IVF May/June Cycle Buddies

Hi

Couldn't see a thread for May/June - hoping that I'm not on my own for this cycle as its our 2nd cycle and feeling worried that I won't get to transfer.

Would be great to share the ups and downs with others, I'm starting buserelin next Wednesday (27th May).

@MrsLouB - thank you see has one blue and one blue and brown eye.
I think 8dp5dt is too early to get the correct result, I would test again in 2-days time.

@Pattaz2711 - good luck for today and enjoy being PUPO! Regarding the hair, it was coconut oil last night, I really need a good haircut but I'm holding out until after the IVF just in case.

@MrsLouB oh, love, I'm sorry you haven't got a definite result yet. Definitely worth testing again as it's early days still.

I have my second monitoring scan later today. Have felt my ovaries a bit last night and this morning - not painful just kind of aware of them. I'm nervous again, which is daft as the nurses are all so lovely and it's only a scan!

@MrsLouB morning lovely, I'm sorry you've had a rough start to the day but it still could be too early to get the right result. I would try and wait until maybe Friday if you can but you're not out until AF arrives!

@Eggling I think it's natural to be nervous because of what it means and you're just hoping it goes ok at every stage. Good luck for your scan!

Hi Ladies, would anyone who’s taken Buserelin injections be able to share what side effects they had?

My previous 2 cycles I used Synarel, so just wondering what I should expect...

I’m taking Buserelin and get headaches, hot flushes and dehydration. None of them too severe though. I just strip off and drink lots and lots of water!!! Xx

@MrsLouB I see the line! Don't lose hope. One of my best friends had the faintest line ever with her pregnancy and it took a while to get stronger, and her DD is nearly three now! As everyone else says, it's not over until AF comes.

I went in for another transfer today. Two of our embryos made it to blastocyst stage and we made the decision to transfer a second (we had a day three embryo transferred on Monday) and freeze the other. Was a bit nervous making that decision. We have a history of miscarriage and if two stick there's an increased risk of miscarriage. So was a tricky one. But we decided best to just up our odds of having a pregnancy.

That's great news! I've never heard of doing mixing day 3 and 5 before! So was that advised by the clinic? Or did you ask to do that? what grade of blastocyst did they put back in? Very exciting! I transferred two as well 🤞🤞

@Everhopeful35 THANK YOU XX i just feel that it is either a bad evap even though saw in the 3min mark and photo taken at 5mins or i catching it on the way out not the way in xx

@ivfgottostaypositive Me neither! I thought you had to transfer them both on the same day. Our consultant said that they do it because they don't like taking the risk that a very good looking embryo on day 3 will fail by day 5. They think the best place for it is back in the womb, where it will most likely develop to a blastocyst. The blastocyst today was graded AB. Now to begin the painful wait until our pregnancy test on the 27th!!

P.S. anyone else finding they're hungrier post EC? I seem to be eating so much! I keep snacking on sausage rolls... must start trying to be more healthy!

Yup after EC the floodgates opened and I ate so much crap in the week afterwards - eating everything I'd denied myself over the previous few months trying to eat healthy for my egg quality 🤣

5 day embryo which has started to hatch is that good?

5 day hatching is brilliant, you've got a great chance with that @Pattaz2711 hope the transfer went smoothly!
