First thread is filling up fast so I thought I'd get a new one ready so we can keep on supporting each other through this crazy journey! Will post a link in old thread 😊xx

Thank you girls, not really to compare, but to know what to expect roughly. So they will check the lining and the number and size of follicles then. Yes, I am on short protocol and on quite a low dose of stimulation so not really expecting much to be honest. Not feeling anything different than any other cycle so trying to manage my expectations :)

@rainbow178 I'm also having my first scan tomorrow, but I'm only on day 5 of stims today, not having any symptoms at all.
Big day tomorrow for both of us and @Chooklass is having EC how exciting!

@Lily999 when I did a short protocol with 150 meds, I did ask what my folicols should be doing and the dr said they should grow about 2mm a day, so this may give u an insight when you know where you are tomorrow

Hi! I had egg collection today and they got 12 eggs. Will call me tomorrow to let me know what's gone on they said.

It was ok if I'm honest. Apart from the end, I must have fallen asleep because one minute the medicine was being put down the cannula and the next, I came round to the nurse rubbing my arm and it really hurting. Apparently the doctor drained an endometrioma at the same time.

It's hurting now, like bad period cramps plus bloating. Hopefully it settles down with painkillers overnight.

Well done @Pinkstars2501 ! I've got mine tomorrow! Really nervous now 😬, but my op is first at 9am so at least I won't have to wait around long. I have an endometrial cyst on my left ovary which they said they will try their best to avoid but I'm on extra antibiotics (since yesterday) for a week just in case.

I'm knitting a hat to try and calm my nerves!

@Chooklass it won't let me tag you properly for some reason.... To be honest if it wasn't for the cyst, I honestly never would have felt a thing! It's fine. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep lol.

There's a surprising amount of knitting that goes on in the Simpsons waiting room @Chooklass ! 🧶😂 I know it's easy to say don't worry, but the team in there really are excellent at looking after us. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Congratulations on your excellent haul @Pinkstars2501 ! 🤩 I had exactly the same after effects and I found paracetamol and plenty of water/hot herbal tea worked wonders 👍

Yes @BambiOnIce80 ! There was another girl knitting last time I was in! 🧶 It really helps me with nerves (or the boredom of waiting!). Weirdly my ovaries have hardly been sore at all today. I'm having last minute panic that my eggs have eloped! 😂

@Lily999 I called clinic back and they will give me an update Thursday but they said it need to reach blastocyst stage which will be day 5/6 which is sat/sun before they can freeze so there wouldn’t be much more to tell me. I thought day 1 would be EC day but obviously not.

Morning All

So I had my final ish scan and whilst everything is growing nicely my broken body made the decision to start collecting fluid in a random cavity 😢 so whilst they will do EC on Friday it will be a frozen ET next month. I feel somewhat happy and sad

@Sabz36 sorry it's not the news you were hoping for. I was devastated when told we had to have a freeze all cycle due to OHSS. Looking back now having had FET yesterday, I feel so much better mentally and physically than I did at point of EC (even though I thought I was doing well at the point of EC). I'm hoping feeling better in all ways will give this transfer a better chance of success. And I hope the same for you, that in a week or so once the sadness of not going forward straight away softens that you'll feel stronger. And then when you get to FET you'll be in the best possible positon for success. Big hugs to you. Xxx

Had egg collection yesterday and they got 15, of which 9 have fertilised. So now need to wait until Sunday to see how many they can freeze!

I don't remember a thing from EC although I was in quite a bit of pain yesterday (they said this was probably down to the mild OHSS symptoms!) Feeling a bit better today though.

@Sabz36 I found out on Sunday I have to do a freeze all so I know exactly how you feel 😢 it's so disappointing when you feel like you're getting somewhere finally. At least there is some time to get your body back to normal (that's what I'm telling myself anyway!)

@Sabz36 sorry to hear that, they almost cancelled mine for the same reason but then the fluid disappeared. Although it's not what you want, I hear FETs have a better success rate though.

Good luck with EC @chooklass hope you get a good number.

@FlapJackered - they usually recommend no makeup or painted nails and cut out anything that is fragranced. I used my usual body wash in the shower and then my facial moisturiser and that was all.
Embryos are sensitive to the chemicals found in fragrances.

I'm sorry for the disappointment @Sabz36, it's such a frustratingly unpredictable journey. The chance of success are meant to be better with a FET, so it may be a good thing for you after all.

I'm trying to relax and not read much into every cramp and twinge.
Not sure what to do about work tomorrow. They have said I can take tomorrow too. Am I daft to rush back to stressful role when first few days after transfer are crucial stages for implantation or is just getting on with normality best. Any thoughts ladies?

@Bestofyou1982 I took the day off after ET and then went back the day after that. To be honest, I've found work a well needed distraction (even though it's a stressful distraction!). You need to do whatever feels right for you.x

Still pretty woozy but have had my sandwich and a biscuit @BambiOnIce80 ! Embryologist just popped in to say they can do 6 with IVF and 5 with ICSI - similar to you 👍.

@Bestofyou1982 hi 👋🏻. Not too bad really, paracetamol is working so I'm ok.
Clinic just called to say of the 12 eggs, 8 fertilised! Unsure on quality but they'll update tomorrow.

They said yesterday that they've provisionally booked us for ET Friday but will see how they develop. If it's later than Sunday then I'll be taking the day after off work. I don't think there's any real reason to, but want to be sure I've done my best by the embryo.

Awwwww, that's fantastic news @Chooklass! 😍 I'm soooo glad we did it that way - can you imagine if we did all IVF and then it turned out to be an egg permeability issue?! 😩 That would be one bloody expensive investigation! 💸😭
