Hi ladies! 👋
Just as the post says... cycle day 1 of my first IVF round, 20 days until I start Norethisterone then Menopur & Fyremadel.
Looking for others starting cycle or in the cycle for some company.
Sending lots of luck to you all! ❤️

Congratulations on your embabies @Tinkerbell098 and @1stcycle ! Fantastic news :) xx

Everythingcrossed89 · 24/09/2022 18:00

Thank you @Tinkerbell098 for your message - wishing you all the best with your first cycle.

thank you for your message @Imisscoffee2021 im sorry it didn’t work for you either - it’s totally gutting. It’s all feeling very raw for us this weekend but hoping to shift the sadness in time and think ahead to the potential of the FET and even a cycle to try naturally again in between - you never know ey! That’s great stims hasn’t messed with your cycle by the sounds of things. I’m hoping for the same!! My NHS clinic is closing for a couple of months from Dec for renovation so I really need my period to come by the end of oct to squeeze in a transfer!! Wishing you all the luck in the world for your FET X

Imisscoffee2021 · 24/09/2022 18:06

Thank you @AbsolutelyEverything :) we tried this month naturally too, isn't hope a crazy thing 😅 16 months of not a hint of a line trying natualy and severe male factor, but we're leaving no stone unturned and no opportunity not taken! Hope you can get a FET in before Xmas, how annoying they're closing but suppose it can't be helped! I think I wouldn't be able to get another in either this year just with period timings, it would mean a transfer on round Xmas day so hoping this one works! X

Everythingcrossed89 · 24/09/2022 18:37

No absolutely gotta give every cycle a go if possible! You do hear of people falling the month after failed ivf…fingers crossed for you and this natural cycle or FET X

Tinkerbell098 · 25/09/2022 10:16

@1stcycle hope you managed to enjoy the wedding and feel a bit better now. It’s going to be a Wednesday transfer for me too. Was told 2 of the 5 may not make it so hopefully 3 would survive until Wednesday. Fingers crossed for both of us 🤞

seekingbabyk · 25/09/2022 10:23

@Everythingcrossed89 I'm so sorry your transfer didn't work. From what I've read it usually takes a few tries so just stick with it and I'm sure you'll have your positive soon x

1stcycle · 25/09/2022 10:27

@Tinkerbell098 the wedding was lovely thanks, I kept topping up with paracetamol and I was fine. I found the pretending to drink the hardest as always have eyes on me lol

This morning though not long after having my pessary and antibiotics I started to feel really nauseous. Has anyone else had that?

I don’t get an update until tomorrow. Fingers crossed the other two make it for you. I’m preparing myself that one or two might not make it. I just really hope we manage to get one at least for transfer Wednesday x

Tinkerbell098 · 25/09/2022 14:54

@1stcycle glad you had a good time at the wedding. I’m not too bad other than being massively bloated. No nausea as of yet but I think it can be a side effect of the progesterone. Did you say you were on three per day? What dose are they? Good luck for the call tomorrow X

seekingbabyk · 25/09/2022 14:56

@1stcycle yes I had nausea and a really bad headache one of the days too - I think that's the progesterone x

1stcycle · 25/09/2022 21:11

@Tinkerbell098 yes 3 a day and they are 200mg. What are you on?

@seekingbabyk luckily it went after about half an hour, haven’t had headaches yet but feel drained!

seekingbabyk · 25/09/2022 23:52

@1stcycle oh that's good I think mine was a few hours but eating something seemed to help. Hopefully it'll just be one day x

Tinkerbell098 · 26/09/2022 08:08

@1stcycle i’m on 400mg twice a day. Im sooo bloated can’t wear any of my jeans now!

Decaffe · 26/09/2022 09:33

Tinkerbell098 · 26/09/2022 08:08

@1stcycle i’m on 400mg twice a day. Im sooo bloated can’t wear any of my jeans now!

I’m sitting in the waiting room for my Day 8 scan and my jeans are fully undone and have been since I left the house! 😂

Tinkerbell098 · 26/09/2022 09:42

@Decaffe I know, I'm just in joggy bottoms now. Really struggled to find something to wear to my in-laws last night (wonder if they thought I was pregnant!). Good luck with the scan! Hope you don't have to wait too long.

1stcycle · 26/09/2022 09:52

@Decaffe hope the scan went well. I suffer with my tummy and bloatedness my whole life so kind of used to it, and majority of my clothes are bloat friendly haha!

@Tinkerbell098 ahh so on a 200mg more. Hope I’m having enough!

just had the call, 2 are looking good he said at the moment and one is slightly behind with 5 cells but he is hoping it will catch up. They will call tomorrow to let me know what time transfer Wednesday. Fingers crossed at least one will make it 🤞🏻

Decaffe · 26/09/2022 10:04

I have everything crossed for you @1stcycle and @Tinkerbell098!

I’m just waiting for my bloods now. Out of seven follicles two aren’t growing so he thinks we’re going to collect five. I’m a bit upset because my previous AFCs had shown nine and ten follicles. I feel like my odds are even lower now because even if they get all five there’ll be attrition. The consultant is absolutely unfazed and says things are looking good but I can’t help but be disappointed.

Decaffe · 26/09/2022 10:06

To be honest with you I’m now wondering what the point of stims are? They haven’t stimmed anything, my numbers are actually worse than they are naturally!

Tinkerbell098 · 26/09/2022 10:56

@Decaffe don't be disheartened. They only managed to collect 5 for me too, despite them stopping stims 3 days earlier than planned. But all 5 fertilised. You only need one good one!

@1stcycle ah that's great! I'm not getting more updates, so can't help thinking how they're doing. Weirdly feel attached to them now.

Decaffe · 26/09/2022 11:38

Oh I didn’t realise that @Tinkerbell098! That’s actually really encouraging to know. ♥️

I think I’m just really emotional right now, I blame the drugs!

Tinkerbell098 · 26/09/2022 11:40

@Decaffe yes it's really hard and emotionally overwhelming. Have they told you when EC would be?

Imisscoffee2021 · 26/09/2022 11:51

@Decaffe don't be too disheartened, I was in the same boat as you, had 11 follicles then only 5 in running, then on the day they got 7 mature eggs and all fertilised, then all made it today 5, 3 top quality and 4 good. One slowed down so wasn't frozen on day 6 but had one fresh and got 5 frosties so we didn't really have any attrition during the 5 day culture, we were on edge waiting for it to happen and it didn't! You may get more on the day that you expect too like I did, a few catch up after the trigger sometimes.

@1stcycle I'm the same as you, always bloated snd always in leggings, helps I have an active job so my uniform is essentially sports leggings 😅

Tinkerbell098 · 26/09/2022 13:39

@Imisscoffee2021 definitely need to invest in some leggings if this bloating continues! I've never really been a leggings person, but really love the sound of that now!

seekingbabyk · 26/09/2022 13:41

@Imisscoffee2021 @Tinkerbell098 I was in floaty dresses and loose jumpsuits the whole time - the bloating was awful!

Tinkerbell098 · 26/09/2022 13:46

@seekingbabyk did they bloating last right up until you stopped taking the pessaries? did it get worse towards the end or stayed the same? I'm just worried if it's bad now, just after a couple of days, what would it be like after two weeks?

seekingbabyk · 26/09/2022 13:52

@Tinkerbell098 it was definitely at its worst a few days after EC. I think any time you have trauma in that area, your body kind of inflated to protect it so it should go down a bit now. Towards the end of taking them it had gone down massively so maybe 7dpt onwards I had nothing at all. I suffer from bloating anyway though so it's really hard to say how severe it was. Keep your water intake up and try to avoid gassy foods like beans etc. also more smaller meals rather than a couple of big meals should help xx
