IVF July/August 2021

Hi everyone.

I couldn't find a thread for ivf cycles July/August 2021 so I hope it's OK to start one. I was on the March/April thread for my fresh cycle and it was so nice to have support from others going through the same thing.

My fresh cycle was successful but unfortunately I miscarried at 8 weeks pregnant. We are start a frozen cycle with one of our 2 frozen embryos. Aiming to start tablets around the 10th July with the hope of transfer towards the end of July.

Would love to know if anyone else is in the same boat or has any tips!

We are due OTD this Thursday. We really
Don’t think it has worked as we had a day 3 transfer of a 6 cell embryo and a 4 cell both slow grown for a day 3. And have accepted it won’t be good new for us this time

We have a family wedding on OTD for 3 days so we won’t test till Sunday as we don’t want it to ruin our mood even though we know it’s not looking good. 😞

@manny33 enjoy the family wedding and best of luck for Sunday... you never really know and I'm still hoping for good news for you!

I went in for my baseline scan today and there are no cysts and a thin lining so I'll start stims tonight. There are 9 follicles (last time there were 11 at baseline) which is average for me, so hoping they'll respond! I'm way behind all of you but so glad to have learnt from your journeys... please keep everything crossed :)

I think it's getting darker 🤞🏼 (pls ignore my obsessive 4pm testing time 😅)

@2021babyhope it does seem darker to me! I thought testing with FMU is the most accurate? I'm not much of a tester so don't take my word for it, but have you been trying morning ones as well as 4pm? :)

@beachbum85 I've been testing twice a day 😅 once you start you can't stop haha

I think if you hold for about 4 hours it's concentrated enough to use for a test - this mornings was lighter than that!

@2021babyhope that is darker! Arghhhhhhhh lol. You're a day behind me so it may be even darker in the morning x

Embryo update: one good blast survived so am doing ET today! I take back what I said about the change in protocol not working as we've finally got to the next stage in cycle 4 🥳
