Clomid journey thread 2!

So I thought I would start a new thread as we reached 1k comments so can't post!!! @chloedancer897 @Luna1108 sorry will try tag others !
anyway my app says af in 4 days I'm so emotional today! Over thinking even thinking is it right for my and partner to go forward together! I know I could test but I'm just not mentally prepared too 😢

@beth1311 what are your issues? Mine is pcos so it's common for me to get irregular periods like that. Have you been on clomid for this cycle? Xx

PCOS on my left side only.
I usually have cycles varying from 32-36 ish days, bleed for 2 and then it's finished.

I've never had a cycle like this before. If it was just the late period, I wouldn't even question it. But the symptoms that have come with it make me feel like I'm pregnant.

I don't know, maybe I'm hoping for a miracle.

@beth1311 that's strange what's your symptoms? What are they planning to do? Xx

@J90A Nausea, I feel absolutely exhausted, my gums are bleeding, I've gone off foods, excessive wind, crazy dreams, my boobs are sore and much more veiny, pretty much all the common symptoms you can think of!

The receptionist gave me my blood results, I presume I'll have to ring the doctor next week to see what's going on. I know they can give things to bring on your period, but do I wait it out?

@beth1311 My 3rd cycle of clomid I had a long cycle but I hadn't ovulated so I was given provera to induce a period.

@J90A I haven't had any clomid yet, we were waiting for this cycle to try naturally then going into it, but I'm stuck on CD70 lol

Is it possible I'm pregnant, or am I going mad? 😂

@beth1311 ah I see! I've really no idea sorry. I would think it would've shown up by now but it depends when you ovulated if it was late? Sorry I can't help! I understand how frustrating it is I just had a similar thing! Xx

@J90A it really is frustrating. It's putting everything on hold and I'm not the most patient of people haha x

@beth1311 that does sound like a nightmare! I've had similar a few times having 44-66 day cycles with all the pregnancy symptoms but never been pg unfortunately, I have read stories of people that have had negatives for a long time though but never blood tests after the first couple of weeks.

Do you know when you ovulated?

So I Duno why I done this but this was the result ? I'm on progesterone just now to induce a period would that be affecting the results? Xx

@J90A Urm... I've not heard of progesterone causing a positive on HCG stick... best call the clinic tomorrow and ask for a blood test??!!

@Marvellouslymadmum have you started your Clomid now? Any symptoms?

I had my scan today on CD14 and they found the following:

Left ovary: nothing
Right ovary: 1 x 27mm follicle

Obviously I'll be very happy if I ovulate from 1 x follicle, but the nurse said it was so big that it was either about to release an egg or it might be a cyst. I will find out when I get my progesterone tested next Monday if I ovulated on not 🤞

We DTD on Saturday evening, then again this afternoon (as soon as I got home from my appointment 😆) and will try again tonight or tomorrow morning.

Last month I was super excited and did everything to boost my chances: lube, pomegranate juice,pinapple core etc etc... but I think I'm going to be more relaxed this time.

@Kay00 that's good news on the follicle! The only other thing I can think of is the injection I got. But I'm sure if it was gona affect hcg I would hope they would've told me that.

I feel totally numb not even excited it's like my body won't let me feel anything. they said I hadn't ovulated. But maybe they tested progesterone too early? I'm never gona be able to sleep tonight 🤦‍♀️. Xx

So it's a false positive, you would think someone would've told me the injection would affect a test. Xx

@Kay00 every month just gets worse ! I'm ready to give up.I really want time off work but after this week I only have 2 weeks until annual leave so trying to get through to there. X

@j90A I really feel for you. Its the hope that really gets to me, and a positive test would have filled me with hope. xx please take care of yourself xx

@Kay00 thank you. I know even though I was suspicious about the result. You still go through all the hope. Especially since I thought they surely would have told me that when giving the injection.

I'm literally waking up and this is the first thing on my mind and I work as a secretary for high risk pregnancies. It's taking over my life 🤦‍♀️. 2 and a half weeks until I'm on annual leave. I really want to take a week off now but I've been off twice with Covid then a viral infection so I'm worried about what work would say if I took more time off 🤦‍♀️ xxx

@J90A oh that must be so frustrating for you 😞 did they give you a trigger shot? I know they can effect results as ivf patients are told to wait a certain amount of time after the trigger before they test but they definitely should've told you that!

@Kay00 yes, I started cd2 and took my last tablet this morning, no real symptoms to report other than a slight pain for a couple of mins yesterday and today in my right ovary 🤷🏼‍♀️
I've. A feeling I may get nothing in my left too! 🤞🏻 everything crossed you ovulate ok!

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah they must have but it wasn't to release an egg it was to stop the cyst producing hormones so I didn't realise.

I'm starting cycle 5 today going up to 100mg. Been signed off work for 2 weeks as I've been having panic attacks. I had to come off my usual meds to do the fertility. If someone told me it was gona be like this at the beginning I don't think I would have started!

Anyway onwards and upwards. I'm going to try taking clomid at night does anyone else do this?

@J90A I don't think anyone is really prepared for this kind of journey!
I took my clomid day this time but I've heard a lot if people take it at night instead.

I had my scan today and they couldn't fine my ovaries, again! That's what happened in my last scan too 😑 eventually found the right one just about and could make out one follicle but she said there could be more and there could be some on the left but she couldn't see 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Marvellouslymadmum oh that's strange! Are you getting an ultrasound scan like you would a baby scan? I can't think of the name or an internal ultrasound?

I've been getting internals. I had mine today on CD3 with AF! was absolutely dreading it but wasn't too bad. The cyst is still there but my bloods were ok so I can do another cycle. Xx

@J90A I had both 😂 they started with an ultrasound to see if they could see from there but no luck at all so switched to dildo-cam and still couldn't find them 🤷🏼‍♀️
This is my one and only scan too so I'm clueless as to if it's working or not.

Hahah yeah! I'm on holiday when I should be ov so I'm hoping it takes some of the pressure off! Xx
