Hi all,

Just wondering if any one else is awaiting information from BWH in relation to when they will start back up?
Thought we could have a board to share info?

Hi @jm2020, you'll be there about an hour, we did a full ttc history, briefly discussed the protocol then I had a scan - she took loads of pictures and talked through what she could see. We both had a blood test too. Then they said we'd get more consent forms and our protocol and injection teach appointment would follow.

Good luck 🤞 ❤️ glad it's come round for you xx

jm2020 · 07/09/2020 11:18

hey @VenusStarr all went well - I had 15 follicles on my right ovary and 13 on my left which he said indicates a form of PCO but not the syndrome as I have regular periods. He said he could also see some tissues which may indicate endometriosis. - is your consent and teach a virtual consultation? Ours is on Friday the 11th - so we can start on my next cycle which is 24 September :)

Glad things are moving forward for you. We need to rearrange our virtual consultation as dh has been called back from furlough. Hope all goes well this week, it's happening :) xx

jm2020 · 07/09/2020 13:47

Hello everyone hope things are going well/starting to move quickly for everyone! Can I just check for those that have started with create, how long does it take and how many appointments between the initial consultation/scan to actually starting treatment?X

jm2020 · 12/09/2020 20:03

Hi @WE32 So They contacted us the middle of Augut=st and got some more details off us to set us up on their system. They then got our first appointment and gave us the link to do online consent forms. Our first scan and consultation was 7th September. Then consent appointment was a virtual one on the 11th and medication is being delivered next week for me to start on my next cycle which is 24th September. It seems to move very quickly now they have the NHS funding up and running

WE32 · 22/09/2020 20:01

I rang them again and they said probably won't have any appointments until November now...not looking great! Will just have to see what happens
Best of luck everyone and hope to join you soon!X

Pinktruffle · 22/09/2020 20:39

Keep calling every week @WE32, just in case they get a cancellation

Kiza · 25/09/2020 15:52

I'm still waiting on BWH, since June I've rung up every month and each time I get told 'you're on the priority list and we aim to offer you an appointment in 3 weeks'. It's now been 4 months of being told that... grrrr..

jm2020 · 25/09/2020 17:18

@Kiza BWH are terrible with communication. It's like they don't talk to each other!! I was upset when my CCG changed to Create but i'm happy now as we have finally started. Had my first injection last night xx

OP posts:
WE32 · 27/09/2020 23:07

Completely agree regarding communication! I found it so frustrating trying to contact them! It took them several months to get our paperwork to create as well when our CCG changed over.
Good luck @Kiza and @jm2020

jm2020 · 28/09/2020 07:08

Thank you @WE32 have my first monitoring scan this morning :) x

Kiza · 28/09/2020 07:21

Eeeeysh, looks like I'll just have to grin and bare it!
Good luck to you both too and hope the scan goes well this morning @jm2020

jm2020 · 30/09/2020 13:57

Thank you @Kiza all went well - got my egg collection on Friday - eeekkkk!!! xx

WE32 · 30/09/2020 17:19

Ah @jm2020 how exciting! XX

WE32 · 02/10/2020 21:01

They have now said mid November we can be seen...my cycle is towards the end of the month so maybe I could even start that cycle?!
Hope it went well @jm2020

WE32 · 02/10/2020 21:02

@Kiza I am hearing that things are starting up again at the women's so fingers crossed it won't be too much longer xx

Kiza · 02/10/2020 21:41

@WE32 yeah they started up back in June but I've been messed around loads. I've phoned up every month for the last 4 months and have been told 'your appointment letter is in the post, you should get it soon' or 'you're not registered with us you need to have an outpatient appointment' (which I did and then was apologised to as it wasn't needed having been transferred from Goodhope) to 'you're appointment will hopefully be in 3 weeks as you're on a priority list due to your age'.
It seems every time I've phoned since June I've been told different things.

WE32 · 02/10/2020 22:30

@Kiza oh that is so frustrating! And being told different things all the time! With me it turned out they hadn't even properly sent letters to us and didn't believe me when I told them about it! I was pretty angry.
I would say to ask one of the admin team to look into it for you to get a clear answer but I know how hard it is to get through to anyone. I'm so sorry. I really do hope it's not too much longer xx
