@CharlotteCx oestrogen continues to rise during pregnancy. Doesn’t fall back down to below detectable on an OPK.

CharlotteCx · 15/10/2019 20:40

@Goingbacktokansascity Ok I see what you mean now.

DobbieFreeElf · 15/10/2019 20:44

Yeah, it’s the norm, that’s why there’s a chart showing it?!

CharlotteCx · 15/10/2019 20:46

Less of the sarcasm hun, you obviously have been on this journey longer than I have. Which is why your more educated on it than me. This forum is for us women to come together and express our concerns and worrys and help eachother. Do not patronise me. I am clearly reaching out for advise just like you probably have in the past. No need to be like that.

Goingbacktokansascity · 15/10/2019 20:50

@CharlotteCx you tend to disagree when someone says something you don’t want to hear/people repeat things several times but sorry we aren’t being patient you’re right.

CharlotteCx · 15/10/2019 20:52

I'm not disagreeing what so ever. I'm at 26 year old young girl just trying to find my way with this infertility journey. I'm just learning new things every day. If I don't u sweat and something I will ask again u til I do understand, just like you would. No need to be shitty with me, I haven't been rude to anybody so please don't be rude to me.

CharlotteCx · 15/10/2019 20:54

As yous know this thing is an emotional rollercoaster & stressful enough as it is, I don't want to come onto a forum and have women being snotty with me when all I'm trying to do is educate myself on my situation and ask for a bit of guidance.

Goingbacktokansascity · 15/10/2019 20:55

@CharlotteCx definitely not being rude. I think quite a lot of people told you temping wasn’t accurate if not done first thing and if you didn’t have enough data but you kept repeating that you hadnt ovulated because of your temping? That’s what I meant by disagreeing. I’m 26 years old too so definitely not being patronising

seven201 · 15/10/2019 20:58

@CharlotteCx congratulations on the ovulation.

@DobbieFreeElf and @Goingbacktokansascity my dh is also suddenly invested. He hates taking any tablets at all usually but has agreed to taking the ones I've bought for him. I think it's the prospect of ivf! Sex season is recommending in our house tonight Hmm

I definitely don't want multiples! I kept telling that to my consultant when he was scanning me.

I find myself randomly holding my belly like a pregnant person sometimes Blush. I think in my subconscious sometimes I assume I'm pregnant because I want to be! I'd love to not be drinking at Xmas if it meant a baby. I had a truly awful pregnancy with dd but I'd do it all again in a heartbeat for another baby!

Goingbacktokansascity · 15/10/2019 21:00

@seven201 do you get bloating with the medication because I definitely do and hold my little Buddha belly like a baby. I’ve been asked at work before if I’m expecting 😂 no Sandra just bloated.
I’m the same with the sickness with DS, I really want my hyperemesis back 😂

CharlotteCx · 15/10/2019 21:00

I didn't mean you I meant the other lady who said about the chart and that's why it's there.

Well as I said this is all a big learning curve, but even if you was repeating yourself etc I would just try and help. Obviously if I'm repeating myself then I don't quite understand what you mean. Otherwise I wouldn't feel the need to ask again. Anyway, I'm not sitting here rowing over the internet. I just wanted a bit of help 😊

CharlotteCx · 15/10/2019 21:01

@seven201 thank you x

doomkittycleo · 15/10/2019 21:30

@Marmite83 and @seven201 how are you ladies doing?

I have just started the next phase of my IVF cycle. Done my first stimulating injection, then got my scan on Monday to see how many follicles are developing.

Sh!t’s gettin real now folks.

DobbieFreeElf · 15/10/2019 21:37

@seven201 your hubby wants to get out of buying you a Xmas present too!!! Grin

Glad my sex season is over, especially as my OH has come down with a cold today (which he will not shut up about)! Snotty sex is not sexy!

He's gone to bed early to die from man flu get a good night's sleep so I'm catching up on some exceptionally high brow TV in peace!!!

seven201 · 15/10/2019 21:52

@Goingbacktokansascity I don't get bloating but I do have a bit of a natural belly so it's just nice to hold

@DobbieFreeElf glad sex season is over for you! Yes to getting control of the remote!

@doomkittycleo great to hear from you. Exciting that the next phase has started for you. I hope it all goes really smoothly. Keep us posted.

Im good thanks. Feeling less negative today. I'm going for a look round my ivf clinic this Friday and have the initial consultation in a few weeks (earliest appointment). In the meantime I've gone a bit ott on buying all the supplements in it starts with the egg book!

Marmite83 · 15/10/2019 23:25

Not long now til egg collection then @doomkittycleo, exciting! I'm still in limbo land, no positive opk and no af. Been dtd just in case but being quite relaxed about timings which makes a nice change at least.

Goingbacktokansascity · 16/10/2019 08:26

@Marmite83 ohh limbo land sucks. Happy story for everyone - good friend of mine is pregnant naturally awaiting her 6th IVF cycle! She has PCOS, husband has low morphology and they’d recommended ICSI instead of clomid. So many rounds just didn’t take and a few chemical pregnancies thrown in there. Went early at 6am this morning to get some blood work done ready to induce a period so she could stimulation (I think, short protocol?!) and at 8am got a phone call saying to do a clear blue because they’d measured PDG, LH, FSH and a wee beta just for luck and the beta was in the thousands! 🙌🏽 There’s hope!

Goingbacktokansascity · 16/10/2019 08:29

And yes she found out at 8am and by 8.15 had text everyone she knows! I think I’m too chicken if I found out I’m pregnant to tell anyone other than virtual friends, does anyone else feel like that? Like because we’ve dealt with constant disappointment we are waiting for something else to go wrong?

DobbieFreeElf · 16/10/2019 09:15

Good for her! (Genuinely not being sarcastic!)

First miscarriage I only had told my mum, dad, sisters and best friend, it was hard enough telling them it was over.

Second one I only told a close friend as we were away for a week at the beginning, again, tough explaining it had ended.

That said, there is an argument to telling people early, if everything turns out fine then great, and if it doesn't at least you have a support network around who know at the time...

Still think I'm keeping it between just me and OH if when it does happen! Certainly won't be telling DS as he'd tell everyone!!

DobbieFreeElf · 16/10/2019 09:16

Oh and you lot!

doomkittycleo · 16/10/2019 14:33

@seven201, glad you’ve got your consultation booked. It’s a positive step for you. The only supplement our clinic recommends is folic acid, so I’m not using anything else.

@Marmite83 limbo land sucks, but good on you for continuing to BD. You never know, you might get lucky.

DobbieFreeElf · 16/10/2019 14:36

...and sec in a relationship is a loving way to feel close to your partner and...

Nope can't do it, sex is now all about TTC, try as we might to enjoy it in a way we once did! Grin

Goingbacktokansascity · 16/10/2019 16:59

Counting down DPO (if I ovulated) till test. I think I’m going to take the chance and test 10 DPO because I’m so impatient. When do you all test,

LaurenN23 · 16/10/2019 17:40

Hi everyone, been quiet for a while as I've been on my new meds to bring my prolactin level down.

I have been taking my temp every night with an OvuSense and also taking daily OPKs as I've heard positive stories about the new med I'm on making some women ovulate!

Well, today I got a static smiley for the first time ever and a positive cheapie opk. What I'm wondering though, because I have PCOS I don't quite believe it, but also my tests for the past few days have been VERY negative, barely a line there so I'm super shocked to see it! Do your test lines have to gradually get darker to confirm a positive?

CharlotteCx · 16/10/2019 18:00

@LaurenN23 congrats on your first positive opk! Such a good feeling isn't it x

I too have PCOS and my opks wasn't gradual at all. I had a negative in the morning then a good positive in the afternoon! And I deffo did ovulate as CD21 confirmed it yesterday. Get BD'ing 😊
