Hi all,

Just wondering if any one else is awaiting information from BWH in relation to when they will start back up?
Thought we could have a board to share info?

xx

Ah that's good progress 🤞 hopefully you'll get booked in soon. The nurse I saw was lovely and explained everything. I'm still waiting to hear about next steps. Glad things are moving in the right direction xx

jm2020 · 17/08/2020 16:10

Thank you @VenusStarr

Will you be calling therm abit closer to September to find out more?

VenusStarr · 17/08/2020 16:14

I think so, they did say I would have an appt early September, but think I will follow it up if I've not heard by the end of next week. I feel more relaxed now I've seen them and am in the system.
I hope you feel similar, once you've had your scan @jm2020 xx

jm2020 · 18/08/2020 15:41

Hi @VenusStarr Had the phone call today with an appointment. 24th September! :( it seems so far away.

I said to her that I seen on the website that people can book appointments for the 7th September. She said that is only for private patients. Bit upset to be honest that it is so long away. I know we won't be able to start until the end of October either as my period is due on the 23rd September :(

xx

Oh that does seem far away @jm2020. When I was booked in for a scan they told me they're only doing appointments on Tuesdays, so maybe that's why there's a delay. Frustrating for you though. It's difficult as once you've had the first appointment, you still need to have the protocol meeting. Do they run a cancellation list? Xx

jm2020 · 18/08/2020 17:02

I just don't understand why the have closer appointmens for private patients. They are still getting paid either way. I said about cancellations and she said you can try but there is alot of patients to be seen.

Just seems like delay after delay :(

How long after your first appointment did you do protocol meeting?

VenusStarr · 18/08/2020 18:20

I'm still waiting for the protocol meeting @jm2020 I think it'll be sometime early September. All I know is its mild ivf, but haven't been told the specific plan. There's more consents that we need to sign but they haven't sent them yet. We did the first lot before the appointment a couple of weeks ago xx

jm2020 · 18/08/2020 18:25

i've done consents and the CD form and the welfare of child form and watch the videos online about them all and the covid rules

Do you think you'll be starting in September? Fingers crossed you do

I think so, it'll be towards the end though as that's when af is due. It is slow, but trying to see it all as progress ❤️

Don't forget to take your id to the scan appointment, they took copies of ours xx

jm2020 · 18/08/2020 20:17

Yeah we have our passports :)

Think I'll be starting end of October which just seems so far away - I hope it goes quickly lol

Hi ladies, I've been referred to BwH for nhs funded IVF (still awaiting my treatment planning appt) but am wondering should I have had an antral follicule count due to my FSH being high and AMH being low? I was under a consultant at goodhope and now wondering why this additional test wasn't done prior to the IVF referral? Did you ladies have it?

jm2020 · 19/08/2020 09:12

Hi @Kiza BWH do go through your file with you and ask questions at you treatment planning about things - so maybe bring it up with them then?

I know in the group session they mentioned you can pay £100 if you wanted your AMH tested and then they will discuss it with you. So because you have already had it tested just discuss the results with them :)

Hey @jm2020 I'm OK, my appointment is 11 September, feeling quite anxious about starting. Great that things are moving for you now :) xx

jm2020 · 22/08/2020 21:16

did they contact you? Or did you have to contact them?

Hopefully it all goes quickly for you :)

They called me for the next appt @jm2020, I was offered an earlier one but I've got a work meeting I can't get out of. Got more consents before this one - the email says we'll be ready to start after that one. So you're not far off 🤞 xx

WE32 · 26/08/2020 21:04

Hey everyone, wanted to check how your experiences were going with create? I got a call saying they were planning to switch us over too apparently they sent a letter months ago but we never received it!

VenusStarr · 27/08/2020 06:59

They've been really good @WE32, a much better experience than at BWH. I've had my baseline scan and we were there over an hour, answered all our questions and we both just felt comfortable and have faith that they're supporting us. I just felt like a number at the hospital.
Good luck

WE32 · 27/08/2020 09:32

Thanks! Apparently they've sent another letter but we haven't got that either...just want to get a move on with things now!

WE32 · 27/08/2020 14:16

Can I ask how long it took once you signed the letter for transferring of funding to create for you to get onto create's system and get an appointment? I am really struggling to get through to anyone at the women's to find out what to do as none of the information they are posting to us is actually getting here! And I am just worried that same thing will happen once we eventually sign the forms and they send our file to create!

jm2020 · 03/09/2020 21:31

Hi @WE32 I had my letter in June to say we were being transferred but the contract didn't start until August. Think I read somewhere up to 28 days to transfer.

@VenusStarr Hope you're doing ok
