@Mrbay today is day 1. I had 5 mature and 4 fertilised through ICSI. Just had the phone call an hour ago. They aren’t giving me a day 3 update - just day 5.

@Pattaz2711 those lines look nice and strong and can definitely see development on them.

@Mrbay that's fantastic news! So exciting that in a few days you'll be PUPO! Good plan to take a week off to relax too.

@Pattaz2711 I think if bloods will help you relax then it's worth considering, sorry you're having such a stressful time. Please feel free to moan to us anytime ❤️

I'm still waiting for my call with my day 3 update. They said between 8 and 4 so could be a while yet, but they called really early on Tuesday, before 9, so of course I'm now panicking that it's dreadful news so they're waiting. At least I can still recognise that I'm being crazy I suppose!

I've (hopefully) attached a picture of my new best friend 😂 she's being a very good distraction this morning! She only got spayed last week so still has a big shaved patch from the op.

@Eggling don’t worry about the timing of the call, mine didn’t ring me until around lunchtime the day after my egg collection and I was sure it was because they were putting off giving me bad news. But it was fine.

@BabySweet85 Well done in your fertilised eggs! Losing four is sounds about average in terms of the drop off rate. I lost five. You're doing really well!

@Pattaz2711 Your tests look great. Really dark lines on there - especially as you're only 8dp5dt like me, aren't you? I'd be happy with that! If you think about it, today would only be 13dpo in a normal cycle. That's so early! This is what I'm telling myself too, because I definitely share your anxiety about lines not getting darker because it happened to me with my last loss in April. But you should be reassured that your lines are nice and dark now!

@Dbrook I agree with @Eggling - timing of calls is totally irrelevant. I got a super early call on the first day, where we went from 17 eggs to 10, then on the day we got good news about having three blastocysts, they called late. I got myself so worked up, thinking they were going to break bad news. Sorry you've been suffering with OHSS too - it's the worst! I had a rough night but feel just a tad better this morning. Might be because the clinic told me I need to be taking paracetamol every four hours to manage pain. But of course the tiny improvement makes me panic that HCG isn't rising! I panic over everything! Waiting to hear back from clinic this afternoon with my blood test results from this morning, to see if HCG is going up. Fingers crossed.

Don't worry about times of calls - sometimes I've had them really early and then other times really really late on the day. Just depends on how busy it is in the laboratory and I think sometimes they have a couple of people check them before agreeing on the grading

Thanks everyone for reassuring me - I knew it was mad to worry about the timing but can't seem to help myself. They've called now and we have 8 that are developing well at day 3 so they're taking them through to day 5 before freezing. They'll call on Saturday to let us know how many make it to blasto.

Hi everybody, hope we are all ok
It's so reassuring to read these messages and know I'm not the only one in a constant state of panic. Sorry I'm unable to tag everyone in as I'll lost my post but congrats to all of you who are PUPO and onwards. Fab tips about imagining the tree planting.
I called the clinic yday as it was a full flow day to be told to start injections today not yday! Something didnt feel right as I was reading my diary so I called back to discuss and I'm glad I did as the nurse had written my dosage wrong and had me stopping meriofert at 6 days!! I couldnt believe it, I was gobsmacked and thought what could have happened if I didnt call to clarify!
Hope we are all enjoying the sunshine. Fingers crossed for us all x x

@Eggling - it is a scary thought! last night I thought I had better make use of being able to have a G&T and then completely forgot! Fingers crossed for a positive day 3 update, so nerve racking.
Oh, poor kitty cat hasn't shown on your post. Am I cruel, I always think that they look cool shaved as some have multi coloured skin.

@Pattaz2711 sorry to hear you're struggling. I was super emotional around the time AF was due, lots of tears! be kind to yourself, i can see really good line progression on those tests

@Eggling 8 is great!

I have so far managed to resist testing again as I think I'll just get upset about how dark or faint the line is so I'm just trying to chill - I wouldn't say that my strategy is exactly working as I still spend a load of time worrying but I'm going to try and hold out until my scan on 10th July ..maybe with one cheeky test in the middle for reassurance!

Hi ladies, just had some good news. My HCG has gone from 55 to 99 in 24 hours! Really happy that things seem to be going in the right direction 😍

AF arrived with a vengeance today so booked in for first scan on Tuesday. Starting to worry about having to mix the Menopur as Gonal F was a lot simpler.

@ivfgottostaypositive - I know, I feel a weight of my shoulders, I know it is still early days but at least we have something!

hopefully the time will fly by to the 10th :)

@ht2101 - I will do, as soon as I clocked off from work I'll be having a lovely cold one!

@Pattaz2711 those lines look great, please dont panic i know how hard it believe me ive been there with the lines and the lose. try and compare them every other day as may not see a massive difference in 6-7 but you will with 6 &8 as your HCG is meant to double and as we have seen some even more than that in 48hrs, xxx

For those asking about acupuncture - i have been seeing an acupuncturist who specialises in fertility. She is brilliant and has really helped me. She recommends a pre and post transfer session on the day of the transfer. I haven’t booked in yet though.

Hey all. Just heard from the clinic and it's just the one frozen embryo unfortunately. That said it was good quality (grade 3 or something) but the other blastocysts kind of stopped growing for some reason.

Hmmm. Actually I must have misheard. A quick Google suggests that Grade 3 would not be frozen so maybe she meant the other embryos.

@Everhopeful35 - you must be over the moon!!

@Pattaz2711 - do you feel a little more relaxed now?

@Georgina125 - sorry to hear that, but at least you have one ready for transfer when you are ready.

@ivfgottostaypositive - you've got me looking at the prices for ClearBlue Digital - I think I am being a bit premature but I do love a bargain!

Is it normal to just get the one frozen out of all those Day 3 potentials? It makes me worry about my egg quality.

@georgina125 I know it’s disappointing but you’ve done so well to get your one passenger on board. You should be giving yourself a pat on the back for that.

It’s so hit and miss. I’ve had a cycle where I got 4 top grade embryos and then another cycle where I didn’t get anything. I think that’s the frustrating thing with a lot of this. There’s not consistency...
