Hi everyone.

I couldn't find a thread for ivf cycles July/August 2021 so I hope it's OK to start one. I was on the March/April thread for my fresh cycle and it was so nice to have support from others going through the same thing.

My fresh cycle was successful but unfortunately I miscarried at 8 weeks pregnant. We are start a frozen cycle with one of our 2 frozen embryos. Aiming to start tablets around the 10th July with the hope of transfer towards the end of July.

Would love to know if anyone else is in the same boat or has any tips!

I had my baseline scan today. Looking like we can proceed, so I'm starting my progesterone tablets tomorrow. Feeling quite real now.

I did my trigger shot last night at 9pm. I’ve woken up this morning and my bbt is really high. I’m really concerned I’ve ovulated already. Does anyone have any experience of this?

@XjustagirlX I did mine at 9:30 too 😊

I don't have any experience I'm afraid but I'm sure everything will be okay 🥰 this whole process is such a guessing game isn't it but trust in the process 🤞🏼

What time are you in for EC tomorrow?

Well as suspected its a BFN for me. I felt it deep down since the traumatic transfer but it doesn't make accepting it any easier. A 2nd unsuccessful round and this journey just feels so bloody unfair. I had a little cry last night doing my progesterone injection, probably knowing it would likely be my last. My stomach was so sore I had no where to inject where it wouldn't hurt and I bled a lot when I took the needle out. I don't know where I will find the strength for another round but I don't want to give up. Feeling so sad and overwhelmed wondering if we will ever be successful.

Good luck to everyone else still starting/mid way through their cycles. I'll be following the thread and keeping everything crossed for some BFPs xx

@Bethpalmer20 I'm so sorry.. it's totally unfair and you have every reason to feel sad :( take your time to take take of yourself and get through this disappointment, it's a lot to deal with... sending you a huge hug and lots of love xx

I'm afraid I don't measure BBT, so no experience there, but I've not heard of anyone ovulating right after the trigger. It's all timed precisely so, although it's hard, try not to worry xx

Got the call this morning out the 9 eggs only 3 fertilised. Was hoping for more but keeping positive. Have been told we’d have a 3 day transfer or 5 depending on the growth

Fingers crossed they all make it 🏃🤞🏻

@2021babyhope Im in theatre at 9am but I need to be there at 8am tomorrow. She said I will be leaving the clinic around 11:30am.
What time are you in 9:30am?

@Bethpalmer20 I'm so sorry! It's totally normal to feel sad I ended up not being able to work for a few days after my failed cycle. Like many have said take time for yourself!

Thanks so much @beachbum85 - this is our second try - first was a fresh transfer and resulted in a beautiful DD and now we have one frozen embryo (last chance for us) and hoping for a sibling. I feel guilty, like I've won the lottery once and now I'm buying another ticket. But my daughter is so desperate for a sibling...

@SerendipitySunshine that's amazing that your fresh transfer worked first time round! I hope this transfer will be equally successful! :) Nothing to feel guilty about, at all... You wouldn't feel guilty about trying again if you fell pregnant without assistance the first time... Here's hoping your positive streak continues 🤞🏼

@beachbum85 I transferred on Monday so yeah pretty early in the TWW. So far no symptoms but don't really expect any yet but still feeling chilled not sure if because it's early on or if I'll be chill till next Friday but we will see haha. How are you getting on?

@XjustagirlX same, they've asked me to get there for 8am too but I guess they're giving themselves enough time to get everything sorted.

I only had 6 follicles on my last scan so a bit nervous I won't get many eggs but trying to stay positive and hope for the best!

I'm well so far thanks, no side effects from the Buserelin and just waiting for baseline scan in a couple of weeks.

@Bethpalmer20 really sorry to hear that, thank you for setting up this thread and being so supportive of everyone while dealing with your own difficult journey.

I had my second monitoring scan which went better than the first. There were more than 20 follicles so egg collection on Friday. I am hoping for a decent number as the condition we are testing for with PGD is dominant so we will undoubtedly lose a lot of embryos at biopsy stage.

@Bethpalmer20 I'm so sorry. It's such a hard thing to go through. Sometimes I feel like doing IVF is like being repeatedly punched in the face - I keep getting up again and the punches keep on coming. We are bloody tough women but sometimes we just have to curl up and have a cry. Sending you lots of love x
