@BambiOnIce80 I meant 11dp3dt

Sweets208 · 07/02/2020 17:28

@QuantumGirl thank you so much for your suggestions and for trying to talk me down. Your suggestions are of course perfectly rational. I'm just completely out of my damn mind at the moment. All jokes aside, there isn't really anything that I can do is there except google for hours upon hours about HCG levels.

Minster2012 · 07/02/2020 17:36

@Sweets208 that must be really hard - I can’t comment on the hcg levels, our clinic only do the home test and that’s it, but only take the result after the full TWW from the stick they give you then book you for a scan. No blood test. So Monday would be their 14 days for you so if I were you I’d get a pregnancy test & test Sunday & Monday too- first wee.
The other thing I can say is that our son was a day 3 embryo, they didn’t tell us grading as they were always going to freeze & transfer at day 3 as they said it would always do better in a womb than in a dish! - we have a VERY lively 18 month old.
So your “poor embryos” are absolutely in the best place & it seems like at least one has stuck so try to focus on that lovely xxx

seven201 · 07/02/2020 17:46

@DobbieFreeElf I remember you from the clomid threads! Sorry to see you here too. Congrats on the transfer.

@Minster2012 I've seen you on other threads. Congrats on the transfer.

seven201 · 07/02/2020 17:53

@Sweets208 oh that is rubbish that you're in limbo. For what it's worth I'd buy a pregnancy test for the morning. My clinic don't do blood tests at all. Put your pjs on and rent a feel good film.

DobbieFreeElf · 07/02/2020 18:07

@Sweets208 could it be because it was a 3 day transfer and it could have taken an extra day to implant? HCG doubles every couple of days. My thoughts are that with natural conception implantation can take place anywhere between 6-10days, maybe your day 3 embryo just took an extra day getting by stuck in?

DobbieFreeElf · 07/02/2020 18:11

Hi @seven201, yes I’ve noticed a few familiar names around here too! Seems clomid was probably just a waste of time, when my husband gave his sample last week it was only 2million (preciously it was low but not of enough to be of concern) so we ended up having ICSI 🤷🏻‍♀️

duckling3 · 07/02/2020 18:59

@sweets, sorry to hear youre still stuck in limbo, fingers crossed for some positive news monday. The definately think the waiting is the first part.

For those who are further ahead , did you feel anything in the first couple of days post transfer? I wish there was a little window so you could see what has going on in there. Feeling nothing so got no idea if anything is happening or not.

seven201 · 07/02/2020 19:25

@DobbieFreeElf yep, I feel like I wasted the last two years!

@duckling3 I wish there was a window too. I'm two days post transfer and have felt absolutely zilch.

DobbieFreeElf · 07/02/2020 19:29

I’ve had a stinking cold since weds, I asked if I could “sneeze it out”!

notReginaPhalange · 07/02/2020 19:30

@Sweets208 so sorry to hear you are still in a lot of uncertainty. As if you didn't have enough of it! Just treat yourself as nice as you can. When I feel tired of uncertainty I act as if I'm status-quo, i.e. not pregnant, and feel better again, at least there is some certainty... Better than thinking am pregnant? am I not? It drives me nuts. I prefer to think I'm not pregnant unless I have clear evidence that I am...

Stace999 · 07/02/2020 20:40

Hey all I've been mega busy with work which is a blessing for a change! Been sneaking a read of this forum when I can though. I'm 4dp5dt today OTD is 16th Feb I won't be testing early I understand why people do, however I tested 2 days early on my 1st ever cycle (this is our 6th round of fertility treatment.. Long story!) and got a BFP tested the next day and still BFP but not as dark, OTD and I'm not kidding you was a stark BFN you can imagine the heartache! I don't know to this day whether it was leftover HCG from the trigger or an early chemical but either way I never want to go through that again!
My only thing to report at the moment that's new is a lot of watery CM like enough to need to change a panty liner (have to wear one due to pessary gunk, the glamour!) not sure why that's happening who knows!

rainbow178 · 07/02/2020 21:01

@Sweets208 I would echo what @Minster2012 said- I find the waiting SO hard in this process, waiting to start, waiting to stimulate, waiting for collection etc etc. I am testing a week today so I am trying to plan in lots of things (coffee/film/meals/walks) to take my mind off the constant guessing and worrying. Don't google too much, it's your body and google will tell you both sides of the story and Only worry you more. X

Minster2012 · 07/02/2020 22:14

@Sweets208 in theory I suppose my embryo isn’t that great quality at 4CB 😔just had a small tearful moment about it but can’t go anything it’s got a chance

Viletta · 07/02/2020 22:22

@rainbow178 hope it's going to be a bfp and then it'll be waiting for scans!

Lily999 · 08/02/2020 08:30

Good morning ladies! Anyone around 5dp5dt are you eating more? I'm constantly hungry, it's driving me crazy.

@Sarab2020 did you do a test this morning?

DobbieFreeElf · 08/02/2020 12:25

@Minster2012 I was pretty gutted with my 3bc yesterday, but as everyone keeps saying to me, it’s still got a good chance.

@Lily999 to be honest I think I’m always hungry!

I’ve just found out from the clinic that we have 2 more going to the freezer, a 5AA and a 5CB... which they were around yesterday for transfer but at least we’ve got these two joining our other 3BC on ice!

Minster2012 · 08/02/2020 12:29

@dobbieFreeElf that’s great you’ve got more going into the freezer! So you had a 3bc transfer? I think they all have a chance really
🤞🏻🤞🏻

seven201 · 08/02/2020 12:42

@DobbieFreeElf oh wow another 2! That's great to have three in the freezer. I had one in the freezer then a late addition on day 6. How many did you have collected and then fertilised? Just being nosey as 4 is an impressive amount I think?

How does your clinic grade them then?

Mine grade 1/1, 1/2 etc with 1/1 being the best.

DobbieFreeElf · 08/02/2020 13:32

@Minster2012 yes one 3BC on board. I was disappointed yesterday but I’ve just told myself that today’s 5AA wasn’t even good enough to transfer yesterday so that little 3BC could be even better by now! Well that’s what I’m telling myself anyway!

@seven201 I had 8 eggs collected, 7 fertilised. On day 3 the embryos were rated: 3 at grade 1, 3 at grade 2 and 1 was grade 3 (on the 1-4 scale, 1 being best). Of those 4 made it to blastocyst: 1 was transferred and 3 were frozen.

Someone helpfully sent me this link when I was learning about how they were graded: www.bournhall.co.uk/fertilityblog/embryo-grading/

Quite honestly, I wish I wasn’t told the grade yesterday, I’m all for the placebo effect and would have been happier to have been told it was good! They did say they wouldn’t transfer anything that didn’t have a chance of developing to pregnancy though so that was somewhat reassuring!

duckling3 · 08/02/2020 13:40

@lilly999 I've not had the hungry thing. Definately got the munchies but it's definitely emotional eating😊

One thing I have noticed today is really dry skin on my chin, very strange for me so am assuming it's a side effect from the progesterone... Who knows.

BambiOnIce80 · 08/02/2020 14:31

Just jumping back on to say hi ladies 👋 Is anybody testing soon?x

@duckling3 I had the exact same thing with the dry chin skin! Still bloody have, although a lot more under control after introducing serum under my moisturiser (tip 😉). Annoying thing is that my legs and hands are now dry too - never been a problem before! 🤷‍♀️ Hope it's a good sign for you too 🤞🍀

Minster2012 · 08/02/2020 15:34

That’s a very good point @DobbieFreeElf, the one that’s now a 5AA was weaker before.

We didn’t know what grading our 3day one that was put back before & is now our DS was so I would have kinda preferred it that way, I didn’t ask was told straight away!!
Anyway.

I’ve got my first big “non drinking hurdle” this evening. I’m driving so that’s easier but there is a “celebration toast” but I can kinda have a tiny bit in a glass that I can easily put down & “lose” or DH will accidentally pick up my glass & drink. It would be unusual for me not to be involved in a toast even driving. 🙄

seven201 · 08/02/2020 17:11

@DobbieFreeElf that's impressive numbers I think. Thanks for the link.

seven201 · 08/02/2020 17:26

What's everyone doing diet wise in the two week wait? My doctor said as I have pco I shouldn't eat white carbs, sugar at all when ttc. I tried that at first but just cut them down instead as after two weeks as I was miserable and never knew what to cook for dinner! I'm going out for dinner tonight and am tempted to eat a bit of Turkish bread tonight but worried I'll feel hugely guilty. I'm 3 days after transfer. What advice have you been given by your clinic?

Also, how many days have you been told to wait to do a pregnancy test? I've been told 13 days with a 5 day embryo. But that's a tuesday, would the Sunday be too early. I don't want a false positive because of ivf drugs still being in my system but I'd rather it not be on a work day.
