October 2019 cycle Buddies

Hi all

There was already a thread for people cycling in October that i wanted to join but canny find it anywhere.

Im about to do my 6th (jeez) cycle of ICSI.
I already have a 4 year old DS from cycle number 4 and we decided we would try for a sibling.

Im currently just about to ovulate (getting the flashy smiley face on OPK) then i will start stimming on my next period at the start of October.

I had an awful cycle last November (my 5th) where i only got 2 mature eggs and non fertilised. This was because the wrong dose of drugs were given at the start of stimming.
So, with this slightly in the back of my mind, im still optimistic for a better cycle this time

Thank you everybody for the messages yesterday with advice and support.
So I did call the clinic and they just kept reassuring me that everything is likely ok. Because the bleeding was a only a bit more than spotting and now brown blood. They said I have a scan booked for 28th and if I got scanned before then we wouldn't see much anyway. I will be 6.5 wks by then. They told me to call back if bleeding was redder or heavier. I did mention the cramping and they just said it sounds completely normal.
I guess if it's not debilitating then they are not too concerned. Nothing could be done if I was a miscarrying anyway.
Bleeding appears to have stopped and is brown when I wipe. And cramps appear to have stopped. Just feel delicate in the tummy area but that may be due to painful lubion shots. I guess I will just wait until 28th. I am hoping this stuff stops though because I couldn't work at my job with those cramps.

I so much want to believe it @Bailey2017..but I’m afraid I just have a normal cold and cough, sore throat. ..gargling with paracetamol helps a lot.

At least you clinic is not alarmed , concerned @Violet180..I guess that’s a good, kind of, news. When are u back at work? Hopefully the cramping will stop soon.

Thank you so much @fool11 I'm so nervous, but proud I've managed to actually wait till test day! I had another really bad headache last night, my throat has eased of, but not fully. I'm still getting the odd cramp here and there. I'm going to be a nervous wreck in the morning!

I’m good , thanks. Still terrible cough and sore throat though, not much sleep in last 5d, so very tired. So tired don’t even have energy to think about the test day, my OTD is on Friday..My belly feels weird, like tight, not sure how to explain it, still having weird twinges here and there. Other than that have no symptoms..apart from attacking a jar of Nutella, everything seems just normal, like before ivf..

@fool11 oh no you've proper had it bad. Have you been off work? Hope you start to feel better soon. And hopefully get your BFP

Good luck to you both too! I'm so nervous :( I feel like I already know the answer. I feel absolutely no different than before. I'm glad it'll all be over one way or another tomorrow though and we can move on from the horror of the TWW

Unfortunately it's a BFN for me... Absolutely gutted. Will be doing a frozen in January as have to wait to till two periods have passed. Plus my clinic closes at Xmas. So time for some me time at Xmas I think and let me hair down abit ready for round 4.

@bailey2017 so sorry to hear that.

BFN for me too and I've started spotting so I guess AF is coming too. No frosties for us so back to square 1 it is

I'm so sorry @Bailey2017, been thinking of you and @Mseddy since early morning...really sorry. It's so horrible. Do they ask you to test again in few days time or that's def confirmed when you test on OTD...sorry, this is all very new too me..Take care of yourself x

gosh, sorry to hear that @Mseddy, i don't even know what to say...i think the ivf is so cruel...

@Mseddy so sorry too. Ask for them to increase the dosages next time thats what we did and ended up with 8 frosties! Had 2 frosties on 1st round but one didn't make it when being thawed. It's worth a shot.

@fool11 yes I'm supposed to test again Friday. But I already know, so I've stopped my progesterone pessaries as I can't cope with any more headaches knowing it's not pregnancy related now. And stopped my fragmin injections, my thighs are so bruised I need to heal now. Can't carry on with taking all this for nothing. I will still test, as I have to ring the clinic Friday anyway. Good luck for Friday!! We should hopefully get some good news!

@Mseddy @Bailey2017 so sorry to hear your news, give yourselves time to heal, but you will get there I'm sure of it.
I only had the one embryo the first time, this time got more eggs (they increased my stims), and it's worked out better obviously so keep positive if you can xx

Has anyone has a clearblue test show 1-2 weeks AFTER previously showing 2-3 week?
Ia so worried this pregnancy is going away. Both tests were FMU.

Could be a faulty pregnancy test..? Could you arrange for another blood test to test the HCG?

It is probably the test, I get why your worried though. It's probably just not picked up on the hcg levels as well. @Violet180

I just tested..and it’s positive..I’m shocked..can’t believe it. I know still lots things can wrong, but at least I feel we have it a chance and whatever happens now.

Thank you. I’m so shocked I want to cry..but very happy..for now. I don’t even remember what I need to do now..I didn’t really expect positive so put away all the papers from the clinic...
How are you both doing?

Also want to ask if you know what is chemical pregnancy..people keep mentioning it here on mumsnet..what does it mean?
