IVF July/August 2021

Hi everyone.

I couldn't find a thread for ivf cycles July/August 2021 so I hope it's OK to start one. I was on the March/April thread for my fresh cycle and it was so nice to have support from others going through the same thing.

My fresh cycle was successful but unfortunately I miscarried at 8 weeks pregnant. We are start a frozen cycle with one of our 2 frozen embryos. Aiming to start tablets around the 10th July with the hope of transfer towards the end of July.

Would love to know if anyone else is in the same boat or has any tips!

I know I’m so sad, naturally, but it’s one of those things, obviously not our time just need to try and remain positive.

I’m glad your doing ok honestly I found the 2WW soooo hard and I really only done 8 days!! Not long now tho got everything crossed for you xxxxxx

@chocolate336 thanks so much for that information that has definitely made me feel a bit better! You jusy put all your hopes and prayers into that wee embryo don’t you! You just wish you could tell before hand if it wasn’t going to continue to grow.

Congrats on moving house though! I know that can be a super stressful time so your probs right taking some time away from all the fertility treatments and juts get settled in then start again in new year!!

@lauradxoxo oh you really do....I kept the scans of my little embryos by my beside...you form a little attachment! And then when the bad news comes it's really shattering! Good times are coming for us all! 🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️❤️

@lauradxoxo I'm so sorry it hasn't worked out for you! It's a horrible feeling and you just need to be super nice to yourself. You already know this but you did nothing wrong at all. Just think of all the women who smoke and drink and take drugs and get pregnant all the time. Of course we try to take care of ourselves but ultimately it's about the embryo and sometimes a few other things.

@chocolate336 actually not taken his advice tho! Have decided to do all the tests despite the delays. We're at the end of the road now so may as well just throw everything at it!

Hi @beachbum85 how are you feeling? Is your test day tomorrow?! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

You have to do a mock cycle with the ERA so that will start with my next period. I've been tracking ovulation and it's not happened yet (cd15) so my period is looking delayed anyway but should come in early October.

Thanks @Janefx40!! How sweet of you to remember - it is tomorrow and I'm really nervous, excited, everything... I've been pretty calm so far but now I'm kind of terrified that my bubble is going to burst!

I suppose a bit of a delay can be expected after back-to-back collections, but I hope all happens soon so you can start with the mock cycle :) xx

Oh @beachbum85 that's wonderful!!! I'm so pleased for you! How did it feel to see that second line for the first time? I remember so well when I got my BFP with DD. It was such a bizarre and amazing feeling xxx

This was our second cycle, we had a failed fresh transfer in March with no frosties, so we started from scratch again this time. I hope next time is your time too xx

Hey everyone! Hope all well! I just wanted to ask has anyone had thyroid issues? When I had my bloods done with my private clinic nothing came up. My NHS doctor was just doing a review with me and said my thyroid was 3.2....he wants them rechecked. Said he isn't concerned about it but maybe thought about starting me on thyroxine if I needed too. Now I'm worried....might be having an FET in nov/dec if I feel up to it but now I'm worried about my thyroid x
