Hi all

There was already a thread for people cycling in October that i wanted to join but canny find it anywhere.

Im about to do my 6th (jeez) cycle of ICSI.
I already have a 4 year old DS from cycle number 4 and we decided we would try for a sibling.

Im currently just about to ovulate (getting the flashy smiley face on OPK) then i will start stimming on my next period at the start of October.

I had an awful cycle last November (my 5th) where i only got 2 mature eggs and non fertilised. This was because the wrong dose of drugs were given at the start of stimming.
So, with this slightly in the back of my mind, im still optimistic for a better cycle this time

Hi @LucyLucyT, I’m a bit better, my cold seems better but my throat is not improving, it’s quite dry cough now, tickly, I should be calling gp today, she said call if it’s not all better but my cold is better so will give it another few days. Also got up with a cold sore on my lip which is annoying. Last 10d been horrid and I just can’t wait for it to be over. My dd has raptured ear drum so she’s been in lots of pain and slowly starting feeling better too, thanks god, I barely slept for the past 10d which doesn’t help. But I think she has a reaction to meds, so needs to call gp again..it just doesn’t stop. How are you doing? Did you have a good weekend? Are you still having a routine midwife/consultant appointments at hospital? No idea what’s happening now re appointments, scans. I have so many appointments scheduled but don’t really fancy going to hospital every week.

Hope the scan goes well today @41trying. Will you be doing a fresh transfer or will you be freezing the embryos and doing the FET?

Hey ladies, scan went well, EC Wednesday.
They are only doing fresh transfers up to 30th, so will be in just in time.
I hope you both are staying safe and feeling better than last week.

That’s great at @41trying, have my fingers crossed for you. Are they closing the clinic after 30th?

@41trying pleased the scan went well, fingers crossed for weds! Glad you are in time before they stop some of their services.

@fool11 pleased to hear you are a bit better at least but coughs are a pain when they take so long to clear.

I've been a bit stressed as my partner will come under this new Shielding thing and I'm really worried he won't be able to be at the birth, got quite upset about it yesterday. It's going to be so strange over the next few months.

It's his bday today so we went to a forest where we knew it would be quiet and went for a walk with a picnic, it was lovely and we didn't pass a soul apart from a couple getting out of the car as we approached the car park coming back. It was great to get out and we realise it's probably the last time for a good while now.

Glad you had a nice day yesterday @LucyLucyT. I’m just hoping that things will settle a bit by July...really don’t fancy giving birth on my own..let’s hope things will change in 3m time for better. Hopefully people will be more responsible and stop spreading the virus..have you seen the pictures from London tube? Absolutely packed..crazy and irresponsible people..

I had a call from my midwifes team and they cancelled my 24w appointment..they are trying to limit the exposure..I’m having a private scan tomorrow at fatal medicine centre, hopefully all will be fine as next app will be then at 28w..if they don’t cancel..will see.

I wonder if my 24 wk appt this Friday will get cancelled then. I need my MATB1, it's crept up on me and have to pass it on to work asap!

Hope your scan goes okay tmrw @fool11. Yes I saw the pictures of the tube, think there are too many people going to work still, but I know self-employed people must be very concerned about lost income, hope the govt. can do more to help them.

Well I'm back, not the best news as only 2 eggs collected. Now for the nervous wait for the fertilisation call tomorrow, fingers crossed one makes it and if it does they will put it back Friday.

@41trying sorry to hear it wasn't as many as you were hoping, I'm going to be sending lots of positive vibes to the eggs and hope they fertilise for you 🤞🤞🤞

Morning Ladies, both eggs mature, one fertilised normally, so as long as it devides as expected I will have transfer tomorrow at 10.

@41trying glad you got an embryo, wishing you all the best for the transfer tomorrow, hope those cells are dividing nicely! xx

Hi Both, I'm back and have embryo in, they said it was good quality, so dreaded TWW now.
How are you both, well I hope?

I'm please for you @41trying, that's great news that it was good quality, good start. hope the TWW is not dragging...are you working or do you have some time off?

did you have your midwife appointment @LucyLucyT? I called them today and they are going to post me the MAT form for the employer.

Thanks @Fool11, I'm working from home, but not really doing that much really, as I work for a training provider for apprenticeships in hospitality, but they are still paying us so hey ho.

@41trying I'm so pleased it was a good quality embryo, I really hope this is the time for you. When do you test? Take it easy now x

@fool11 so after getting anxious about going to the GP surgery where my appts are the receptionist came out to tell me there was no midwife there and everyone should have been cancelled! Rather annoying. I rang the triage number for the midwives and they said all 24 week appts were meant to be over the phone now. Anyway she was nice and checked some things through with me. I can check my own BP and I've sourced a few urine dip sticks so I can check for protein. She is posting my matb1.
Next appt will now be my 28 week scan. My midwife is currently self isolating which I guess is why he didn't reply to my messages! xx

My OTD is 10th April as it was a 2 day transfer, which feels like a million years away.
I'm so glad you ladies are still around to chat, not much going on in other groups

Ahh yeah, I am in some other chats but finding the same that they are quiet at the mo.
Always here if you need to vent! Hope you can find some things at home to occupy you during the wait.

I'm currently baking a loaf of bread, or at least attempting to! x

Here is the final product, looks okay but the proof will be in the tasting!

The best loaf I've ever made! So soft and with a good crust. I'm usually disappointed when I make bread so I'm pleased.

Hi, sorry been crazy busy at work..working from home is worse than being in the office..they keep calling all the time and checking if we are working..like a prison..

I'm good @Fool11 it's going very slow. I've been furloughed today aswell. I had a few cramps today and thought I wonder what that is ha ha. But as we know it could be anything.
