Hi all

There was already a thread for people cycling in October that i wanted to join but canny find it anywhere.

Im about to do my 6th (jeez) cycle of ICSI.
I already have a 4 year old DS from cycle number 4 and we decided we would try for a sibling.

Im currently just about to ovulate (getting the flashy smiley face on OPK) then i will start stimming on my next period at the start of October.

I had an awful cycle last November (my 5th) where i only got 2 mature eggs and non fertilised. This was because the wrong dose of drugs were given at the start of stimming.
So, with this slightly in the back of my mind, im still optimistic for a better cycle this time Smile

@Mseddy ..i thought you are doing your test on Wednesday :) ...the waiting is really hard

@Nas2019 ...good luck with your clinic... 20% is not bad...i was given 1-2% chance at 45...hope all goes well for you

Violet180 · 15/11/2019 12:36

@Mseddy thanks for thinking of me. Yes heading in to blood test now...results will be around 5pm or so. Going to try to convince them to scan me early as I am paranoid about ectopic pregnancy.

I tested on 9dp5dt because I was bleeding so much and I just wanted to come to terms with the negative. I swear I tested blood and not urine (sorry about the TMI). And I did think I saw a faint line. I will post the pic.

Then what did you do? Did you do IVF?

Mseddy · 15/11/2019 13:47

@violet180 good luck for your results. It's so hard to hold off testing! I can see your line quite clearly in that test :)

@Nas2019 if you read through the whole thread everyone's journey is already written. We all started ivf or had a fet around the same time this month, hence the name of the thread October cycle buddies. You might get more help about the start of the process in a different thread about starting the IVF journey or making your own thread? Personally I'm trying not to think too much about the start of the process because I'm petrified that this cycle won't work and I'll find myself back at square one, so apologies if I don't seem very helpful with your questions about the beginning stages.

@fool11 yeah wednesday is 11dp5pt so I know I should wait until then! The urge to pee on a stick is strong!!

Nas2019 · 15/11/2019 13:58

Thanks
Sorry I send the message next I reviewed the posts again because I read yesterday but since I was so stressed totally forgot. Thanks by the way, wish you luck

fool11 · 15/11/2019 14:33

the line is there @violet180..I can barely see with my eyes full of gunk and blurry vision but it’s there.

I’m supposed to be testing next Friday..will drive myself crazy till then..being busy at work helps though

@Nas2019 as MSeddy mentioned we all started the ivf around same time, that’s why I joined this threat..I fully understand how lost you might feel..in short, first I cried, them found three clinics I visited so I could compare, I’m in south east and there are so many clinics in this area, found one which I felt comfortable with and tried it...it’s our only try, self funded also. Had 2 embryos put back last week..we don’t have any other frozen, and with my age we know that that’s it for us so I’m just hoping it might work...as many of these threads show, you just don’t know what will happen, sometimes our bodies surprise us. You need to do what you feel most comfortable doing...hope you find your answers.

Nas2019 · 15/11/2019 15:46

Thanks for your reply and thanks all. Yesterday when I came in this group I felt I'm not alone in this journey however I really wish all women in the world can have baby easily and they experience what we are experiencing but there is always hope for all of us I believe.
I have just gone to BCRM I have found 4-5 centers all about the same price just some accept deposit some want all in advance.
For my case the doctor didn't accept multi cycle because of low chance but I'm living in hope. NHS accepted some of the blood tests. I'm also thinking to donor egg if it gives me a better chance but I need to wait for the first altrasound scan.
Thanks everyone

Bailey2017 · 15/11/2019 15:56

@fool11 nooo don't do it!! Have u any plans over the weekend?

fool11 · 15/11/2019 16:26

Just resting, if my DD will let me , can barely keep my eyes open, they feel like they are full of sand..and DH just had a surgery today so a bit crazy at home right now..

I’m not testing till next Friday, 22nd

Bailey2017 · 15/11/2019 16:59

Omg it so sounds like all the symptoms for you are there 🤞

Violet180 · 15/11/2019 19:02

So my last beta was 486
and todays beta is 873 and progesterone at 57.

So it hasn't exactly doubled, but I hear it can take 2-3 days to double and isn't an exact science. Still worrying like a crazy person. At least the bleeding has appeared to stop, although have mild cramps.

I tried to convince them to give me an early scan and she said the soonest she could book me in was on the week of 25th of Nov.....but then the first available appointment was 28th. So ends up being just 4 days before my regular 7 week scan anyway!
Its going to be an excruciating 2 wks for me....I feel like I'm back in my 2ww!

Sorry , I'll stop whinging...I know some in this thread are hoping for good news in their 2ww still and I wish everyone luck and baby dust 💐

fool11 · 15/11/2019 19:53

@violet180 it’s a good news that it’s rising, and bleeding stopped, fingers crossed it will be all ok..could you have some scan done privately sooner?

Mseddy · 15/11/2019 20:03

@violet180 so glad it's still rising. Its going to be a hard wait for the scan! It's not technically very honest. But you could say you are experiencing pain, that way they (or a local A&E) would have to scan you to rule out an ectopic. It's one way to get a scan sooner! Unfortunately sometimes it's a matter of playing the system. Also, don't apologise, you are not winging, and even though I'm in the tww I totally get how worried you are and I'm happy for you to moan as much as you need!

41trying · 15/11/2019 21:08

@Violet180. I know someone who paid for a very early 5-6 scan as the were really poorly and just wanted to make sure everything was ok! Is this possible for you?

Violet180 · 16/11/2019 19:37

Bleeding has started again and so has cramping. Honestly not sure what I should do. I know if I go to a&e they wont scan anyway. It's basically the same as it has been before....I will Definately call Monday and harass then for an earlier scan...just not sure if I should be worried about ectopic in the meantime? Just not sure the symptoms match... no dizziness nausea or stabbing pain. But a delicate undercarriage area where it is painful to sit down. And the bleeding.

41trying · 16/11/2019 20:30

@violet180 do you not have out of hours for your clinic to put your mind at rest?

fool11 · 16/11/2019 20:35

@Violet180 sorry to hear that. Have yuh been to a&e before? Sorry, maybe you wrote it already, can’t remember..I would prob go again , or tomorrow morning, evenings can be really busy, I’m sure yuh don’t want to spend all night waiting at the a&e ..could you tell them that you have pains or feeling nauseous so they take it seriously and do an emergency scan to rule out ectopic..

Bailey2017 · 16/11/2019 23:06

@Violet180 they won't scan at the hospital over the weekends I'm sure you have to wait till Monday anyway. You would know about it if you had an ectopic trust me, the pain is really bad. I use to work on a gynae ward with early pregnancy unit (I'm a nurse). I would ring your out of hours though just to make them aware, they will probably give u some advice. Hope your OK xx

Mseddy · 17/11/2019 10:18

@violet180 sorry to hear you are bleeding again :( can you contact your clinic today? Flowers

I tested this morning because I have no self control! It was negative. I kind of expected it to be because I'm only 6dp5pt and I couldn't really class it as fmu as I had only been asleep 4 hours when I woke up to pee. I guess it's a good thing because it's getting my head around the start of it being negative. I have zero symptoms and if anything I feel the way I would pre AF so I think deep down I already know the result

Bailey2017 · 17/11/2019 11:01

@Mseddy I'm so sorry to hear that, don't give up hope, it could still be a positive. My test day is Wednesday, I'll be 11dp5dt. I've usually caved in by now, but I'm scared of the outcome.

fool11 · 17/11/2019 13:43

@Mseddy it’s only d6..I had the ET on same day as you and my clinic wants me to test on Friday, will b D11 I think. I had 2 embryos put in and have absolutely no symptoms, just have some twinges and had a horrid cramp yesterday which really scared me..it’s still 50/50...we still have a chance..fingers crossed.

LucyLucyT · 17/11/2019 15:03

@Violet180 sorry to hear about the bleeding, must be worrying but fingers crossed things are still good, I've heard of a few people who bleed quite a lot and things still work out.

@Mseddy fingers crossed you've just tested too early but know how you feel by wanting to prepare for the worse. I think it's meant to be just as common for people not to get symptoms as to those that do. I hardly have any symptoms at the moment apart from side effects from the progesterone and increased tiredness.

@fool11 let's hope the cramp was a good thing, not nice when it's happening though!

Mseddy · 18/11/2019 10:11

@violet180 how are you doing?

I know it's early, I managed to resist testing this morning which I'm proud of. Then I'm away tonight and wouldn't do it if I wasn't at home. So I should make it to Wednesday which is the day we origionally said we would test, although clinic OTD is 24th. I've totally lost all hope though. I feel like I'm just dragging out the inevitable

fool11 · 18/11/2019 12:13

Well done @Mseddy for not testing this morning...I still have my fingers crossed for you..Wed might be still early if your clinic said 24th....? Why is there such a huge difference in OTDs...some clinics on d9, my on 11th d, yours on 13th....huge difference. Don’t understand it. I know it’s hard to be positive and worried about my testing on Friday too..have a terrible cold and cough as well and a bit temp and everytimr I cough it hurst in lower abdomen and really worried what it will do to the whole process...

Hoped you managed to get some answers from you clinic @Violet180.

Bailey2017 · 18/11/2019 12:52

@fool11 that's weird I'm getting a cold aswel. I've also had a sore throat for a couple days. I've read it could be due to our immune system being low due to the placenta. I so hope this is true. Or it could just be a normal cold. Wednesday can't come soon enough!
