Had a quick look through but can't find an existing thread. Anyone due to cycle in August after a bit of moral support?

We are due to start our 2nd cycle of icsi for male azoospermia and my premature ovarian aging (full house for us!)

Both your line progressions look great Grin good luck for blood tests.

I've got a really dull ache today, almost like period cramps. I'm trying not to read into it too much but we all know how that goes! Half of me is petrified AF is going to show up, and half of me is happy that the cramps could be implantation. God its a mind f**k isn't it!!

That is looking excellent @kikisparks ! Those First Response tests are supposed to be great, but I can't get them in South Africa for some reason. Excited for you!

Lepatz · 27/08/2020 09:16

Morning folks, hope everyone's keeping well today.

Both the progression shots look good! Also now I know I need to get my sharpie out for Monday ;)

I'm Scottish, live in London. I have two clinics! Actually 3 if I count the andrology. One is the main one who sets the protocols etc, the other is for weekend tests and the collection/transfer. They are both excellent- however it does mean I see a lot of different people so it's harder to keep track of them all to say thanks!

I woke up so thirsty in the night, and had to go to the loo 4 times!! I know it can be a side effect of the cyclogest, but can't help also having teeny bits of hope. Then I crash into a pit of despair and am convinced it's all just constipation and it's never going to happen for me. Waaah!

Mseddy · 27/08/2020 09:33

@Lepatz I'm right there with you with the emotional rollercoaster! I'm trying to be really positive but then I have these moments where it all comes crashing down and I feel crappy!! My cramps have changed to twinges now so im reading into every little feeling and I know it's not helping at all but I can't help it!! I wish I could just fast forward a week or 2 and not have to have the tww! I'm glad I'm off work as I would be so distracted!

@loulamay and @kikisparks those progressions lines look great!!!

@CardboardCat congratulations on joining the tww club, 4 Frosties is brilliant

@Mseddy and @Lepatz you’re so good not tearing. How many dot are you now? I can’t hold my own water and I’m always gagging to test from like 3dpt 😂 I’ve promised my husband I’ll wait till at least 6dp5dt this time 🙈

Elly1685 · 27/08/2020 11:27

Hi all,

Can I join? I had a transfer two weeks ago and OTD was Sunday 23rd and I got BFP 1-2 weeks on digital. I also did line tests because, let’s face it, IVF drives us all insane! I did a clear blue yesterday and it still said 1-2weeks when I’m 14dp5dt. The photo shows the test from Saturday, Sunday and today. There is progression but I’m so worried that I haven’t had my super dark line and clear blue still says 1-2 weeks. I had this two years ago and it was ectopic. Scan is booked for 15th sept but I’m driving myself insane Sad
Can anyone give me words of wisdom? Xx

Mseddy · 27/08/2020 12:27

@MrsT36 well I technically have tested, but only becuase my test yesterday for testing out the trigger was a squinter and I wanted a clear negative. I wasn't testing as in early testing, but I can't rule out doing another tomorrow Shock haha. I'm only 3dp5dt so really too early to be hoping for a bfp. My FRER haven't arrived yet, but hoping they will be here by Sunday and I'll test then at 6dp5dt and every other day until OTD.

Hi @elly1685 I'm sorry I can't be much use as I've never had a BFP so I don't know how many weeks a digital should be showing by now. Your lines look darker in them pictures though. Maybe try taking a FRER as they are more sensitive and you might see better progression. Fingers crossed for you. If you are having any pain and are concerned that you may be having another ectopic then I would go to A&E

Hi @Elly1685 - welcome to the mad house.

I've heard very mixed reports about the Clearblue dye tests! I think the ones with pink dye are supposed to be more reliable. Could you try another brand. I assume you're testing with urine first thing in the morning?

Does your clinic do beta blood tests? That would be one way to put your mind at rest.

I'm sorry - it's such a trying time!

loulamay · 27/08/2020 14:27

Beta up to 602! Finally doubling. I was worried that it was still a bit of a low number but apparently it's more about it rising and doubling, so my Dr says we are 'still on track' and wants to see me for a scan in a couple of weeks.

Jesus. What a time.

Elly1685 · 27/08/2020 15:49

Thanks @loulamay and @Mseddy.

From what I’ve read a clear blue digital should be showing 2-3 weeks by now. Which is why I’m freaking out about low rising hcg. I’m testing with fmu each time and it is getting darker but when you google 14dp5dt positive test images then other peoples lines are much darker at this point (yes I know, dangerous googling alert!!) loula, I can see your beta is 602, how many days post transfer are you? X

Elly1685 · 27/08/2020 15:49

And no sadly my clinic doesn’t do blood tests! Nightmare.

loulamay · 27/08/2020 16:07

Only 14dp5dt! So not super high. I haven't done a digital one, but I posted a line progression earlier today. Have you done a fresh or frozen transfer? I read that frozen sometimes take longer to implant and show up on hcg tests.

West2401 · 27/08/2020 18:14

@loulamay brilliant news! I love the little test progression shots 🤣

My clinic have equal success with fresh and frozen transfers so fingers crossed we get some good eggs 🤞🏻 got a lorazepam tablet to take tonight before bed and one for tomorrow morning, been told DH can't come in for the procedure but is allowed to wait in recovery for me 🙂 my stomach is doing somersaults!

Elly1685 · 27/08/2020 18:32

@loulamay I think you’d definitely get a bfp on a digital with your results. Good luck to you! It looks really promising. It was a fresh transfer, I’m 15dp5dt today so should really be getting nice strong lines. Wish I was getting such dark lines. I can sadly see where this is heading, I hope I’m wrong. 15th September seems so far away!

loulamay · 27/08/2020 19:00

@West2401 - we'll be thinking of you!!! Let us know how you get on.

I only noticed afterwards that progression picture had the added bonus of my dog's head in it hahaha Smile

kikisparks · 27/08/2020 19:19

@Elly1685 so sorry I don’t know either. Have you always used FMU?

Since you’ve had an ectopic before Flowers could you ask your clinic to do a blood test even if they wouldn’t normally? Or maybe your GP?

@loulamay great news on your beta!

@West2401 good luck for tomorrow!

Elly1685 · 27/08/2020 19:25

Thanks @kikisparks, yes it’s always been fmu. My consultant is ringing tomorrow as he’s recommending I go on blood thinners for the remainder of the pregnancy. I’m going to tell him that my lines are faint and hope they offer bloods. My clinic completely refuse to do it but I guess i could ask my GP! Thanks for your help xx

CardboardCat · 27/08/2020 20:10

Hey everyone

@Elly1685 I can only share my experience, I had a "naturally"* conceived pregnancy at the beginning of the year. The lines were fairly dark on first response tests but never got as dark as the control line. My clear blue weeks indicator was on 1-2 weeks, moved to 2-3 weeks and then back to 1-2 weeks. I'm really sorry to say it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. The other side of it though, in all my googling and speaking to my clinic afterwards. The weeks indicators on clearblue tests are absolutely notoriously inaccurate and many professionals believe they should not be sold (due to the stress that they can cause). HCG ranges of normal, healthy pregnancies vary enormously so trying to date people on one scale isn't really doable. They aren't on sale in many countries for this reason. Sorry there is no clarity there, I don't want to give false hope. I'm just sorry you're going through it and hope you are ok. xx

*I'm not really a fan of saying conceived naturally as I know some people feel it paints IVF as unnatural which doesn't have very nice connotations for many. I just couldn't think of how else to put it just now!

CardboardCat · 27/08/2020 20:27

Sorry @Elly1685 I just saw your message before. Really glad you'll get to speak to your Consultant tomorrow. Sending hugs, I really hope you get some good news soon Flowers

Elly1685 · 27/08/2020 20:39

Thanks @CardboardCat. It’s the wait that’s just a nightmare. I hope you’re right about the clear blue week indicator and that’s why it’s not changing for me. Hopefully I’ll get answers tomorrow and if not, roll on sept 15th! I just pray it’s not an ectopic. I don’t know how I’ll get through that again! X

Custardandcream · 27/08/2020 21:20

@CardboardCat great news about your transfer and your frozen embryos!

@West2401 good luck for tomorrow

@loulamay @kikisparks those look like great progressions!

@Elly1685 really hope you get a blood test sorted, fingers crossed for you

My FET is tomorrow hopefully, it’s not until 4 so I’m going to be stressed most of the day wondering if the embryo will make it! Anyone any idea how long the defrost process takes?

Good luck for tomorrow
I think they thaw quite quickly from memory - few hours xx

CardboardCat · 27/08/2020 22:05

@Custardandcream Thank you and good luck tomorrow! I'll be thinking of you and your little thawing embryo.

loulamay · 28/08/2020 07:06

Good luck @Custardandcream! I think the process is pretty quick. Maybe less than an hour. I guess they're so tiny!

Elly1685 · 28/08/2020 07:30

Thanks @Custardandcream good luck with your transfer. I think the thawing process doesn’t actually take that long. I remember the embryologist saying to me it’s about an hour to thaw so they can see if it’s survived then they give it a bit more time to warm up before transfer. I’ll cross everything for you x
