Hello I have been following a few ABC ivf clinic threads since beginners Ng of this year as I had my first baseline scan in Wimbledon clinic in may and had a few things to overcome before I can proceed I found the threads very helpful and comforting to follow and notice the last one ended and can't find a next one so thought I would make one ahead of my upcoming treatment soon :)

Thank you so much @Akter1984

We had a day 3 transfer because we only had 3 fertilised, so we didn't get a grade but I think it was an 8 or 9 cell embryo.. sorry I can't be more helpful!

Sazles99 · 28/12/2021 13:11

Sorry @Akter1984, I just looked through my notes and they did tell me.. it was 10-cell grade 1 😊

Happy new year everyone, Following thr bad news in December I have had an MRI scan which showed the niche to be quite small and I was advised by gynaecologist to persue a round of ivf as the surgery to repair and remove endo and adhesions got potentially cause more harm to my fertility.
Also the waiting times for surgery at the moment is 6-12month plus at the moment...so I sent all the info over to abc they have agreed to let me try thr ivf but if fluid is seen when it comes to transfer day they will have to freeze all until fluid clears or I have the surgery.. just awaiting confirmation of initial consultation date now. Hopefully this will be a better year..
Would anyone be able to advise me on the payment structure at all. Do you have to pay an amount at the consultation and how long do you have to pay off the remaining balance before you can start Hello?
Hello @Akter1984 was just wondering if you had an update regarding your transfer :)

@Herehoping93
That great news... hope u get to start soon. As for the Payment process .. as I'm aware u need to make all payments upfront in advance of the treatment .however if u got abc payment plan then this doesn't not apply.
I started my FET cycle at the end of Dec, currently taking estrogen and pessaries . I also have some fluid issue .. I was last seen by a senior doc. At last scan he couldn't see any fluid in uterus.. so I have been booked for my transfer early next week .BiscuitConfused. Pls keep ur fingers crossed for me. I'll let u no how I get on ....

Herehoping93 · 07/01/2022 09:32

@Akter1984 thank you for the info..
Wow that amazing so please for you that no fluid was showing up in scan, tha ti's my main worry also for implantation etc. Goves me some hope that you have been given go ahead. If you don't mind me asking what was your fluid caused from? Mine is a a small c section scar defect.
I will definitely keep my fingers crossed for you.
Unfortunately I had to use my savings for the ivf to pay privately for diagnostics to find out what to was before could go ahead with the ivf so now am trying to re save a quick as possible. Abc did phone me and wanted to have consultation in the next couple of week but I may not be able to start until my March cycle cause of the funds. Hope fully will all work out.
Looking forward to hearing from you next week.

Hi all,

I was part of the old thread as I had once cycle this time last year (Harley St) which resulted in one embryo and miscarriage. I had another cycle in October which resulted in 6 embryos but a risk of OHSS. I'm waiting to come on my period in a couple of weeks so I can start process for the FET. Nice to see some of you in the same boat and some success stories :)

Akter1984 · 07/01/2022 10:19

@Herehoping93
My fluid was also because of previous C section scar defect .So during my treatment cycle I had to freeze all and then wait for next cycle to see if fluid is showing. One first scan I had for my FET fluid was showing apparently. Then doc said we will rescan in a few days with senior doc. He said fluid seem to have dried up.

Akter1984 · 07/01/2022 10:22

@edibletreats : welcome to the group. Fingers crossed for the up and coming cycle.
I'm feeling so nervous for next week and how I will cope with the 2 week wait.

Herehoping93 · 07/01/2022 13:17

@edibletreats hello welcome to thread, good luck with your FET
@Akter1984 that's great thank you for telling me nice to know someone else in same situation (did you have go take the antibiotics because of the fluid ) sorry read online that sometimes antibiotics can help disperse the fluid ?

Any members in the thread. Would you like to meet up all in London somewhere? Would be lovely to share and discuss our treatment plans together

edibletreats · 11/01/2022 10:00

that's a nice idea @Akter1984. I would suggest perhaps a virtual meet up? That way maybe more people can join and its less of a commitment on schedules etc?

LondonladyTTC · 11/01/2022 21:26

Hello, I also think it's a lovely idea and would be keen to meet either in person or virtually.

My meds arrived in the post today, all feeling very real now.

Herehoping93 · 14/01/2022 07:58

@LondonladyTTC good luck starting your mens soon :)
@Akter1984 How are you doing? any update on your transfer?

Akter1984 · 14/01/2022 09:50

@Herehoping93 hope you are well? I'm had my Transfer done on Tuesday. Pls keep your fingers crossed for me. It was a 5 day blastocyst (4Ab). I'm so nervous trying to keep myself busy not to think about it or test early test.

Akter1984 · 14/01/2022 09:51

How is everyone else on this thread do

Sazles99 · 14/01/2022 10:12

@Akter1984 stay positve! I'll be keeping everything crossed for you!! How have you been feeling since the transfer? I had terrible bloating and cramping throughout my 2ww.. try and keep yourself and your mind busy and hopefully it flies by!

I had my early pregnancy scan this week but baby was measuring small and the nurse thought the heartbeat looked a bit slow 😔 so she referred me to my local EPU for another check in a week or so.. hoping little bean has a growth spurt!

Akter1984 · 14/01/2022 11:42

@Sazles99 : yea I have been feeling bloated and also some cramping. But I'm convinced it's on my head .. did u get any other symptoms during 2ww?
Fingers cross in next scan everything is looking ok with ur rainbow Thanks

Herehoping93 · 14/01/2022 16:02

I'm okay thank you @Akter1984, anxiously waiting for the clinic to contact me regarding the initial consultation.Oh wow so please transfer happened for you very exciting I will definitely keep everything crossed for you your story is giving me hope feeling very apprehensive regarding the fluid issue I have and costs etc.
Do you have you test date, defo try and hold off testing but good luck 🤞

In regard to costs etc, I am going to have to go for isci based on mfi also so that's now £3900, but I have read about freezing etc and more than likely I will end up having my cycle frozen, can anyone explain whether you have to to pay for the full two years storage fee or can you freeze for shorter amount of times and how much it all costs.
Also when you have to pay for the freezing should I factoring this in to pay for before my cycle or is there some leeway in regards to that?
Sorry I am just trying to be as prepared as possible.

@Sazles99 good luck at your next scan I do hope everything is okay ❤

OP posts:
Akter1984 · 14/01/2022 16:35

@Herehoping93 : yes I have my blood test booked for next week.
As for costings: yes you will be need to pay for storage. They will ask for this just before egg collection date. £995 for 2 years storage. You will get a refund if you use all ur stored embryo. I think you can get one year or even minimum 3 months storage as well.

LondonladyTTC · 14/01/2022 18:52

@Sazles99 so sorry to hear that you need to be go to EPU, what a worrying time. Hope all is ok.
@Akter1984 keeping my fingers crossed for you.
@Herehoping93 and good luck for your consultation! We are getting ICSI too sadly. It adds so much to the cost. From memory a years storage wasn't too much cheaper then two years. (I think it was around 800 for one year and 995 for two).

Herehoping93 · 15/01/2022 00:22

@londonladyTtC @Akter1984 thank you for the information.
Looking forward to your news next week keep us updated in any symptoms you may experience :)

Hi all,

hope you all had a good weekend
@Sazles99 hope all is well and fingers crossed for that growth spurt

Did anyone self isolate before a cycle or transfer? I am going to start the meds for my FET this week but I have had a few people in close proximity test positive (in daughter's school and my brother!). Does anyone know that given the isolation period is now down to 5 days if you have negative LFTs, would the clinic also be ok with that?

LondonladyTTC · 17/01/2022 17:17

@edibletreats I didn't see anything about isolation requirements. I just planned to be as careful as possible for the next few weeks but hadn't planned to isolate- you are making me want to recheck all the documentation though in case I missed the requirement!

@Sazles99 I have been thinking about you and hope you get on ok at EPU

@Akter1984 good luck for your blood test.

AF arrived yesterday so I start Bemfola tonight, and have my first scan booked for Friday morning.

Akter1984 · 17/01/2022 17:37

@LondonladyTTC : Thank you . But I not feeling very optimistic it's work Sad. I haven't had an obvious systems and I could resist doing a preg test at home today. It came up as 'negative ' so I don't no what to expect.
