Chooklass · 03/02/2020 12:51

Congratulations @Lily999 and happy TWW Day to you!! 🎉🥳🎉🥳

rainbow178 · 03/02/2020 13:27

@Lily999 that's amazing, congrats! Rest up now!

I have SO been suffering with bloating/gas/pain @BambiOnIce80 @Chooklass - I don't remember it being this bad before!!! I guess it means my lining is nice and thick and comfy though!

lilybelle123 · 03/02/2020 14:21

First cycle of IVF this month - just had first day 8 scan, and on course to have one more scan Wednesday and EC Friday.

I was wondering how many follicles they should see by this point? The scanning lady counted 16 (but they weren't all the same size...) - I don't know why, but I thought there'd be more than that at this stage?

Parkandride · 03/02/2020 15:32

@lilybelle123 I think I had about 15 and ended up getting that many eggs. Quality not quantity as we say over and over and over again!

Congrats to those who are PUPO!

Had my scan this morning, first once since starting FET prep. Lining at 7.8mm so all booked in for a week's time. Bloods taken to check progesterone, start pessaries on Wednesday not looking forward to that! Accupuncture booked for morning of and 3 days post transfer, hope all this works

Supplement wise I kept taking my cq10 as I'd heard it's good for lining, plus the gummies are delicious and the bottle was expensive Grin will stop at transfer, still take a prenatal plus vit D and C

Stace999 · 03/02/2020 15:52

Fantastic news @Lily999 positive thoughts heading your way.
Not so good here we only had 2 in the end. Both blastocyst but both slow and not hatched they were going to put 1 in and give the other a day to see if good enough to freeze but was unlikely to make it. So we had both put in. Feeling pretty deflated after the initial good news but we just have to hope one of them picks up and makes it.

lilybelle123 · 03/02/2020 15:59

Thanks so much @Parkandride !

Fingers crossed.... clinic called and they're looking like they'll be moving the EC forward to Thursday at this rate - exciting but nervous too!

Do you do acupuncture around EC too or just transfer?

Minster2012 · 03/02/2020 16:15

Welcome @Parkandride and I’m so jealous of your lining!! 😂😂how silly is that!! After 3 weeks of meds mine was still only 6.8mm which was meant to be the week before FET so added another week 😔it’s now this Friday no idea how it’s doing now 🤷‍♀️Hope for plumper!!

Minster2012 · 03/02/2020 16:23

@Stace999 try not to be deflated, both of them could think “ooo this is great in here“ & hatch straight out & nestle in nicely & get twins 🥰

Stace999 · 03/02/2020 16:49

Thanks @Minster2012 they have done assisted hatching to try and help them, they may just be slow. Just gutted not to have any to freeze so no spares. Prepared for the worst hoping for the best.

rainbow178 · 03/02/2020 18:04

Just back from ET-only put one in in the end but have 2 suitable for freezing so am happy! They said there was some slow ones as well that might suitable for freezing, they will check in the morning. Excited and feel weird! No different but it feels weird!! Congrats to all who transferred today! @Stace999 try not to worry, you never know, they might get comfy 👍

huffleclaw · 03/02/2020 19:26

Congrats to everyone who has their little embryos on board!

You may well end up with twins @Stace999!!! This process is such a rollercoaster though isn't it?!

We have gone from happy with 16 eggs, then upset/disappointment that only two fertilised and now really pleased that both our little embryos have been frozen today - a 3BB and a 4BB. The embryologist on the phone was pleased and said it was positive!

Great news that you have a frostie @Lily999 and really good quality embryos too!

Fab about your little Frosties too @rainbow178 !!

Welcome @lilybelle123 this is a great group! Very helpful and I think has calmed all of us down from potential panics on lots of occasions! I have Accupunture weekly and my therapist recommended a session the day before EC, it's meant to help your womb cope better with the procedure. No idea if it was just coincidence but I seemed to have an easier time of it in recovery than the others.

Stace999 · 03/02/2020 19:43

Thanks @huffleclaw it's not likely but stranger things have happened I guess!

Nmvasey · 03/02/2020 21:18

Girls have you been taking Q10 as well as the usual conception type vitamin? My consultant said not to take both but I think quite a lot of you people do? 🤷‍♀️ I’m only taking 1 x 100mg soft gel

Chooklass · 03/02/2020 21:30

I have been taking both @Nmvasey - did they say why not to? Think lots of folk do!

OP posts:
Nmvasey · 03/02/2020 21:34

He didn’t really say to be honest @chooklass I’m going to take both - my little eggs need some help this time around so will try anything

FlapJackered · 04/02/2020 04:16

Congratulations @huffleclaw on the 2 Frosties, that is great news! 👏🏻

And to you @rainbow178 ! That is a great result! 🤞🤞

@Nmvasey I took both too, and I took 200mg a day of coq10.

BambiOnIce80 · 04/02/2020 08:02

@Nmvasey I did the same as @FlapJackered @Chooklass and took the standard conception support vit and 200mg CoQ10, but also 25ug vit D3 and 1000mg of omega 3 fish oil.x

Lily999 · 04/02/2020 09:18

Good morning! I hae just posted on the 2WW thread, so excited to enter this phase :)
Great news on your frosties and being PUPO @rainbow178 and @Stace999 as the others said having day 5embies in is great, plus it's probably for the best they couldn't grade them as you would have ended up on Dr Google spending the entire ride home researching that is just silly (I totally know "someone" who did that and felt super foolish afterwards ;) ).
When we got home I fell asleed soon after and the next thing I remember is that Monday is gone :) Probably all the stress and relief just made me sleep it off and I felt like a new person after.
Must admit at this point I am just simply happy we don't have to drive 3hours to attend appointments and don't have to inject myself, it feels amazing.
The only thing that's killing me it the lack of coffee. I honestly have no idea how am I going to last without it...

@huffleclaw it's great you could freeze both of them do you know when can you welcome them back?

@Nmvasey how are you? Did they say why they are advising you against Q10? I remember It starts with the egg (a book I didn't particularly like - I know I am the bad guy now), it said there are certain cases it is not recommended.

I have been taking folic acid and the TTC vitamins (it is a German product called Elevit and for some reason I decided to trust this one), at first I took Pregnacare but it turned my pee into fluorescent yellos so kinda didn't like that haha. Plus I have been taking 200mg Q10 up until EC, then I stopped.

I made hubby take the same 200mg Q10 plus Profertile for 3monts that costs a fortune, but anything for the kids, right? :)

Stace999 · 04/02/2020 10:36

@Lily999 thank you, apparently they had both looked pretty rubbish Sunday but by Monday morning had picked up so guess that's a good thing. Just didn't see it worth the risk of losing one if it wasn't good enough to freeze as my clinic will only freeze top embryos. I've definitely not been googling studies on slow growing embryos and success/failure stories...why do we do it to ourselves!!
It is nice not to have to think about the next scan and juggle work!

Lily999 · 04/02/2020 11:35

@stace999 what does it mean looked rubbish? Did they tell you how many cells they have got or whether they formed a morula? Anything at all?
I would have done the same and asked for both of them to be put back 100% you made the right call. We were showed a video about the embryos developing from day 1, as the camera takes a picture every 15minutes, it was something truly amazing to experience. You still have day 5 embryos in there I think yo have plenty to be grateful for, I trust at least one of them will be a sticky one!
