Hi all,

Just wondering if any one else is awaiting information from BWH in relation to when they will start back up?
Thought we could have a board to share info?

xx

Hi Ladies,

Just had an update from my clinic only 3 of my 10 eggs have fertilized - quite shocked tbh! 2 were abnormal and 5 immature. Doing a day 3 transfer on Monday now cause of the low numbers.

:(

@jm2020 sorry to hear that...a bit new to infertility treatment but they do say you only need one right? Fingers crossed for you and keep is updated xx

jm2020 · 03/10/2020 13:54

yeah @WE32 its my first cycle aswell - I know you only need 1 but when normally atleast 50-70% fertilize its a bit disheartening. The embryologist said the clinical team will review why so many were immature as he doesn't understand why x

Hi @jm2020 wishing you lots of luck for your transfer tomorrow 🤞

Sorry I dropped off the thread - I actually got pregnant after my baseline scan but sadly miscarried earlier this week (it's been a long drawn out miscarriage, I knew 3 weeks ago it wasn't going to work out). As it's my 4th loss, we're taking a break for some more tests before we decide to use our nhs round.

All the best for transfer xx

jm2020 · 25/10/2020 20:00

@jm2020 I'm sorry to hear that. How many rounds do you get that are nhs funded?
I'm ok, still waiting on BWH, they are now saying they won't start our treatment until they have set up their 'online video training' what used to be in the lecture hall. But like everything else that has now been delayed. My 40th birthday has come and gone so still waiting.

jm2020 · 26/10/2020 07:02

@Kiza we only get one round funded so anymore rounds now we have to pay for.

I can’t believe BWH still aren’t ready! It’s really shocking. Will your CCG not let you change clinics? X

@Pinktruffle Hi Pink Truffle i need some help please. Iv been with BWH for 4 years. I have vulva pain and i cant do smears. I want to go and do ivf but they keep putting me on a programmes with dialators. 3 natural miscarriages later i end up on square one of the dialators and my health is getting worse with this. Are you saying BWH (birmingham womens hospital) can do IVF under General Anesthetic?

Pinktruffle · 29/11/2020 22:09

@Nerdy123 Hi, I'm no expert but they did both my egg collection and egg transfer under general anaesthetic. The egg collection is done that way as a standard and the egg transfer was at my request but they were more than happy to accommodate it. I was very lucky and my IVF was succesful first time, my two week old son is currently asleep on my laps and BWH did both my IVF treatment and took me through to the birth of my son.

Have you seen any specialists in the fertility clinic yet? You need to speak to one of them about your referral for IVF and they will outline the parameters

Nerdy123 · 30/11/2020 10:54

Awww @Pinktruffle i pray your son grows from strength to strength a lovely thing to read. I will do you have given me more hope! Thankyou much goodwill and blessing to you and your family Halo

Hi ladies hope your all well , and you don’t mind me jumping on this post .
Me and my partner are currently awaiting to start ICSI , my other half had his sperm retrieval surgery back in July and we was told that we could start in November but we said that we wanted to hang back till after the new year as I can appreciate that a lot of ladies treatments have been cancelled that are older than me and they need to be prioritised first , they agreed that they will note it all down and will begin after the new year , yet today I was rang by one person and they said we will be waiting another 6 months due to me being under 30 , can’t help but feel frustrated, so I called back a while after to get more info and then was told February, has anyone else been given different contradicting information over the last week 🤷🏼‍♀️They said they still haven’t got an online consent form sorted yet , is this correct ? x
