Hi

I am just starting a new thread in case anyone else is falling into the September/October timings...I have been in other threads which have been so so supportive and a bit of a godsend really, but I'm a bit behind where everyone is up to.

I had a failed cycle in June unfortunately and didn't respond as they expected. Then was supposed to start again in august but unfortunately they saw a cyst on one of my ovaries so have delayed the next cycle to September (I think my stims will fall into October as they'll put me on norithisterone).

Be great to chat to others who are about to start soon 😊

@Coops0406 yes good thank you. Oh that's good news.
Yes I consented to that too. That's a good idea. Was that a follow up appointment you had?

Coops0406 · 06/11/2021 15:48

@Reefy it was just a nurse appointment to go through the results of the PGT-A as they had come back. My proper follow up appointment for the failed cycle is on the 1st December as my consultant is away for 3 weeks 🤦🏾‍♀️

Coops0406 · 06/11/2021 15:49

@Reefy she just mentioned some tests that the consultant may discuss and sent over some information about them

Reefy · 06/11/2021 16:17

@Coops0406 oh no typical isn't it! I'm glad you have one tho.

pkp11 · 06/11/2021 17:45

@Reefy great news! Very happy for you. Good luck on Monday!
@Coops0406 very sorry for the BFN test. I know how you feel its so disheartening. My bleeding lasted 7 days, but this was my first time.
Looking forward to Friday for my appt with the consultant to see what my options are.

Reefy · 06/11/2021 18:27

@pkp11 thank you. Yes not long that appointment now!

Coops0406 · 07/11/2021 16:50

@Reefy I know! But a break from it all is probably a little blessing really.

@pkp11 we feel okay. Just pleased we have 2 euploid embryos and want to do the best we can to hopefully make this work.
Fab news, Friday will be here in no time!! Let us know how you get on

We have none to freeze 😢 so that's it no more NHS goes now. They said 1 made blastocyst so going to transfer that today.

Coops0406 · 09/11/2021 18:02

@Reefy how was your transfer? I hope you feel okay. I'm so sorry, I know how heartbreaking having none to freeze is, this was us in our only nhs cycle too. Stay hopeful and look after yourself. Like I said, another lady in exactly the same position as we were in June is now pregnant and I'm really hoping that is the case for you. Sending you lots of love and sticky baby dust ❤️🤞🏾

OP posts:
Reefy · 09/11/2021 18:09

@Coops0406 yes the transfer was absolutely fine I just watched all on the screen. The grade of it was a 3BC & I said to the embryologist oh it's not good but she said it can be but I know she can't agree with what I say. My others we of CC quality so hence why they couldn't freeze them. I get only time will tell. Thank you ☺️🥚🤞

pkp11 · 14/11/2021 00:10

@Reefy very sorry to hear you don't have any to freeze. Fingers crossed that this round is success for you! I hope you're resting up and have the best outcome!
@Coops0406 hope you are doing well too?
I had my appt with consultant yesterday. We have been advised to do FET and I think we will do the medicated one instead of natural. Still thinking about our options but I think we've made our decision.
You guys are lucky you've had nhs funding, we paid for our 1st cycle and will do for FET. I contacted NHS last year through my go referral and they still haven't even asked me for a consultation!

Reefy · 14/11/2021 08:13

@pkp11 yes I'm trying to take it easy & rest as much as I can. Glad you have seen someone and make the decision on what you will do. Sorry that you haven't heard back from anyone! I would keep pestering them!

Coops0406 · 14/11/2021 08:15

@pkp11 I'm doing okay. Decided to get myself a PT once a week in the run up to Xmas to try and get me exercising again, I haven't done anything since February and all motivation has gone. I also tried a fertility yoga on the fertility network, it's every Thursday at 6.30pm for the next 5 weeks now...it was quite good to try and focus your mind on thinking nothing!! But hard, my mind kept wandering off! Definitely worth a try though.

@Reefy how are you doing? Are you managing to keep your mind busy? Have you tested early or managed to hold on?

OP posts:
Reefy · 14/11/2021 08:26

@Coops0406 good for you. Hope you are enjoying it. I think I would be lucky to last 1 session with a PT 😂. Yes I'm ok, been back to work but nothing to heavy as made my days short so that's been good. I think we are actually going to go out for the day today as my OH has been on annual leave but all we have done is go to the clinic 😂. Nope I haven't tested early & I won't il be good. Last time I actually wanted a day later after OTD!

pkp11 · 14/11/2021 09:02

@Reefy great that you've been taking it easy. Enjoy your day out, I'm sure it will keep your mind of things. Yes I tried pestering them but given up now qnd I hope I don't need to contact them again!
@Coops0406 brilliant news with a PT. I've got back into walking everyday which I was doing before and it feels so good. I thanks for yoga idea I will see if I can start too as I've always wanted to give that a go.
Have a lovely Sunday ladies!

Coops0406 · 14/11/2021 09:18

@Reefy that's great. Keep looking after yourself and I hope the week passes soon enough. When is OTD for you?

@pkp11 there is a link on the fertility network to register. And some moves she says aren't good at particular times in your cycle or during ivf so gives you different things to do. Most of it is just breathing though so quite good to try and focus you mind on something other than fertility!

Reefy · 14/11/2021 09:37

@Coops0406 thank you I will do. It's Wednesday but I deffo feel like AF is on the way!

Coops0406 · 14/11/2021 09:51

@Reefy lots of feelings if AF can are the same as pregnancy so stay positive. Thinking of you and keeping everything crossed for you! 🤞🏾

OP posts:
Reefy · 14/11/2021 10:00

@Coops0406 thank you 🤞☺️

Reefy · 19/11/2021 05:27

Negative from us. I tested Wednesday & it was but the clinic said I had to do another one today before I could stop the medication. I've found this second round a lot tougher then the last one. I'm off away on Monday for a few days with the family which will do me good. Hope everyone is doing ok.

Coops0406 · 19/11/2021 06:34

@Reefy I'm so sorry, sending you lots of love, it's so hard once you've done one to then have to continue with the meds. It's good that you are going away for a few days, I hope you enjoy some quality time with the family 🥰

We're just plodding along waiting for our review. Just less than a couple of weeks now. My PT got covid in time for our first session so I haven't exercised! But I've been full of a cold again this last week (I had one for a few weeks in the run up to our ivf round!) so it's probably a good thing that I couldn't start.

How are you @pkp11?

OP posts:
Reefy · 19/11/2021 06:37

@Coops0406 thank you.
Yes 1st December will be here before we know it! Oh no, but yes at least the timing with that & you having a cold was at the same time. I hope it clears up soon ☺️

pkp11 · 20/11/2021 08:28

@Reefy so sorry for this outcome, I hope you're doing okay and glad you have something planned with family to take your mind off things.

@Coops0406 hope you feel better soon, stay safe as there are many people catching covid and colds atm. How's yoga?

I have been ok just busy at work and thinking about options now. We're sure now we want to press ahead with FET so I will call clinic on Monday to see when they organise for us. Not sure if it's possible before Christmas as i will have time off which may be better for me. I think I was trying too much to be normal before which could have impacted my body. Or am I just over analysing? Who knows

Reefy · 28/11/2021 15:47

Hi hope everyone is doing well.

@Coops0406 good luck with appointment coming up this week.
I have a question for you, did you do PGS testing on your recent embryos?

Coops0406 · 29/11/2021 16:59

@Reefy hi, how are you doing? Where are you up to now? Have you had a review?
Thank you, I was hoping we could do the cycle to take the biopsies from my womb this month but I think it will be january, but will wait to see what he suggests this Wednesday.
Yes we did it on the other 5 and only 2 euploid. Glad we did it as at least we won't have to go through transfers of 3 that definitely wouldn't work! And it makes me think that the last 2 that failed weren't euploid so I can rationalise things a bit better.

@pkp11 how are you? Have you pushed forward with FET?
