IVF September/October 2021 cycle

I am just starting a new thread in case anyone else is falling into the September/October timings...I have been in other threads which have been so so supportive and a bit of a godsend really, but I'm a bit behind where everyone is up to.

I had a failed cycle in June unfortunately and didn't respond as they expected. Then was supposed to start again in august but unfortunately they saw a cyst on one of my ovaries so have delayed the next cycle to September (I think my stims will fall into October as they'll put me on norithisterone).

@Reefy I actually have woken up feeling much better, I've almost forgotten about it! On the plus side, with only 2 being tested it costs less!
How annoying about your spa day...but now at least you get another one!!

@Coops0406 glad you are feeling better. Yes but we still enjoyed it & something else to look forward to later on too.

@pkp11 did you say you have a scan tomorrow? If so good luck.

I've just rang the clinic as I've noticed a lot of discharge and from reading the leaflets for these tablets it's an uncommon side effect 😞 typical that I would get it! They've suggested using the canneston cream and no tablets so I'm hoping that will help the irritation. I hope this doesn't cause any issues

@pkp11 hope you get it sorted soon. Good luck with the scan tomorrow.

@pkp11 how was your scan?

@Reefy scan was good thankyou! Everything looked great, so I have started cyclogest pessaries from this morning dn Wednesday start the lubion injections. Embryo transfer on Friday, but they will call me to confirm the time on Thursday I have booked Friday off work and a few days the following week just to take it easy as I didn't do that last time. Lining up films to watch and books to read in that time!

@pkp11 wow! It's all come around so quickly! Good that you've taken some time off to just relax and chill next week.

AF came for me over the weekend, it's so painful! Luckily I managed to use the hot tub Friday night and go for a nice walk Saturday morning, but since then I've been loaded up on paracetamol. I don't know if this is something to do with everything else or if it's because it's a withdrawal bleed but it feels like how I felt the other week after EC!

How are you @Reefy ? Nearly time for you too!!

@pkp11 that's brilliant news! Glad you've taken some time off after. I'm taking time after too as I've never done it either.

@Coops0406 oh poor you! Perhaps if it gets worse you contact your clinic to discuss with them?

@Reefy can't believe your scratch is this week, so excited for you! Hope all goes well. How long after would your transfer be?

So many videos online of others taking time off so why not.

@pkp11 I know you think it's always ages away & it always comes round quickly. Well I'm having a fresh cycle again so transfer will be end of February so tomorrow I can say this month 😂

@Reefy have they said to take paracetamol or anything before your scratch? My leaflet of info for the biopsies said to take paracetamol an hour before the appointment so it may help you too.

@pkp11 I think my womb and ovaries have had a lot action in the last nearly 2 years...probably just AF reminding me! Lol.

@Coops0406 yes they said to take some before so definitely will do! Feeling nervous now 😂.

@Coops0406 fair enough! After this I am amazed at science and the resilience of our bodies! Although currently I'm not enjoying the progesterone discharge and wish it would stay in :(

It wasn't too bad all all. The only bad thing is I have a cyst of 20mm on my right ovary which is normally the good one so can't start stims on Sunday & they have booked me an extra scan on Monday so check it out then if ok can stim from Monday night!

@Reefy glad the scratch went ok! How did it feel? Do you get to see how they did it? That's annoying about the cyst, do you need to take something to help it go?

I've taken my 1st progesterone injection this evening which was fine, other than its a bit red and raised and I'm feeling a bit swollen now! Tomorrow I get to know what time our ET is so nerves are slowly kicking in.

@pkp11 it felt similar to a transfer to start with then just like some pressure, had some cramps after which just felt like period pains but they said that I may get that. No they didn't say so just hope it goes again. Glad the injections was ok, sometimes it's the thought of it is worse. Ooo that's exciting!

@Reefy glad it went okay and not too much discomfort! I'm hoping the biopsies will be similar!
So are they hoping the cyst will reduce by Monday's scan? If not will they still start stims?

@pkp11 progesterone is the worst! My friend swears by taking them rectally, less messy! I still haven't but I imagine having to do it for 12 weeks I may sway!! Glad the injection was okay!

@Coops0406 how are you feeling now?
yes I'm guessing they are hoping it will collapse again like last time. Im not sure, I personally think they will cancel it if it's still there & as much as that will be upsetting I have to give it the very best chance & especially as I've been given this extra go.
Oh yes I have only ever done them rectally!

@Coops0406 I am tempted to try rectally but just can't for now. How are you doing? When do you hear back?

@Reefy everything crossed for you so you don't have to cancel. Is there anything you can do to help?

@pkp11 they never said. I've been putting a hot water bottle on my right side as I did read about heat can help 😂

@Reefy since Wednesday evening I have felt the best I have felt in months! I think since before ivf started last may! The bloating has massively reduced, I don't look 6 months pregnant and I feel like myself! I think all hormones are out! 🤣

Just had a great call today as well...we have one euploid out of the 2 tested! We are completely shocked and over the moon!

Meds arriving Monday in readiness for my next cycle!

@Reefy how are you doing after the scratch? I had my September cycle cancel due to a 3cm cyst and I remember being gutted but then having a better round the following month. But hopefully it will disappear 🤞🏾

@Coops0406 that's brilliant news. Are you doing a whole new cycle again? Or FET? Yeah absolutely fine from the scratch. AF showed up today so I called the clinic & they still said don't start meds till after scan on Monday so let's see! 🤞

@Reefy so pleased! So we are now waiting for next AF to start meds as if we are having FET, but instead of transfer they will do the biopsies. I think it will be beginning of March to start meds so middle of March for biopsies. Then after results and anything needs doing FET around May/June time I think it will be!

That's still fine as I think I started stims on about day 3, so hopefully scan is okay on Monday and you can start 🤞🏾

@Coops0406 it will be here before you know it! The last 2 cycles I've started on day 2 so see what they say. I'm feeling quite down at the moment, think it's just all the unknown. Im moody at the moment too & keep snapping! Hopefully it will all pass soon.

@Reefy sorry you feel like crap, it's all the hormones not helping with the waiting. Try to have a relaxing weekend and hopefully you can switch off from it all
