IVF in Feb/March 2020?

Hello! I'm just wondering whether there are others starting their IVF journey in Feb/March 2020.

I am dealing with secondary infertility (male factor) and we have been TTC#2 for 16 months. We conceived naturally by some miracle back in July, but sadly had an early miscarriage (my third in total). We're now waiting to start ICSI IVF in early February.

Would love to hear from others doing the same. x

Hey @luby89k good luck with EC. It's surprising how quickly you get used to the needles, don't stress about them. I went to the doc the other week and she said she was going to take blood - I just automatically stuck my arm out, it was only after I left after having two vials of blood taken I thought "what was that for??" IVF = human pin cushion!

@spacegirl123 thankyou. I'm fine with getting my bloods taken I just don't look. But because i have to look to actually do it, i started to panic and wobble 🤣 I can't even look during acupuncture. what am i like. Hopefully we will all have the positive results we want :)

Thanks for the reassurance @Autumn1985 and @41trying . I have been DR for 9 days and so far have had no real side effects except for being tired. I think this combined with the very normal period is what made me wonder wether or not it was actually working. I have been off work this week so perhaps I will notice the tiredness more when I go back tomorrow. I will have been DR for 2.5 weeks on my next scan so sounds about right.

@luby89k well done for injecting without fainting. 💪 i am DR with the nasal spray so I have yet to inject. I'm not looking forward to it! I used to faint at everything but the past 12 months of scans, many blood tests and a laparoscopy seems to have cured me. I thought I'd be getting my DH to inject but I think I'm going to try and do it myself. See if I can manage not to faint too! Are you doing it in your tummy or leg?

@SpyroC i didn't have a choice for nasal spray so when i start stims i'll be on two injections. I also didn't have a choice on area they just said stomach 🤷🏼‍♀️ i thought after all the needles and tests iv had, i would be fine. Turns out not so much haha. Hopefully i'll be better tomorrow. My DH might be able to inject afew but he's away next week so i need to get used to it.

@SpyroC I'm on d6 DR so hoping for AF tomorrow or Tuesday to stay on track..
Fist time Sat for acupuncture, I found it relaxing and I'm booked in for a few more.
I have to call clinic d1 of AF do they can book my DR scan 5-7 days later, this is when I think it really kicks off.

@41trying Fingers crosses for AF. I love acupuncture. I've been having it afew weeks now and it's defo made a difference. My AF pains that i usually get extremely bad were mild and it could have only been the acupuncture so i'm hopeful! xxx

@luby89k that makes me feel better. Normally have a very light cramp for only 5 mins a day or so before, so I know she is on her way so to speak, which I think I am lucky got compares to a lot of people which has always been the case. I've not has anything yet, do maybe acupuncture took it all away Haha.

@luby89k you are very brave even managing to inject yourself. My husband has to do mine...I just cannot bring myself to do it so well done you.

I had an update and 2 of the 3 embryos are going strong on day 3 so full steam ahead for a transfer on Wednesday. Hopefully we will have a strong blasto and who knows...might even have a back up to freeze.

The embryologist called to say all 5 of our embryos are still progressing well today (day 3) - transfer on Wednesday.

Lots of us lined up at similar times to support each other over the TWW!

@SpyroC I had very few symptoms at DR other than feeling "a bit off". AF was normal other than a bit of light spotting at the end. Many ppl get no symptoms so please don't worry 😊

Rollercoaster day for me today! At Friday's scan I was feeling crappy so they did bloods each day over the weekend. (I feel fine now.) Scan today showed 23 follicles - 7 over 18mm, 7 between 12-18mm and another 9

@Hatawa83 Yes really feeling it in my left ovary now! Can't wait to be able to move properly again! How long did it take for you to feel "normal" after yours?

@chatwithme thank you 😊 Yes excited and a bit nervous! For 2 weeks I've felt a bit inadequate because of the lack of progression, so I really hope my eggs "perform well" at this next stage 🤞 I hope yours starts soon...this process teaches us so much patience!!

Im reading all of your positive progress with a bit of envy! A frustrating day here. Still not responding properly so onto day 12 and 13 of stims. There is a risk of cancellation at this point. I’m frustrated as I feel I’m just not responding to Gonal F. I responded so well to Meriofert last autumn, life feels very unfair.

@PineappleC I was a bit sore after EC but the next day totally fine! Good luck Hun! Hope you get lots of quality embies.

Not great news my end either - had first scan this morning but estrogen levels have come back really really low - they've said not to start stims today and to have another scan and blood test on Wednesday to see what's happening but likely that they will need to cancel this one and start again next month x

@Youngatheart00 I know it's really easy for me to say this now but I was feeling exactly the same this time 5 days ago when (after 12 days on stims) I only had a few above 10mm. I had loads of growth this last 3 days which makes me think that everyone just gets a surge at different times. So still lots of hope yet and I really hope you have better news at the next scan 🤞xx

@luby89k from what others of said, you get used to it pretty quickly so I hope today was better for you!

@41trying I looked at reflexology but there's not much going on by me. I'd have to travel and traveling to the clinic is a pain as it is. Trash TV will have to be my relaxation! I hope AF turns up soon x

Lots of ups and downs today. Says it all about this process doesn't it. I have been watching the tww thread to help prepare. There has been so many lucky ladies on there. Let's hope it's a time of year thing! Xx

Had a failed cycle last month and didn't get to egg collection as didn't have enough follicles so decided to hold off and restart.

Started injections again on Friday and just waiting for my next scan on Wednesday. This time round I've been started on a different FSH (meriofet) and on a higher dose so fingers crossed all goes to plan!

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted that’s a real pain about your blood tests, sorry to hear that. I don’t recall having my bloods done at all on this cycle other than initial AMH
