IVF September/October 2021 cycle

Hi

I am just starting a new thread in case anyone else is falling into the September/October timings...I have been in other threads which have been so so supportive and a bit of a godsend really, but I'm a bit behind where everyone is up to.

I had a failed cycle in June unfortunately and didn't respond as they expected. Then was supposed to start again in august but unfortunately they saw a cyst on one of my ovaries so have delayed the next cycle to September (I think my stims will fall into October as they'll put me on norithisterone).

Be great to chat to others who are about to start soon 😊

Just had my third stims scan. I have total of about 20 follicles, around 8 of them look to be the correct size but they said I’m ready so are going to take some bloods & if any change then they will call me this evening.
Last night I had to reduce my menopur as told by the clinic & they have said reduce again tonight. On the plus side just 1 attempt to get blood today not 8 like Monday 😂

@Coops0406 have an amazing in Paris, you both really deserve it!

@pkp11 how are you doing? Have you managed not to test early?
We are going on Friday, arrive in Paris at 9am so will have a full day once we arrive!! 😍

@Coops0406 enjoy Paris! I want to go this year, fingers crossed!. Yes I haven't taken am early test, I'm too scared it will be wrong and then I will work myself up. Feel so nervous tomorrow, so trying to meditate to keep calm and watch comedy stuff when I'm not working!

Well done for not testing early, I didn't both times actually the first time I did it a day after OTD! Good luck with the test 🤞🤞

@Reefy amazing! Good luck tonight and hope you're feel good. Have you got the day off on Friday to relax after?
Tbh it hadn't crossed my mind to test early!! No idea why I hadn't thought of it otherwise I would have done it this morning!

@pkp11 yes I feel fine. Oh yes im off till 8th March, I said I might work Tuesday if I feel ok but il see how I feel when I wake up. I want to give it the very best chance to implant so I'm taking a lot of rest this time. You've done well for not doing it, I say do it when you feel ready.

@Coops0406 did you make it to Paris with this storm?

So I had 12 eggs collected today so 1 less then last time. The doctor said there were a few smaller ones but they were behind where my endometriosis is so he didn't want to risk any injury or infection when he had a few anyway. So they said they are doing ICSI this time as the motility was a bit low compared to last time (other half not feeling that great today, didn't think he would make the clinic) not sure if that's made a difference as we have kept everything the same as last time. We wait for update tomorrow 🤞🤞

Just had my call & out of the 12
Collected 9 were mature & 5 have fertilised so they have booked me for a transfer on Wednesday afternoon 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@Reefy brilliant news! So happy for you! Hope you've got everything prepared for a nice relaxing few days!

Really sorry I haven't messaged, my test result was negative. I've still not had bleeding or cramping, but 2 negative tests so I feel a bit disheartened atm.

Wonderful news!! Do you get any updates or just find out on Wednesday afternoon?

@Coops0406 glad you had a good weekend. We had an update today & have 4 still going but they are of average quality, they will call again Wednesday morning so let's see. I said to my friend earlier I think this waiting is worse then TWW!

None to freeze again. The embryologist said I’m not going to lie the quality of them isn’t good. We have 2 left so they gonna transfer 2 this time

@Coops0406 I'm gutted as I just can't seem to produce good enough quality. The ones today are 1CC so I'm not holding my breath at all. Thank you 😊

@Coops0406 yes all good thank you, just a bit sore as my transfer didn't go to well. They couldn't get the catheter to my cervix & had to keep changing speculum & pressing the scanner on my bladder the whole time, it took about 20 mins to get it in so I wasn't even sure if they were gonna give up.
Are you having a FET in March?

@Reefy how are things? Are you still sore? When is OTD?

I'm having the biopsies this month so AF should be here this week then start my oestrogen tablets 3 times a day for 12 days, then progesterone then biopsies...not exactly sure timeframes really or how long it takes for results, then medication if needed! I'm really hoping for FET in May but I doubt it at this rate!

@Coops0406 the soreness has gone now thank god. OTD is Friday but I think I'm out as AF is due today & I've had some brown discharge this evening. I wasn't sure if you were going a FET or another EC. You never know it might be sooner!

@Reefy could it be from implantation or do you definitely think it's AF about to come? I hope you're doing okay, this journey is hard.
Enough egg collections for now, and hopefully won't have to do anymore. By the 3rd time I'm not sure I'd be looking forward to it again, especially as the last one gave me a lot of pain

@Coops0406 I'm not sure as j thought it would be too late by now. It was only a small amount but I've just gone straight to the worse which I know I shouldn't but I then find that I've no expectations no disappointment, I do feel like it's AF with a few cramps. Do you know this EC which was my 3rd was the best I've ever felt after one 😂. My parents said to me today it's the best I've looked in any cycle as last the one I looked ill 😂. I decided to make an Instagram page of my journey & found many people doing the same & feel the support on there is good as you know you aren't alone ❤️.

Weird, my first one was like that, an absolute breeze! But they progressively got worse!
