Ahh thanks guys, feel less of a nutjob. I like the idea of a lucky month @lls1990 Smile

Welcome @mischali is this your first round? I'll be testing with you on Thursday I think

Mischali · 16/02/2020 16:55

Wow congrats on all the bfps, lots of extra hugs to the ladies who got bfns x

Mischali · 16/02/2020 16:58

@Parkandride I did a fresh cycle ivf in 2016 which resulted in ds, no frozen embies left from that. This is my first new ivf cycle after ds birth, we tried naturally and with clomid since having him with no luck. So yes for ttc #2 at least this is our first cycle. We had 2 to freeze but won’t be trying beyond those.
Fx for all this week’s testers ❤️

Parkandride · 17/02/2020 06:24

Hope it works out as well this time @Mischali

Woke with a cold, immediate panic that my white blood cells will zap the embryo, but a bit of 5am googling (obviously) suggest maybe not such a bad thing as it can be your immunity lowering to allow it in. Who knows!

DobbieFreeElf · 17/02/2020 07:27

@Parkandride I had the worst cold on my transfer day and for days afterwards, I asked if I could sneeze out the blastocyst but they said that was impossible!

Mischali · 17/02/2020 07:48

Thanks @Parkandride

An appropriate and healthy immune system is vital to pregnancy & implantation :) so if your immune system is supporting your body when you have the flu, great! My RE gave me a long lecture about it, citing several authors and research... what an exhausting lecture but I believe him! Also- I fell down 2 flights of stairs last pregnancy 9dpo and nothing happened to embie. Sneezing definitely won’t make a difference :)

Parkandride · 17/02/2020 08:05

Haha a medical lecture is always fun! Will try hard not to sneeze it out Grin

Lily999 · 17/02/2020 10:40

I heard something interesting about that, if you take an egg from your fridge and you shake it as hard as you possibly can then open it the yolk will be intact and safe. This is what you need to picture your belly during pregnancy :) Those embies are very well protected.
The doctor struggled so badly when I had my transfer as she said it was very difficult to reach the top of my uterus and somehow it gave me such great assurance that since it was so hard for her to push the embie up there it must have been good for implantation as the embie couldn't escape and run away haha! (was also sneezing on transfer day and had the same fear, but trust me it didn't cause any issues)

lilybelle123 · 17/02/2020 11:05

Okay, the TWW is the longest days in my entire life lol! We're only 5dp5dt and the OTD is next Monday.....my oh wants to test early but i don't want to break the PUPO bubble early!

I can't believe all the BFPs on here! Congrats to everyone xxx

What day did everyone get their BFPs?

Lily999 · 17/02/2020 11:27

Hi @lilybelle123 we can all relate to that haha it is painfully long for sure!
I had transfer on the 3rd of Feb and tested on Valentine's Day that was 11days past transfer (16days past egg collection a.k.a. ovulation). I was very strong for not testing sooner, honestly surprised myself, but really wanted to find it out with DH as it meant a lot to me and he was very much against early testing. It was a definite BFP and we didn't use a FRER so I am really not trying to tempt you, but it would have been a BFP 1-2days sooner for sure.

DobbieFreeElf · 17/02/2020 13:01

I still maintain that testing early doesn’t change the outcome but can just add to the anxiety and confusion. If it’s a bfn you’ll feel disappointment, is it really a bfn? Is it too early? Start frantically googling and asking others to give you hope. If it’s BFP, is it the trigger? Is it dark enough? Is it getting darker? There is a reason that we are given an OTD and it’s not just to torment us all! (Even though every moment of every day is torture!!)

Parkandride · 17/02/2020 14:17

Wise words @DobbieFreeElf I will try and remember them!

The only thing I wondered was if picking up chemicals was worthwhile, as presumably thats a different issue to not implanting at all, or is that all linked? I'm such a negative Nancy I'm planning for the follow up already

Minster2012 · 17/02/2020 14:28

I agree with @DobbieFreeElf
It’s torture but especially for those doing fresh transfers I wouldn’t trust a result until OTD anyway, due to not only the triggers but also variance in pregnancy testing kits.
We have done FET with no trigger shots & my OTD is Friday which is the FULL 14 days after as my clinic give you a hpt they don’t do bloods & wont take u phoning in sooner. I will do 2 x FRER on weds so 12dp5dt only because that’s my day off & if BFN I can be miserable all day if I want as well as drink at a pub meeting that night whereas OTD on Friday I’m seeing my MIL who doesn’t know
But only 2 days in advance & still 12 days& will still do the clinic hpt on Friday & only then trust that fully 🤷‍♀️

Mischali · 17/02/2020 15:36

I will be the one on the thread testing out the trigger and waiting for a line to appear :) my otd is 8dp5dt in any case; early (13dpo) with repeat 2 days later. Last time I got my hpt bfp at 6dp5dt with trigger out. So you all can watch my posts and my agonizing and don’t have to do it yourselves lol.

DobbieFreeElf · 17/02/2020 15:39

My wait is over and the lucky streak continues! BFP bHCG 245 at 10dp5dt of a little 3BC blastocyst... Grin

Mischali · 17/02/2020 15:41

Yeeeyyyy @DobbieFreeElf! Great news!! Xx

Lily999 · 17/02/2020 15:50

@DobbieFreeElf congratulations, this thread is magic for sure!!!! 245 is wonderful, come on pop over to the graduate thread :)

CupcakeEater · 17/02/2020 16:18

Hi everyone, is it okay if I join? I am usually more of a lurker than a poster but wanted to come along and say hi and hopefully catch some of the good luck from this thread! Congrats to all those with BFPs so far and fingers crossed for those still waiting to test.

I had my 5 day transfer this afternoon and OTD is 29/02.

I had my first IVF back in October which resulted in a total failed fertilisation so it's feeling good to atleast be in the running this time.

Parkandride · 17/02/2020 16:46

Yessss Dobbie! Fantastic news Grin
Good to hear a BC can do well, I think I've got a BB in right now and BC still frozen but I can't quite remember

Welcome @cupcake

Minster2012 · 17/02/2020 16:47

Wooooooooooooooooopppppp @DobbieFreeElf that’s such good news!! I have no idea what the numbers mean 😂😂

Fingers crossed the magic can continue 🤞🏻🤞🏻🙈

Viletta · 17/02/2020 18:12

@DobbieFreeElf congratulations!!! Amazing news!

DobbieFreeElf · 17/02/2020 18:43

Thanks everyone! We’re very happy! I still don’t feel anything so for anyone worrying about the lack of symptoms it’s not necessarily a bad thing.

This for me is the start of the terrifying bit, having had a couple of miscarriages in the past I’m not sure I will be able to relax and enjoy it x

FlapJackered · 17/02/2020 20:23

Huge congratulations @DobbieFreeElf !! 🎉 I thought you would be testing soon so I was keeping and eye on the threads! So happy for you!
I know what you mean about MCs making it harder to relax and celebrate yet but hopefully it won't be too long a wait until your scan which should be reassuring.
See you on the graduates thread! 😁 X

Mischali · 18/02/2020 05:22

@DobbieFreeElf are you getting repeat betas? Really hoping for the best & that your history of mc doesn’t continue 🤞🏻

Mischali · 18/02/2020 05:26

So as you all know I’m testing early... tested this morning 2dp5dt to start seeing the trigger fade and lo and behold the trigger is gone. 9 days past ovidrel 250. So now I’m debating whether I should start testing for real on Thursday (4dp5dt/ 9dpo) or Friday (5dp5dt the day I got a bfp with my son). The blast was already hatching when transferred so I’m sure that by Sunday at least I will know one way or another.
