Had a quick look through but can't find an existing thread. Anyone due to cycle in August after a bit of moral support?

We are due to start our 2nd cycle of icsi for male azoospermia and my premature ovarian aging (full house for us!)

@CardboardCat Congrats on the embaby haul, and fingers crossed for the 3 day update today! Re the bladder thing - I was so 'full' that after an initial ultrasound they had to send me out with a measuring jug to reduce by 350 ml ;D. I drink so much water usually, that I think trying to fill up just pushed me over the edge. Luckily the nurse found it funny though. I could hardly stand!!

@West2401 thinking of you today - hope it goes well, we're all here rooting for you x

@Mseddy YAY for the emby success!! That is AWESOME! You must be so relieved and happy. Good luck for your transfer today!

@Jacky83 I haven't dared even research what I could and couldn't have yet! I was thinking about it last night though. And dropped to one cup of coffee today! PUPO after all :D

@Bruce2 Wow 7 week scan sounds so advanced!! IVF timings are quite surprising. Wishing you a peaceful couple of weeks without any drama xx

@kikisparks Ouch! Raw cervix sounds painful!! Thanks for the grading info. Reassuring :) For some reason I always lose my way when talking to medical people in this process - say no questions, even when I have loads!! Really wish OH could have been there with me to do that stuff!! Have you resisted POAS?? I think I'd feel nervous about stopping meds too. Though I assume they wouldn't do it if there was a risk...

@loulamay Yikes indeed!! That could be a bit of a surprise!!! esp with a double transfer too

Can't believe I'm in the 2WW now... what is it... 1DP5DT?! Or is it 6DT with the 6 emby grade :). Nurgh, am already registering every twinge against my own better judgement!! Heading to visit my family in Scotland for a week of relaxation and pampering to take my mind off it :)

Sorry if I missed anyone, had a bit to catch up on, and my brain is a bit mushy - hope everyone had a good and relaxing weekend, and that all of the various waits aren't too slow xx

nextweek · 24/08/2020 12:11

ugh this tww is awful, I'm only 2 days in and struggling already haha! Feeling super paranoid, have a bit of dull ache in my belly (like what I get before AF arrives) so of course I'm driving myself mad thinking that it's a sign that it hasn't worked and constantly checking for spotting every time I go to the bathroom!

West2401 · 24/08/2020 12:22

Jut got back from my scan. Progress but still not enough...they’ve bumped my ovaleap from 225 to 450 (I started on 125!) for the next 2 days then back for a scan on weds. Hopefully will have progressed enough by then for things to move ahead with collection 🤞🏻 xxx

loulamay · 24/08/2020 12:23

@Lepatz - I wondered that about 6dp!

@Mseddy - good luck with your transfer!

@nextweek - welcome to 'knicker-watch'! My Dr did say that with the progesterone you are unlikely to bleed so this time round I was checking less, which helped. If you do get spotting it might be implantation bleeding which is good!

nextweek · 24/08/2020 12:33

@loulamay that's a good point about the progesterone, I hadn't thought of that, o can stop checking then! I just wish thid achey feeling would go away!

@West2401 hopefully that will do the trick and you'll see progress on Wednesday

Mseddy · 24/08/2020 13:18

@West2401 progress is good! Fingers crossed them last few days on the higher dose will really help and egg collection is in the near future.

I'm currently sat in the waiting room for my transfer without DH (its weird that he's sat in the car outside whilst I go get pregnant) and they have some sore of lockdown baby special on and it's killing me!! Of all the places you think you are safe!

Just had my beta results back and I'm only at 174, so it's not quite doubled. Dr wants me to do another blood test on Thursday.

Just had a good cry on OH's shoulder. This whole thing is so hard. It feels like, with most things in life, if you just try harder at something then you get a better result. But I can't try harder to get pregnant. We've done everything right and it still might not work. So angry and upset at the universe right now.

Mseddy · 24/08/2020 14:46

@loulamay sending hugs. Sorry your result isn't what you where hoping. Fingers crossed for a good rise next bloods

Fingers crossed for Thursday! I hope it all works out. Everything just seems so difficult with IVF Right from the get go. Every milestone brings up a new challenge. Sending big hugs
MsNoons17 · 24/08/2020 15:22

Fingers crossed for you for the next few days @loulamay. It’s such a head wreck.

StayingPositive8 · 24/08/2020 15:43

@loulamay Sorry the results today haven't been as high as you wanted. The beta results, like the rest of this process, is f*cking torture! We just always just seem to be waiting fo the next bit of possible good or bad news. But the levels might double by Thursday, a friend of mine just had a slower level rise that worked out in the end. Sending hugs

CardboardCat · 24/08/2020 16:23

@loulamay hugs to you hun, really sorry they aren't as clear cut as you hoped. This whole process is so hard. Glad your OH's shoulder is there. xx

I've officially lost my chill today. I'm meant to have a day 3 update but heard nothing yet. I'm now at work so OH called them to see if they had forgotten us and was told that they'll put a note on the system for the nurse to call us back. I've been fine until the last hour and now I'm panicking, will give it until 5 and then I'm going to call myself. The call was meant to be giving me my potential transfer appointment if it looks like there will be something to transfer.

I could imagine my clinic is going to be like that as well! 🤦‍♀️I think they forget how much money we are paying, not to mention the emotional side of things 😭 Hope you have some news today xx
Mseddy · 24/08/2020 17:32

@CardboardCat oh no. Any news? We didn't get a day 3 as our clinic don't do that, but I think it made it sooo much harder waiting for our day 5 update this morning. Fingers crossed you got your update and it's good news

Had the call at about 16.45 and they were lovely. Apparently they do day 3 calls near the end of the day so they've got the most accurate picture of what's going on. All good... just maybe tell people that before hand!

Still processing the news a bit. Of seven fertilised, four are still dividing but they are of mixed quality. Only one is top quality, one is good and two are a bit slow. The embryologist said that she was "hopeful" that we would have something to transfer on Wednesday but suddenly it all feel a bit precarious to me. I don't know, it's not bad news by any means but actually seeing the drop off happening is hard.

That sounds good to me and they’re still dividing 😊 fingers crossed for day 5 xx
MsNoons17 · 24/08/2020 18:53

@CardboardCat Everything crossed for you. Waiting is the worst part of the process by far.

Mseddy · 24/08/2020 20:50

@CardboardCat sorry to hear that your update has stressed you out. There are still a good few embryos dividing! And one is top quality. I'm sure you will have something to transfer on Wednesday. I've got everything crossed for you!

@CardboardCat fingers crossed for you!

Hope everyone doing ok, Monday over already! Hope this is a lucky week for everyone.
Still not convinced this is it for me. I'm not getting any early symptoms I had in previous 2 pregnancies which may be a sign things aren't developing the way they should.
My clinic doesn't do these beta bloods you ladies have been mentioning (I'd never heard of them until this thread) so I just need to pray I don't bleed between now and 10th September or hope it's not a missed one.
It'll be a long 3 weeks on panty check and symptom spotting!

Much love to you all x

loulamay · 25/08/2020 08:28

Thank you all so much. Amazing what a good night's sleep will do. Feeling better about life today! What will be, will be. Also did a bit of research on double embryo transfer and found this study: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5904070/

"Patients with multiple embryos transferred who delivered singletons were more likely to have suboptimal early hCG rises, potentially due to transient implantation of other non-viable embryo(s). "

I could be clutching at straws but we will see. Thank you for the anecdote about your friend's levels @StayingPositive8

@CardboardCat - so sorry that you're feeling stressed. You are most certainly not out of the game by any means, we had some slow ones that ended up as good 6 day blasts. It's so hard to wait for the call but don't give up hope!

@Bruce2 - how funny that you don't get a beta test and here I am stressing out over mine! They say that every pregnancy is different, so you might be one of the lucky ones who sails through with no symptoms for a while!

@Lepatz - how are you feeling?

@Mseddy - hope transfer went well!

nextweek · 25/08/2020 08:56

@Bruce2 my clinic doesn't do the the beta bloods and I hadn't heard of them either! So I'll just be waiting very impatiently to do my test. Maybe it's for the best, the blood test results would just give me something else to stress about!

Bruce2 · 25/08/2020 09:08

@loulamay I'm glad you feel better today

I went for my first boxfit class today since I embryo transfer. So nervous. I told the instructor I am very very early on so please don't call me out in class for taking it easy.
Part of me thinks I should do nothing, other part thinks I should get back to normal routine!
Really enjoyed being back exercising again
Have missed it

kikisparks · 25/08/2020 09:18

Hi all, I wasn’t sure whether to post this yet as not at OTD yet and I’m very anxious, but we got our BFP! Got a squinter at 6dp5dt and more visible lines yesterday and today- pictured is today’s (8dp5dt). Still not the strongest line yet.

I’m only 3 weeks 6 days pregnant and I had a chemical pregnancy before at 4 weeks 3 days so I’m very, very nervous, especially because my clinic makes me come off the progesterone on Thursday. But I am also so delighted, just begging it to stick. I don’t get a beta blood test either, if I’m still getting a positive test on Thursday I send them an email and they book a scan.
