Hi all

There was already a thread for people cycling in October that i wanted to join but canny find it anywhere.

Im about to do my 6th (jeez) cycle of ICSI.
I already have a 4 year old DS from cycle number 4 and we decided we would try for a sibling.

Im currently just about to ovulate (getting the flashy smiley face on OPK) then i will start stimming on my next period at the start of October.

I had an awful cycle last November (my 5th) where i only got 2 mature eggs and non fertilised. This was because the wrong dose of drugs were given at the start of stimming.
So, with this slightly in the back of my mind, im still optimistic for a better cycle this time Smile

The TWW is so hard, it's too easy to read into every little thing! But I do hope they are good signs :-)
Are you okay with being furloughed? Better than being laid off I guess.

@fool11 I know what you mean about working from home, I'm finding it exhausting, I don't stop or change the type of activity as much as I would have when going into the office or at clinic. Hope I can get into better habits with it!

LucyLucyT · 03/04/2020 13:44

How are you doing @41trying?

Hope you are feeling better now @fool11

41trying · 03/04/2020 19:31

Hey @LucyLucyT, I'm ok thank you. I feel just normal no symptoms not even sore boobs like last time. I really trying not to think about next week as if its negative it will be the end of the road.
How have you been feeling?

fool11 · 03/04/2020 19:59

Hi both, I’m good, so tired, glad this week is over..don’t want to see my computer for 2d, just hoping to sit in the garden this weekend. Hope you are both well. Hopefully we are gonna get some sunshine this weekend.

LucyLucyT · 04/04/2020 12:04

@41trying I think I'd have to do the same as you and try to keep as distracted as possible. What are you up to over the weekend? I think I might wash my car today, been reading about how to look after it while it's not being used! Working tomorrow, it has been a long week, even if I have been working from home!

@fool11 hope your getting chance to top up on that vitamin D. Not surprised you are tired, you are probably still recovering from being unwell.

41trying · 04/04/2020 14:36

Hey@LucyLucyT, I've just walked into our little town to go butchers, normally I would drive, but as it's a nice day and nothing better to do. I hope your well?

LucyLucyT · 04/04/2020 19:22

Yeah I'm alright thanks, washed and buffed my car to within an inch of its life!
It's been a really nice day actually, always nice to get a bit of sunshine ☀️

fool11 · 04/04/2020 20:19

Glad to hear you both had a nice day. We spent afternoon in the garden which was nice. Hoping tomorrow will be even nicer so can spend most of the day outdoors, garden. Shame all the gardens Centers are all closed so can’t get any flowers etc...I’m taking 10ug of vic D, might take 2 tablets for a week or so, been indoors for 3w which prob didn’t help.
When is your official test day @41trying?

41trying · 05/04/2020 11:27

Hey both, what a lovely day again. Glad you are feeling better @Fool11.
My test date is Friday. Do you have any big miles stone scans or appointments coming up?

fool11 · 05/04/2020 11:58

Hi, not really..had a private scan at 22w which was really nice, my 24w appointment I supposed to have last Friday was cancelled, need to go for a Glucose intolerance test in 2w time and supposed to have a 28w scan but not sure what’s happening now, still haven’t receive any letter re appointment. And need a whooping cough jab too..not sure if they can somehow combine these appointments so I don’t have to go to hospital every week.belly is getting big and finding it difficult to get up and bend down but otherwise all is fine. Bought the car seat last week so pretty much we have everything we need..just need to get some clothes for him..
Enjoy the sunshine, so lovely outside.

LucyLucyT · 05/04/2020 19:37

I was working today so been indoors, managed to hurt my neck leaning over my laptop as well so don't think I'll bother with a walk tonight. I'm off tomorrow so will spend some time in the garden and possibly take my exercise at our allotment where is easy to distance from others.

My midwife messaged me today, going to have a telephone appointment with him on Tuesday. After that I have glucose tolerance, scan and doctor review on 20th April. Hoping to keep appointments to a minimum while still being safe obviously! Keeping an eye on my BP and protein in my urine. Just not had any belly measurements yet.

My belly is getting bigger and need to buy more clothes fairly urgently! I want some jeans but I'm not really a skinny jeans person as I have short fat legs that's all that seems to be available! Might try and get second hand on eBay.

Going to spend a bit of time looking at prams and car seats again tomorrow. Otherwise we've been staying to decorate our nursery.

Glad you've both had nice weekends xx

41trying · 07/04/2020 10:54

Well ladies, I was due to test friday but couldn't help myself, so I tested as I have had some weird cramping going on.
It was a very clear positive, I am hoping only a few days early is not too early. So I did 3 ha ha. Nervous and excited!

fool11 · 07/04/2020 17:04

Omg..congratulations! That’s fantastic news! 3d early should be fine, many hospitals do test much earlier..that’s wonderful..have my fingers crossed for you. Will u be testing again on Friday? Do u take progesterone?

fool11 · 07/04/2020 17:07

I’m not a skinny jeans person too @LucyLucyT..my legs looks like a chicken legs 😁..so skinny jeans is not a good look..I just bought the waist extension bands and they work really well with the band over it so you can’t see the zip open..works quite well and now that I’m stuck at home don’t want to be spending money on new maternity clothes..don’t think we will be going to work, office soon..

41trying · 07/04/2020 17:14

Thanks @fool11, yes I will test friday to call clinic. Hubby said I shouldn't have tested and it's too early so not talking about it till friday. Can you really get a false positive this far in? I know its extremely early days and lots can happen
I hope you ok ?

fool11 · 07/04/2020 17:33

I think it’s not a false positive..you didn’t test on day 5-7 like some people do..I know it’s hard to believe and prob very scary at the same time but I’m hoping it will be positive on Friday again. Fingers crossed x

I’m well, thank you. Just finished work and my 5y old needs some love 😬

41trying · 07/04/2020 20:13

I will have fingers crossed for a while.
I'm glad you are feeling better

LucyLucyT · 07/04/2020 21:23

Sorry I'm late to the party!
@41trying wow wow wow! I'm so excited for you! Like @fool11 said I would've thought it might be a bit too far away from your trigger shot to give a false positive. I really hope that is a sticky one!
🤞🤞🤞

41trying · 08/04/2020 19:00

Evening ladies I hope you are both well and enjoying the sunshine!
Clinic called today as they do for a check on you call.
I told the nurse I had tested and she wasnt worried by it.
As they are closed Friday and Monday I can't call them until Tuesday next week to book my 7 week scan. I suppose this will be another long long wait.

fool11 · 08/04/2020 20:49

I’m surprised they are not open on Saturday, most private clinics are open on Sat..it’s always some waiting, isn’t it. Keep us posted how it goes on Fri.

I’ve managed to book my 28w scan today, hoped they are not going to cancel it closer to the time. Also need to go for a glucose test..really not looking forward to going back to hospital..have u had your glucose yest @LucyLucyT? Could you leave the hospital after first blood test and come back few hours later or did you have to stay there for a few hours? Really don’t want to be sitting around and waiting in the hospital waiting room..I’ve been eating so many sweets and chocolates every day, not sure it’s a good sign..really need to cut down.

41trying · 08/04/2020 21:49

My clinic only ever opened Monday to Friday, before all this they always made sure with meds, everything fell on these days.
Well there is nothing I can do about waiting again, been doing it for months and months. I remember the start of this thread all those months ago.
There was another lady that wasnt successful on first cycle and she went straight for another, I have looked back but, pages and pages in, it's only us 3 going on and on lol

LucyLucyT · 08/04/2020 22:59

Hey ladies, yes think it's just been us jibber jabbering for a few months now!

@41trying will you be doing an official test on Friday did you say? How are you feeling in yourself at the moment?

@fool11 I am going in on 20th April for my 28 week growth scan. I've got it all timed to have multiple things that day. So Glucose tolerance at 8:35. Then yesterday had Midwife telephone appointment and he is going to see me at the hospital at 8:45 once I've had my first round of bloods and the drink. Then scan at 10:50 after second blood test done (I'll hopefully be able to go and sit in my car or something as don't really want to hang around in the outpatients area although apparently it's very quiet! You aren't meant to do anything active really). Then at 11:15 I need to see one of the doctors on the day unit as they didn't have space for me in the proper consultant clinic. Luckily our maternity day unit has moved to a slightly less Covid risky area in the last few days. I'm going to be nervous as have not been out anywhere for a while other than walks late at night.

Hopefully it'll all go to plan!

I would say although I could probably eat less, I am eating better at the mo because I feel bad eating loads of food because we are relying on friends to bring us food and I don't want to waste it! Having said that my mum had a box of Cadbury's darkmilk bars sent to me yesterday, 24 bars 😱. Nice surprise but must pace myself! I put on way too much weight during IVF cycles and at the beginning of pregnancy, will have to work hard when the baby arrives!

41trying · 09/04/2020 11:32

Hey hey!
I will do the clinics home test tomorrow yes.
I'm feeling fine, not had any cramps since about a week ago. Boobs have a few twinges now and then. I'm not bloated yet, last time with BFN I was so bloated was ridiculous.
That's really good timings if it all works out for your appointments.
Well another lovley day, suppose we cant moan can we.

LucyLucyT · 10/04/2020 08:20

Hope all good with your test today @41trying :-) xxx

41trying · 10/04/2020 11:52

Well it's still there lol
