Hi all

There was already a thread for people cycling in October that i wanted to join but canny find it anywhere.

Im about to do my 6th (jeez) cycle of ICSI.
I already have a 4 year old DS from cycle number 4 and we decided we would try for a sibling.

Im currently just about to ovulate (getting the flashy smiley face on OPK) then i will start stimming on my next period at the start of October.

I had an awful cycle last November (my 5th) where i only got 2 mature eggs and non fertilised. This was because the wrong dose of drugs were given at the start of stimming.
So, with this slightly in the back of my mind, im still optimistic for a better cycle this time

@Dusky7 when do you test?

Officially Thursday but think I'm just going to do it tomorrow, the thought of it makes me feel so sick! The pains on Sunday were just like AF ones, nothing like the others I've had, damn med side effects too!!

It's horrible isn't it. I'm usually OK waiting the first week, then come the 2nd I'm itching to do one! Well good luck! I'll be looking out for your thread 🤞

@fool11 are you meaning next Thursday and friday? You might get a false positive if you do it this week because of the trigger shot

Yes, meant next Thursday, 21st, clinic said to do on 22nd, thanks.

I'm planning for Wednesday 20th. DH is away if I wait for our clinic recommended day. And I really don't want to do that alone

@Mseddy mines the 20th too. Not had any symptoms apart from cramps after the ET and left sided ovary pain which I had the last time it didn't work.

Ohhh not long for more results, I'm really hoping it works out for you all, the wait is so hard!

Had my first day back at work, nearly 300 emails to sort out, argh! But could've been worse, luckily my clinic had been blocked so it gave me a bit more time to catch up. Feeling quite tired now but I guess that's normal :-)

@LucyLucyT well done for going straight back at it! Definitely helps taking your mind of it. Tiredness definitely, you will sleep tonight! Have you been experiencing any mild abdo pain?

@Bailey2017 if anything my abdo pain is a bit better at the mo. Think my ovaries are still on the big side, sometimes when I twist funny or laugh when lying down it can be quite painful. Since the abdo swelling reduced it's got a lot easier, only other problem is that lovely side effect of progesterone.... constipation 🙈 that is definitely tricky just now!

@LucyLucyT get yourself some fybogel works wonders I was constipated after egg collection for a few days but since taking that I've been better then normal! Just abit swollen still, and the odd twinge here and there. And I can't stop googling! I'm so bad!!! 😂

@Bailey2017 - I'll bear that in mind, I've been using senna but just switched to lactulose so will see how that goes.
I'm also terrible for googling... Every symptom, trying to find other people who got similar things and got BFP, it's hard not to! Glad you aren't getting symptoms that are too bad at least.

Another bfn for me :( I actually had some PMA yesterday, really felt I was having some symptoms, just side effects from the meds obviously.

I had the worst headache this morning! Had to take some paracetamol. Luckily its gone.

So they numbers are doubling. Still getting another beta on Friday. So I guess this rules out a chemical pregnancy? But not an ectopic yet? I know everyone says that you can bleed throughout, but imagine your worst period and that's how heavy it is. With full on cramps
Add to that the fact that I've had such bad results in the previous 2 cycles, I am ever cautious. But yes, I am feeling happy with the results so far. It's just so foreign and cant really believe I'm pregnant....or cant LET myself believe. One of the two.

@Violet180 that's amazing news!! Massive congratulations 🎉 I'm sure you would know by now if it was an ectopic! I'm sure it will start to sink in when u start showing! Weird how you bled though, just comes to show, anything can happen. Least we're aware of what can happen and you can still be pregnant.

@Bailey2017 Yeah it kind of shows that as much as we try to analyse all this stuff, that we will never really know until the medical tests. Thanks so much for the congratulations.

@LucyLucyT thank you. Do you have your first scan booked? When is it for?

@Violet180 my scan is Dec 2nd, have they booked yours in? My clinic do it at 8 weeks, I know others do it earlier.

How are you all feeling? I think I’m getting a cold..might b a silly question but would you take paracetamol? I know it’s ok to take during pregnancy but is it ok so early after ET?

Hi @fool11 your absolutely fine taking paracetamol. I had a couple yesterday as I had a really bad headache. Hope your feeling OK.

@LucyLucyT my scan is on the 2nd as well! Would be my 7 week scan.

@fool11 yeah I took paracetamol during 2ww

Thanks @Bailey2017...i think the ivf made me constantly questioning everything /myself..worried about the precious cargo on board :)
