anyway my app says af in 4 days I'm so emotional today! Over thinking even thinking is it right for my and partner to go forward together! I know I could test but I'm just not mentally prepared too 😢

@s154 I'm in the same position as you! Ttc with pcos first cycle of clomid I'm on day 15! Be good to share a journey a few days appart are you doing opk? Xx

@J90A hello I had a scan on day 9 to check my response which showed one good? follicle and then I have a blood prog test on day 21. If I don't ovulate then I will go up to 100mg although consultant said chances are about 10% per cycle so I am trying not to get my hopes up!

No to opk's as my consultant suggested clomid and PCOS makes opk's unreliable but just intercourse every other day. He also recommended insotol? So I am giving that a go

@Luna1108 I tested again today still the same! On opk. How you feeling? We are also at a similar cycle !!

I've the glow app which has an analyser and it's close to positive. Not sure how accurate that is mind you!

@s154 yes I am the same they never work for me so this month will be a test. I'm taking insitol aswell!

I'm only getting urine samples which is annoying as I willing find out for a while if I ov. Xx

Hey all old and new :) I am alright, on CD9. I think I will start opks tomorrow… but like I said before I never got a positive one when I got pregnant first time round on Clomid, so not sure how helpful they are really

@adarkhorse that's good to know im getting a bit obsessed with them as I've never been able to use them properly before. Into sure how accurate they are either tbh.

@J90A I find these opks so confusing that's why never really use! I'm cd17 today and been on nights so last time dtd was cd14 always happens to me around ovulation haha but we dtd form dx 7-14 so fingers crossed!!

@J90A I have tried the strips ones but they are hard to interpret so I use clear blue but they are so expensive! I am feeling quite unwell tonight with stomach pain so maybe it is a good sign xx

@J90A for reference this a prooooper positive. Mine are approx CD12/13/14 and are gone again by a couple of days. I get 1 (maybe day and a half) of those fully dark ones.

But I know OPKs can be a nightmare for PCOS. Must be very frustrating! Do you temp?? I use natural cycles app.

I’m feeling up and down to be honest. Got a baby shower next Saturday and that’ll be testing day so I’ll either be ecstatic and enjoy the shower or inconsolable and the shower will be hell. What a rollercoaster ey!

@Luna1108 thanks!! That is a clear positive. I think mine is I'm going to try again later. Oh no maybe you should wait till after the shower to test? If you can wait that long? Xxx

I hope you get a positive soon. It definitely looked like it was on its way for sure. Does the app you use help confirm ovulation?? I wish I could do CD21 bloods to confirm but because I’m taking progesterone I can’t, well annoying.

I'm showing negative now god knows. I'll find out in a month when I get my urine Sample results. Feels like forever lol.

Hope the next OPK is your positive! They are such a faff aren’t they - sometimes they make you really obsess over the line colour and it’s such a nightmare.

Bit of a vent as I know you will get it. I Was at a wedding yesterday that I’d been looking forward to for weeks for a close friend. At the reception my sister in law who has a 1 yr old rang to say she was expecting. I had been silently dreading that happening for months as I knew I would be upset and jealous and I hate that this makes me feel that way when I want to be happy for her. I tried so hard not to cry but my husband was annoyed I wasn’t happy for her (I am but wasn’t able to process it without being upset for me first if that makes sense) which made me cry just before the group photos. I then got very drunk and cried a lot. I feel so embarrassed about the whole thing today and still really upset. I’ve got to pick my daughter up later today from my mother in law who will just want to talk about her daughters pregnancy and I can’t really tell her how I feel about it as whilst she knows what we’ve been going through, she is a very traditional mother in law and her daughter will always be top priority over her sons (and certainly over daughter in laws!). It will also spark my 4 year old into asking why she hasn’t got a sibling again which breaks my heart. Oh and then this evening I’ve got my first clomid scan which I’m worrying about. I’m really really struggling with this so much, it just makes me want to go to sleep for a long long time and not deal with it. Why is this so unrelentlessly awful to live with. I hate that nothing I can do will make me feel better. So I’ve settled for binge watching telly in bed and a bit of a cry this morning then I’ll dust myself down in a couple of hours and pretend that everything is ok until I believe that it is.

@ItsAlice aw I'm so sorry Alice. It's hard for men to understand I think if it's not a problem on there side. Don't feel embarrassed I think your feelings are completely valid! It's not easy my sister in law is pregnant they have been together less time than us and she's older so I just thought she may also need help. I wanted her to get pregnant but when she did I couldn't help but feel jealous I still do. Was worse when I seen the scan picture. Try to hide it but it's not easy is it!! We all know what your going through. Have a good cry let it out and chill look after yourself some self care xx

So update on me I have started 5th cycle… felt kinda crap as went to different pharmacy and pharmacist comes out and goes here you go now this always works within first three months 🙈 I couldn’t even say I’m sorry this is my 5th cycle… I’m still on 50mg so wanted doc to up it as it’s now fifth time. I finished tablets last night day 6 and I have my HSG test tomorrow? Has anyone been for that? What’s it like? Did you have to fast or anything? I’m kinda hoping it will give answers to unexplained infertility.

@Shelleybe I have had the hsg to check my tubes were clear. It's totally fine!

My friend had unexplained fertility and got pregnant after she had it.

They push fluid through so it can clear and debris and they say it also can increase fertility for up a few months after. Xx

@ItsAlice I’m so sorry you feel this way. We all know what that’s like and it’s truly brutal and unfair. I have so many pregnant friends and relatives and it feels never ending. Like why isn’t it my turn? We’re all here for you as best we can be. I hope your scan went ok.

@Shelleybe I’m CD20 today so about 7dpo I think! I want test Saturday but not sure if I should wait til Sunday to be absolutely sure on the day. Can’t believe the pharmacist said that, how insensitive!!!

I’ve had a hycosy which is similar to HSG. It’s just quite uncomfortable but make sure you take some paracetamol before.

@Luna1108 it is so hard as you want to test but then I have decided no more testing early. My last two goes of Clomid… did you fast before the test and how soon did you get results

@Shelleybe I didn’t have to fast, just was advised to take paracetamol about 30-45 mins beforehand. Got results during the test because they can see straight away if your tubes are open. I just asked during the actual exam.

I’m a bit weird about testing because I’m devastated to see the bfn but then when af arrived it’s not as painful. Suppose depends on which is more upsetting!

@J90A that’s hard, I totally feel your pain on that one, it’s so hard to keep pretending it is all ok!

@Luna1108 know what you mean about the testing! I’m not sure what’s worse, a blank test or AF turning up. I tend to test 2 days before I’m due on, as I like to at least have the experience of taking a test but it means I’m not waiting for days and days for my period to arrive!

Thanks for your lovely comments, it’s so nice not to be alone in this. My mother in law said all the wrong things when I saw her earlier (including telling my daughter that her aunt was pregnant by saying her cousin was having a brother or sister and that if she was a very good girl one day she would get a sibling - that boiled my blood a bit!!!)

Just had my first follicle tracking scan, don’t really understand it. They couldn’t see my right ovary or it has nothing on it. Two good follicles on my left but I’ve got no tube that side so Sod’s law!!!! I’m on cycle day 8 and had an 18x12mm follicle and a 12x7mm follicle with a lining of 5.8mm - anyone know if that looks ok or not?

@ItsAlice something I didn’t know before that I have learnt through this journey that absolutely blew my mind is that your tubes can migrate to pick up eggs from the opposite side. Seems insane to me but it’s true!!

Those follicle sizes and lining measurements seem pretty good. Did they say anything about it at your scan?

Thanks @Luna1108! Yeah that’s what my gynae said but obviously it is preferable to ovulate from the complete side as it were! I’m a lot more optimistic than I was, it’s just a numbers game and I’m just glad that the other details are looking ok! I’m paying privately to see a gynae to do the clomid and tracking (the same chap as did my laparoscopy on DHs bupa) but it was his colleague who scanned me so it was like a second opinion which is good. She did say one tube can pick up from either side too so we shall have to see! Got another scan Wednesday 🤞.

What date in the cycle do people test on?? I'm so impatient lol.

We are considering getting a puppy this weekend!
