Morning Girls!

@Georgina125 - I am the same, I like data so I can understand the most likely outcome. Statically, this should be my transfer but the human body is still mystery to why it does what it does!
Cute cat BTW - very similar looking to mine, who only gives a crap about me in the morning, when she needs feeding, when I have a shower (I am clearly an idiot who would drown if the cat didn't keep meowing at me!) and when I am trying to sleep!

@Eggling - I must say I love tonic! Add in fresh limes and it is amazing! or try it with the mint Robinsons - like a mojito!

@EffortIsSuccess20 - that's amazing news! When is your transfer?

@Pattaz2711 - I get the feeling that until you see that heart beat you won't be able to chill about it. With your level of concern, I am positive you are doing all the right things to have a healthy baby :) I feel like I should find you and give you a massive hug!

Welcome @ails826 - I wouldn't try to read too much into anything, you are in the process and your consultant has done your protocol so there isn't anything you can do to change the outcome. Yes you may have a drop off but you just need that one quality egg to take a hold.
Is this your first go?

Anyone got any plans for the weekend? I am going to make sure that I've got the house cleaned as it will be under DH's control from Sunday - please send help! He only man cleans!
If it is cooler, I'd like to get the dogs out for a nice walk, I have been VERY lazy this week.

Ails826 · 26/06/2020 10:18

@Mrbay yes first time.
I found the injections okay I think i just worry about everything and feeling quite poorly with the high hormones id like to get the follicles out now and there us akways something to worry about next like fertilizing and egg quality and growth etc

elleceedee · 26/06/2020 10:29

Tested this morning 4dp5dt and BFN. I know it's still early so going to test again tomorrow and hope there's a line...

@Mrbay I think I've got myself in such a state. An can't get out of it lol.. aw bless you thank you.. we're not that far lol..

So today I'm going to have a positive day an would like all ladies to join in..

At the end of the day with have to think of three positive things we have done that could even be we had a shower 😂..

Ivf takes over our life's and is our life for how ever long we are all doing it or have been.. an we need to be kind to ourselfs aswell in this process..

If I was busy I probably wouldn't be like this. Actually maybe a little bit lol..

Words for today.. Be kind to yourselfs..

@Eggling how was you gin. Think that's what I need 😂

@EffortIsSuccess20 amazing when is your transfer??

@elleceedee how are you?? which test did you use hun?

pattaz2711 · 26/06/2020 10:33

@elleceedee I couldn't actually see a faint faint line until 5dp5dt I thought I could before but when I look back now I didn't see anything.. hope your ok xx

Eggling · 26/06/2020 10:35

@Ails826 pretty much exactly the same happened to me. I had loads of follicles from the start, my hormone levels were ok but had shot up by my last scan and blood test so they rang that afternoon to confirm it would be freeze all - that was last Friday and I had egg collection Monday. I was absolutely devastated and posted here on the last thread where everyone was very lovely and supportive! I was upset all weekend but feel a bit better about it now. It's so hard as you get yourself geared up to finally maybe get pregnant and then it's another hurdle and delay. It's about making sure your body is the best environment possible for the embryo as well as keeping you from getting ill - I said to DH last week I didn't care if I ended up in hospital if I could be pregnant but thinking about it in terms of making a nice home for embryo is helping me. I'm also hoping to get a clearer idea on next steps at my consultation next week, which will help too. Honestly, there's nothing you can do about it and it takes a while to accept that, so I know how hard it is! Thinking of you x

Ails826 · 26/06/2020 10:41

@Eggling yesss thats what i said to mine ! I said id rather end up in hospital and get pregnant this month :(
Your right i was excited for this month it even next but when they said we would have to wait for 2 periods !! Thats like august so I feel so devastated and just so far sway
So do they tell you how good quality the eggs are or do they freeze then and your then worrying about that?
Im also really worried about getting the ovarie stimulation thing too so im eating salty crisps to try and help x
I suppose i just feel pretty miserable and i had maybe .. allowed myself to think about hetting pregnant x

Eggling · 26/06/2020 10:53

They fertilise and develop things as normal then freeze on day 5. I think sometimes they freeze some on day 3 if they're not developing well. For me, I had 21 eggs collected, 18 mature, 12 fertilised and 8 at day three, I find out how many reach day 5 tomorrow and then those ones will freeze if good enough quality. They said yesterday the embryos were all good quality so far but we shall see.

I think with ivf stats etc it's important to remember that they don't necessarily reflect each individual case. There can be lots of factors that affect egg quality and just because there is a link between high numbers of follicles and egg quality doesn't mean it's definitely the case for you! The doctors really do know what they're doing.

I totally understand the disappointment - I have a 'big' birthday in August and was fantasising about being able to tell mine and DH's families then as we'd be 12 weeks. It's so hard not to get ahead of yourself. I'm still a bit gutted but it will hopefully be worth it in the long run. Just have to try and take it one stage at a time I think!

Mrbay · 26/06/2020 10:54

@Pattaz2711 - nope, we can only be around 20/30mins max!
I'll start first 3- positive things so far today:
I've had a few orgasms ;)
I've hoovered and mopped the down stairs
Oh and I've showered - not washed the hair, that can wait until tomorrow so I am fresh for Sunday's transfer.

PS @Pattaz2711 - it was me on the gin last night, Foxdenton - English Country Garden, it is very good! When I go to a horse show, I always end up with buying a new gin, but I am terrible for not drinking at home so have a cupboard full of gin!

@ails826 - I only had 4-5 foliciles so they ached so I imagine that you must feel worse - try to get 2 litres of water each day as it helps to flush out extra hormones and waste.
Just have to take each day as it comes :)

@elleceedee - still very early, if you can resist tomorrow, try on Sunday - I know it is very hard but it depends on your baseline level of HCG some ladies have very high levels naturally so show earlier on tests. You are not out, until you are out - big hugs

Don't forget that for some clinics their frozen pregnancy rates are higher than their fresh - some peeps do better with less hormones - but no point putting yourself at risk, better to be fit and healthy for an easier pregnancy that be pregnant and worrying for both of your lives.

pattaz2711 · 26/06/2020 10:59

@Mrbay I love you an your comments you crack me up so much..

Oh I read that wrong didn't I with the gin lol. I'm a nightmare with this..

Well done top marks to you.. you can do another 3 😂😂🤣..

I'm not a home drinker but when I used to go out I used to make up for it and more lol. I love different gins.. they did a gin cart when we went away an you could try them all so I did 🤣🙈

HT2101 · 26/06/2020 11:22

@Pattaz2711 yey for trying to have a positive day... maybe try to wait and test again on Monday. If you’re still not sure then perhaps the blood test option will at least curb your worry levels.

@elleceedee super early days. Don’t worry. Test again xx

@Eggling try not to beat yourself up too much, you’re in a great position having 8 at day 3. I’m totally with you on the ‘big birthday’ dominating our thought process but for be kind to yourself and have a pat on the back for getting this far.

@Mrbay 4-5... now that’s just showing off! Wink

Ails826 · 26/06/2020 12:09

@Eggling yes I have a 'big birthday' coming up in March and I had a hard time accepting I wouldnt have given birth by the time I had that birthday

@Mrbay haha yeah i just feel sick more then anything but im drinking heaps more today though my 'healthy egg diet' has goje out the window all i want is bread and pasta not spinach and salad hahaha

Your right i know one step at a time and your eggs seems to be doing really well! Its making me feel better about having so many I was feeling so defeated earlier wheb I was researching
And my husband is busy fantasizing about his first coffee on monday morning hahaha

pattaz2711 · 26/06/2020 13:05

@HT2101 I am I've matched the odd socks up.. well I say say I'm currently say with the pile in front of me watching Netflix.. lol.. but it positive 😂.. how are you feeling today?

Don't forget here you positive things today..

@ivfgottostaypositive have you had your 3+ yet? How are you? X

@Ails826 welcome hun.. I'm the whinger of the group. An the flapper an the panicker!
These ladies are very experienced wonderful strong ladies you will ever meet.. 🥰.. also with regard to the embryo they usual let you know before freezing what grade they are an it will be in your notes what day they are frozen the fill you in day 3 an day 5 I think if I remember. Things may have changed since an some clinics are different

@Georgina125 hope your ok lovely xx

Georgina125 · 26/06/2020 13:11

@Pattaz2711 Yeah, I'm ok. Just watching some truly terrible films and resting up. I heard that implantation is in the first 1-2 days after transfer so I'm resting up until the end of the day today and back to work tomorrow. Clinic have asked me not to test until week Sunday. During the next week is my late son's birthday and anniversary of his loss. Its going to be difficult wondering if the embryo has implanted or not on top of everything else. I'm hoping my period doesn't arrive on either of the significant days.

pattaz2711 · 26/06/2020 13:16

@Georgina125 I know how are the wait is as you can tell with my comments. I rested but also carried on as normal just not as much as I usually do.. I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. I have to wait another 6 days before I can officially test. An I had mine last week. My clinic won't accept it before.. be kind to yourself an talk on here whe you need to.. I know next week will be tough for you.. sending lots of love ❤️

HT2101 · 26/06/2020 13:35

@Mrbay haha I just realised I mixed up some ones ‘4-5 follicle count’ with your positive list....🤣 still pleased you had a few

HT2101 · 26/06/2020 13:41

@Pattaz2711 I’m ok, nothing exciting to report. Just waiting until my first scan on Tuesday and hoping I can start the stims.

@Ails826 I know it’s disappointing but try not to beat yourself up too much. Like others have said you need to focus on making a nice little home for that passenger when it comes on board. You’ve done really well to get this far. My ‘big birthday’ will be in Jan and I’m also putting a lot of pressure on myself which I know doesn’t help anything!

EffortIsSuccess20 · 26/06/2020 13:47

Hi everyone , trust keeping well this afternoon.
My transfer is tomorrow Saturday @Mrbay, @Pattaz2711.
Washed my hair , Some cook ahead & Cleaning the house now in progress .

Ails826 · 26/06/2020 13:55

@Pattaz2711 hhahahaha yessss il be joining you on the panicing front, im such a bloody crier when I get fustrated so i hooe i donf sit and cry in the meeting after the retrieval im that annoying patient thats asking 'is that ok' 'is that normal' allllll the time its so ridiculous

@HT2101 i know your so right and there is nothing I can do about it i was also worried about the quality of them i think im just going to worry through every stage ! Those big birthdays and expectations are so fusttating thats why i think iv stopped trying to imagine anything happening so my expectations can be low to avoid dissappoibtment

pattaz2711 · 26/06/2020 14:04

@Ails826 when I had my egg retival I was all over the place I made cheese an ham sandwiches. An all I was talking about that an they need to hurry up 😂🙈.. lol.. I cry at everything to.. your not alone have you seen my comments the last 2 days 🙈 if I didn't have these girls god knows where I'd be.. same for you 3 positive things today.. ❤️

Ails826 · 26/06/2020 14:21

Thank you so much for this, I have no one in real life a d I hadnt realised hiw mich i needed this or you girls ❤❤

Mrbay · 26/06/2020 14:29

@Pattaz2711 - I do love gin!! Have you tried the gin bar in Bath?
Ok, another 3 before the end of the day!

@HT2101 - i did wonder how you knew how my Os I had this morning!! lol!!!
Exciting regarding your scan, I found stims flew by this time - helped by you girls :)

@Ails826 - dont worry, I've eaten so many sweets this week!
Regarding eggs they are all individual, I can remember receiving my AMH results and think, there is nothing left (in the style of Ian Beale - but what is left clearly has something right with them - I just figure the less I have, the more likely I am to have one that becomes my kid - it must be heart breaking having to go through multiple transfer to get the correct one :)

@Georgina125 - I have everything crossed for you. Not the same, but I have 2 friends due to give birth soon and I am hoping that I don't get negative news on the same day they give birth.

@EffortIsSuccess20 - exciting times!! How are you feeling about it?
You're so organised! I'm gonna clean, but I'll be on DH's limited menu next week!

@pattaz2711 - oh no! I love new cookware, what one did DP bring home??
I know that feeling, I am the better cook in our relationship so I pretty much cook 6/7 days per week and then include a few meals that DH can do without causing a massive fuss!!

Mrbay · 26/06/2020 14:33

today's 4th positive point - one of the nurses at the clinic loves my handbag, I noticed that they have a discount on them today so I've called the clinic to let her know - I know that they have bigger things to worry about and I did say that my call wasn't related to my treatment and could be seen as slightly unprofessional but I didn't want her to miss out!

pattaz2711 · 26/06/2020 14:35

@Mrbay no I haven't tried it an if this is real wont for a while lol.. what bag let us all see :)).. what time on Sunday have you got to go xx

pattaz2711 · 26/06/2020 15:06

@Mrbay p.s look at you showing off with your positives lol.. glad to see we're doing more am noticing them as positive
