I’m 99% AF is going to show either today or tomorrow, I’ve been having the exact period pains and other symptoms that I get right before my period is due 😔 so think I’m going to be robbed of testing again in Tuesday 😭

Thank you @LKSF but 99.999% isn't it. Most clinics say test on this day, mine does the full 14 days but in actual fact that's 19days post what would be ovulation. A 5day embryo wouldn't be so late implanting that it wouldn't show now. If you really want to test then test, but they should have adjusted the drugs for you to not bleed surely?

Just writing to be a cautionary tale ...

I had such ‘obvious’ period symptoms (plus a strange burning sensation which they now think might be a UTI?) that I swore I was giving up on the meds. I got given a pretty strong telling off and stuck on them ....

I got a very smug ‘ told you so’ when i rang the clinic to tell them my BFP news. (Tested positive on the Saturday after Saturday transfer- never know if that’s 7 or 8 days post transfer!)

So yeah- symptoms may not mean anything.

Hmm yeah I guess, never really looked at it like that! Oh I’m so sorry and I’m still holding on for that little bit of hope for you.
Well I’m on the same medication as last time when AF showed at 8dpt so I feel abit upset that they’ve just treated me as a number and not an individual, they completely shrugged it off last time that Period came, they said it shouldn’t of happened and that was it! I should of investigated more but it’s just so overwhelming you just go with it.

@WeavingWandering thank you so much that is reassuring and does give me a bit of hope, however I ALWAYS have diarreah(sorry tmi) the day before AF arrives and I’ve had it this morning so it just feels like a bit of a coincidence 😩

@LKSF it might be that they can't up the meds, I only thought. I had that random 2.5day bleed, so like an AF 2 weeks before my transfer & my clinic had no answer for that my bloods were fine so sometimes there's also no answer! Stay positive, as @WeavingWandering says, sometimes period pains can be good.

@WeavingWandering I told you so! I won't stop my meds til OTD anyway & spoken time my clinic but yeah a BFP would show by now. You should be able to get 2/3 weeks on a clear blue digital now or even 3 weeks maybe.

@Minster2012 I’m so sorry 😔 you’ve been so supportive to everyone else on here I was really rooting for you. I hope you can have a relaxing weekend and let this crap news sink in. What is the next step for you, do you have anymore in the freezer? xx

So so sorry to hear your news. Be angry. Be sad. Be loud. Be quiet. Be however you need to be today. When I’ve had BFN in the past I find telling everyone and anyone my way of dealing with it.

@WeavingWandering congrats! And great advice for everyone with AF symptoms that is struggling.
@LKSF if you havent had any bleeding or AF nothing is lost so keep going and stay positive. If you want to test i also think that it will be indicative of a true result around 10 to 11 dpt.
@Minster2012 I am so so sorry for the negative test. I was hoping for some good news. Sending a huge hug your way sweetie. I hope you are doing ok.

I havent tested yet as i had a very difficult day yesterday and havent slept a bit last night. I hope i will find the strength soon. Bleeding/ spotting comes and goes and its mainly there in the morning its not full bleed and not on my liner apart from yesterday.

@Minster2012 I’m so sorry. It’s really crap and a horrible feeling just urging another line or different result on the test. I was really hoping your result would be different x

@poupou sorry you had a rubbish day. When do you think you will test? It could absolutely be good news which would at least relax you and cheer you up. At this point when you’re already feeling so down would a negative make that any worse? I really hope you get a positive and start feeling good again. Fingers crossed whatever you decide.

@LKSF that’s so tough having been through what you have. I had said the same a few days ago about the clinics lacking empathy and just treating us as another number on their books. They seem to get us to transfer stage and then feel they’ve did their part and don’t want to offer much guidance or support thereafter. Not a peep from my clinic from I notified them of my negative result on Tuesday.

@AutumnHoping thank you!!! I know what you mean bur again a lot of other negative possibilities arise even if its positive (ectopic, chemical). I know i am stressing about a lot and in advance but as a trained medic the bleeding doesnt suggest a great outcome. However, i am still hoping for a miracle. I need to prepare myself before i test so i hope until Tuesday the latest as i am tired with all of this. I am also very upset with the clinic as different people
Say different things (increase dose no dont its nothing it might be something)! I feel like i am treating myself through out this process and requesting tests and insisting about things. I am sorry about your clinic! They should have contact you for a follow up at least!

Thank you @poupou No bleeding yet, I think I’m just so convinced because AF arrived 8dpt last time and I’m 8dpt today....maybe all these symptoms are in my head 🤯😭 I’m going to wait until OTD to test which is Tuesday, I’m too scared to do one today 🙈

@AutumnHoping Really, that’s awful that they haven’t even just replied saying sorry for the outcome! I know they get positive and negative results soooo many times a day but you’d think in that line of work they’d be a bit more compassionate. My clinic do offer a counciling session...do yours? Xx

@LKSF they do yea but I don’t want it. I’m annoyed it hasn’t worked out (obviously) but I understand it’s basically a game of chance. I’m just annoyed that the clinic are a bit rubbish and so hands of.

@JandL2020 what day is your scan? I dont feel like I have any symptoms either so I am still doing pregnancy tests 🤪 they make me feel calm for all of half a day and then I just need to see 'I am still pregnant today'

@UnicornPuff mine is Wednesday as well. Best of luck. I’ve not taken anymore tests. I’ve been quite tired today and been asleep for 2 hours but feeling a bit rubbish after a curry last night xx

@UnicornPuff I am still doing tests too!! Like you I still have no symptoms so I’m testing but doing the weeks one which I’m now 3+ but my scans not until the 22nd I feel like I have the longest wait!! 4 weeks since test date. Is that the same for everyone else??

@UnicornPuff would it not be too late though? my thinking would be if AF is on its way it hasn’t worked so upping my progesterone would maybe delay AF but wouldn’t change the result. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@LKSF it won't change if it has implanted or not. Some people have said their clinic recommend increasing the dose with spotting so I would speak to your clinic and see what they say. If you have to do another round you could also see if they would test your progesterone levels prior to transfer as some clinics do and potentially increase your dose as your AF shouldn't really arrive until you stop progesterone.

@Alexm06 I haven't got any of the digital ones I have stuck to cheap strips as I am testing so much! Yeah I will be 8 weeks exactly so just under 4 weeks since test day. It is a painfully long wait!

@JandL2020 I think try and get the naps while you can. Its normal to be tired in the first trimester and as your bump starts to grow apparently sleep gets harder!
