IVF in Feb/March 2020?

Hello! I'm just wondering whether there are others starting their IVF journey in Feb/March 2020.

I am dealing with secondary infertility (male factor) and we have been TTC#2 for 16 months. We conceived naturally by some miracle back in July, but sadly had an early miscarriage (my third in total). We're now waiting to start ICSI IVF in early February.

Would love to hear from others doing the same. x

Yeah cuz 11 years later I’ve still not conceived naturally and only had my daughter because we persisted through 7 years of hellish infertility treatments! Grrrrrr

My relationship with my mother hasn't really recovered since she told me that maybe if I had gone to church more I'd not have lost so many babies (I wasn't raised in a very religious household)

I get the "relax and it will happen" bull shit too - except I've got no tubes left so it would be the bloody immaculate conception if it did get pregnant naturally!

Wow! That's downright mean. Religion is a mixed bag. I'm agnostic and I believe in science so to me that kinda talk is fully fictional. Tbh you're a saint if you haven't gone 100% no contact! I feel for you itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted

Hi girls, just had my cycle cancelled as I’ve a bad viral infection. Hoping to go again in a month so I’m going to try log off and switch off and get better.

@CarbsAndCheese I felt similar to you on letrozole. I'm day 6 of DR and no real side effects so far. Apart from my boobs are a bit soar but they always are at this point in a normal cycle. I had a really tiny bit of spotting this morning but nothing since.

I'm generally quiet open about things. Just not exact dates as I wouldn't like the pressure of having to tell everyone the outcome. Being able to talk about it helps me cope. There's just a few gossips and insensitive people I've not told. @ChatWithMe the "you need to relax" advice does wind me up. I have told the couple I've heard this from why it's not helpful and tbf they've taken it on board. Most of us likely started the ttc process in the exact same way as the fertile crew-it's not like we knew we were infertile and were therefore not relaxed 🙄.

Evening all, girls on DR injections are you or planning to inject morning or evening?
Reason for me asking is last time I took them in the evening and seem to have more late evening hot flushes, then not able to get to sleep then up too early. This time oy Couple of days in I have decided to take them in the morning, but a little warm throughout the day, but drinking more water helps and I have seemed to have had ok sleep, which I hope continues. I know each cycle can be different but I hope changing to the morning has helped

@Fredsgirl19 we are on the same timings. I triggered 11pm and collection booked for tomorrow morning. I have demanded another scan this evening though, because we had only 6 follicles growing we want reassurance that it’s worth doing the EC. Fingers crossed.

Hi ladies. Hoping to join... jumping over from another thread ready for round 2 starting 2nd March. My first round failed due to sub optimal stimulation. I got 6 eggs but only 2 were mature and neither fertilised 😢 was quite disheartening not to get to transfer, hoping for 2nd time lucky. Hope you’re all doing well 👋 and I’ll try catch up with your progress.

Looks like I've started spotting today so cycle day 1 will most likely be tomorrow - good timing as working from Home today waiting in for my final drugs delivery. Feeling a bit strange about this next one knowing this will be our last ever egg collection x

@41trying I'm DR using a nasal spray which is morning and evening. It's interesting what you say about less side effects from morning injections. I wonder if the same is true for stims 🤔. I'm useless in the mornings though so I'll probs just have to go for evenings.

Speaking of stims, I'm on a high dose and I think it'll take 2-3 injections. Are they likely to be all at once? It'll be explained at my next scan, I'm just curious.

Welcome @Nmvasey . I'm sorry you last round failed. My afc was 8 so am expecting to get a similar number of eggs to what you did. My DR scan is 3/3 so if your SP we will be in similar timings.

Thanks very much everyone 😊 I guess it's the uncertainty that's getting to me. I do feel very lucky that we're able to go through this process, and that at least we have a hope of getting some eggs, but just gutted that things aren't going well atm (basically i think my patience is finally running out!. Anyway, hopefully the 2.5 x dose I'm now on will help!🤞🤞

@natalie62663 I couldn't resist and I took a test 😩😩

When I waited the 3 minutes, under a torch and squinting I thought I could make out the faintest of lines. Now 2 hours later I can see a very faint line without a torch. BUT it's way past the 3 minute mark, and this is exactly what happened when I tested 2 days early the first round and got 2 false positives.

I'm not taking it as a positive or negative.... Why didn't I wait 😂😂😂

Morning all, I'm waiting for a phone call from our clinic this morning to determine whether we will be doing a D3 (today) or D5 transfer. Will be good to get an update on how our bundle of cells have grown since Tuesday morning. Hoping for a D5 transfer, so keeping everything crossed x

Sorry to hear that Fingersforevercrossed. I hope it's just cause you're testing early. It was only a few months ago I googled evaporation lines. Those testing strips can be a double edge sword. Test again Saturday to be sure. Fingers crossed x

@41trying my stims drugs got upped mid way through so this time I’m starting from the higher dose. Basically they said when the upped my meds in cycle one it prompts growth in what intel existing follicles whereas starting the higher dose from the offset in theory should foster more follicles. He didn’t want to change too much as it could fail for an entirely different reason and it would be difficult to establish what caused the issue. How are you getting on?

@SpyroC I’m on LP unfortunately. Was hoping they’d suggest SP but they still think long is the way to go for me.

@Nmvasey. Well it sounds promising at least they are trying something. I am also LP and starting higher.
Where are you in cycle now?
@SpyroC higher dose doesn't necessarily means more per day. I will have highest and I will just take more into the vial, but this will depend what meds your on.
