions, I could cry intensely and then be furious all in the same day! Do you know when you have your next/first scan?

@Imisscoffee2021 I have just worked out why I can never tag you when I type the letter L, you are not Little Miss Coffee, you are I Miss Coffee! I have been 'reading' you wrong all this time! Funnily enough I am sitting here with some Kenco Millicano Americano Decaff which I got at the weekend. It's scratching the itch for now! @seekingbabyk Yes I totally agree that the worry of the unknown made it all much worse. If needs be, it looks like I'll be doing my second funded round in January and I agree that knowing now how the scans/blood tests work, what do do with the injections, what happens on egg collection day etc, will make it easier. I am sure I will be crying and raging along the way though still
