@piglet11 mine was FET & my OTD is Friday at 14dp5dt but was my day off today so that’s why we tested today, I’ve kept their official test for Friday - you should be fine for Sunday 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@justkeeprunning5 hi!! Welcome to the hard bit!! One of 😂😫

@Parkandride 🤞🏻🤞🏻🍀for your tomorrow xx

Mischali · 20/02/2020 05:47

I’ve started spotting the pink spotting I always get starting around 9dpo (today) it invariably turns light red then af. Maybe from Crinone use? Because I’m also using injectable progesterone so idk how my lining could be shedding. We’ll see! Bfn this morning 4dp5dt but tbh I would have been shocked to see a line lol.

Parkandride · 20/02/2020 06:11

Thank you for all the good wishes you lovely bunch, unfortunately very negative at 10dpt. Sorry for spoiling the lucky run.
This really bloody hurts Sad I feel so stupid for getting my hopes up.

And I've just had to put the stupid pessary in as have to continue for 3 days post otd, another week of this Sad

Mischali · 20/02/2020 08:48

@Parkandride soooo many hugs, so sorry to hear your bad news! Why on earth are they making you continue the pessary? That seems unfair 😥

Parkandride · 20/02/2020 09:04

Thank you. Their advice is to test against 3 days after otd, and I'm a couple of days before that anyway. If my period came it'd be ok and i could stop so hopefully it will. Do you think it's worth calling them? I don't want to look at more negative tests

CupcakeEater · 20/02/2020 09:37

@Parkandride I am so sorry to hear your news Flowers Flowers

Minster2012 · 20/02/2020 09:51

@Parkandride so sorry sending hugs

@Mischali that’s still very early

YouCanButTry · 20/02/2020 10:36

Hi all,
I've been watching this thread for a couple of days and I have to say, it's helping keep me sane. It's really nice to know there's others going through the same thing.

A little about me. This is my first round of IVF and I'm still getting used to all the acronyms, so please bear with my. I had my 5 day blastocyst transfer on Saturday (which I think means I'm either 5dp5dt, or 6dp5dt (not sure if Saturday counts). My OTD is Tuesday 25th and I'm doing my best to wait until then before testing.

As for symptoms. I'm feeling fine. It's really odd!! I had an incredible amount of pain during stimulation, then a lot of trapped wind and bloat after EC and ET but now I feel fine. Not even unusually emotional. I'm hoping that no symptoms is a symptom in itself.

Anyway good luck to everyone and thank you for being there! We're not alone.

Mischali · 20/02/2020 10:37

@Minster2012 I didn’t really expect a line :) I would have been a great exception to the rule if there was one; also I’m not using FRER but pharmacy 20miu sensitivity tests. I just test a lot in general and planned on starting soon this time too!

@Parkandride phone them hun, the least they can do is answer your questions x

Piglet11 · 20/02/2020 11:48

9dp5dt today and after the worrying sore backs and slight cramps I have now had a little bit of blood come out with the pessarie wax this morning along with some more on the toilet roll. I phoned the clinic and they said try not to worry and carry on as normal until the otd but i am now certain it is the end of the road. I'm studying the loo roll and it hasn't happened again since. I would try testing today but i have drank an awful lot and therefore sure it will come back negative regardless of whether i am pregnant or not.

Piglet11 · 20/02/2020 11:50

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time @Parkandride. Hopefully the clinic will make you feel better about things

Piglet11 · 20/02/2020 11:52

@YouCanButTry. I don't think you need to worry about no symptoms, I know a lot of people that had no symptoms at all and were pregnant :)

Mischali · 20/02/2020 12:43

@YouCanButTry the two times I’ve done ivf and been on progesterone supplements I feel fine! I feel like crap and have every “symptom” that exists, when we ttc naturally and my progesterone starts to decline mid-luteal phase. I was miserable during stims and in bed 2,5 days after ER and now after ET, physically I feel fine! Btw with my first ivf and zero symptoms I did end up pregnant; but due to lack of symptoms I couldn’t believe it until the first ultrasound.
This time around I’m just glad to be done with most of the ivf side effects/pain/misery.

Piglet11 · 20/02/2020 15:49

Does anyone know if the progesterone would stop a period if it had already started to show? This morning I had a small amount of blood 9dp5dt on the toilet roll along with the wax from the pessary however 5-6 hours and about 100000 pees later i haven't had anymore blood.

YouCanButTry · 20/02/2020 16:19

Thank you @Mischali, that makes me feel much better. So sorry to hear you had such a rough time during the rest of the IVF process but I'm pleased you're feeling better. Fingers crossed for good news on D-day.

@Piglet11. My clinic said "if you get a negative result on OTD and have started menstruation then they would take me off the meds, otherwise they would keep me on them until another test a week later" That suggests to me that it wouldn't stop AF altogether (or at least not for everyone). The fact that they're not willing to take ppl off meds without a negative test also suggests to me that there are cases where ppl spot even when pregnant. Don't give up just yet. You really can't know until that test!

Mischali · 20/02/2020 18:56

Is mostly everyone from the UK only doing hpts to test? No beta hcg testing?

Mischali · 21/02/2020 06:45

So I got my bfp this morning 5dp5dt on 3 different tests! I’m exhausted and my face is swollen/looks like I’ve just woken up, so tired! Don’t know if it’s a symptom or just the shock of the bfp. Going to continue testing and then do bloodwork on Monday & 48h repeat on Wednesday.

YouCanButTry · 21/02/2020 07:54

That's fantastic @Mischali! Congratulations! Really happy for you!

Viletta · 21/02/2020 08:42

@Mischali congratulations!! Amazing news!

Yes, normally uK clinics would do hpt and European beta. I think it's tricky with beta, it's much more accurate and you can test earlier but logically it would make sense to test twice to see the number rising.

twinkleyes35 · 21/02/2020 09:33

Congratulations 🥳 amazing news ☺️👍🏻x

justkeeprunning5 · 21/02/2020 11:19

@Mischali Congratulations! It’s so tempting to test early seeing so many of you do so but not sure I could put myself through the ringer with ‘maybe it’s just too early / maybe tomorrow will be different’ so will try to last the distance to next Saturday.

Sight twinges in my back and tummy and worryingly a bad mood today (hope
It’s not PMS and just linked to the anxiety of all this stuff, would be too early for PMS systems anyway wouldn’t it?!) This is tough!

YouCanButTry · 21/02/2020 11:23

@justkeeprunning5 I'm also trying not to test before my OTD. I'm in a little bubble of hope (which I think has an airhole but I keep blowing it back up). I'm not ready to pop it

Mischali · 21/02/2020 11:28

Thanks ladies!

Piglet11 · 21/02/2020 16:48

Congrats @Mischali. You are braver than I am!
@YouCanButTry- I would say it’s a bit weird early for pms.

I’ve not had any blood since the little bit I got yesterday morning so hoping it’s just a reaction to the progesterone and not af. I was 9dp5dt so I’m pretty sure it wasn’t implantation spotting

Piglet11 · 21/02/2020 16:55

Oops I meant that for @justkeeprunning5 not you @YouCanButTry sorry
