@2fingers22018 snap, TERRIBLE day at work today, I didn't get home til 7 and I'm normally home for 4:40. Had a meeting with a colleague and our manager and goodness knows why but my colleague couldn't look at me or speak to me other than thru gritted teeth for the rest of the day. I'm at quite a loss!! Anywho I don't have to see her now for over a week🥳 so hopefully she'll be over it.

@squirrelnutkins1 i know im having a really hard time finding a gd fit with our family i need a dog thats gd with kids with ttc n my sis being pregnant it seems a lot harder than the 1st time. Maybe im overthinking and should just get a puppy lol but im just all for rescuing a little dog! Seen one today but the by the time i phoned he d bern snapped up grrrr

@squirrelnutkins1 Wtf, so you have no idea why this work person was giving you daggers? How bizarre! It's so annoying, things like that can really ruin your day, hope she gets over herself!

@2fingers22018 I keep looking at rescue dog sites and the good ones always get snapped up so quick! It's not the right time for us but I can't help looking as they are so damn cute lol, but I know what you mean, most say no young kids. Let us know as soon as you find the perfect pup 🐶😍

@anaesthetist83 glad you are feeling a bit better. My clinic really painted a lot of worse case scenarios and said that they can see ovaries but not bowel when they do the procedure so it's quite common to nick something (it wasnt one of the scary scenarios!) So fx you feel back to normal soon

@bambionice80 ooo, a kitten! I love cats but hubby is very anti, is she/he a handful?! Urgh, sorry you may have to bugger about with hiding medications etc etc, but you're right you really shouldn't panic until you get there, I bet there's loads of people that have sneaky solutions to that problem! Maybe you can store them in a cool bag in the fridge and stick a load of stinky cheese on top to cover why you need to keep it in its own bag?!... or maybe I'm not the best at sneaky solutions 🤣

I wrote myself a bucket lust of 35 things to do before I hit 35 with some silly things like learn how to do a French plait or ride a horse, and some bigger stuff so that's keeping me occupied! At end of September I'm climbing up mountains in the lake district and wild camping for 2 nights which I'm excited about but wildly unprepared for so am suddenly exercising daily in my panic lol. Also I've finally decided to sell my parents house (they died a few years ago) so in the process of clearing that out which should lead to some opportunities or holidays (or maybe just mean we don't bankrupt ourselves paying for ivf 😒). Where are you off to on holiday?? Let's focus on that lol

Yep - sadly I’m medical so only too aware of the “rare things”..... sadly medics do also have a reputation for not being straightforward. Still sore today but a definite improvement. Trying to move around a bit more today!

@CloudSway I can only imagine it's cus our manager called her out that's she's not pulling her weight in the team, so not sure why she's taking it out on me! She really isn't doing her fair share and she's not even a perm member of staff so you'd think she'd pull her finger out and crack on! It really ruined my day and has triggered me feeling quite low today 😕 weird how anything that upsets me makes me feel awful about the mc and infertility.

Your bucket list sounds ace! Is it Hellvellan in the lakes? Not sure how you spell it lol!

The goblin child is 17 weeks old @2fingers22018 and came to us surprisingly quickly (we heard about him on the Tuesday, visited him on the Thursday and picked him up the following Monday! 😳). We'd been talking about it for a year, but were supposed to be waiting for IVF to fail before getting a pet - he was too good of an opportunity to miss though! 😺 I love puppies (I've grown up with dogs but unfortunately can't get one now because we're out far too long all day to be fair on it 😔), so would love to see piccies when you find your puppy 🐶 x

That sounds like a terrible day @squirrelnutkins1 😞 Why the hell can't people just try to get along?! Why all the nastiness?! I know some personality types strive on that kind of thing, but I much prefer a harmonious work place... if only I could get one!! 😂

Oooh @CloudSway - I hadn't considered hiding them under something!! Amazing idea!! 💡 I'll focus my efforts on what that something could be (again - really can't help planning for something that may not even need planning! 🤪). We're off to Italy to stay with DP's family for a family birthday (DP is Italian and we very much can't cancel it to make the IVF easier 😏). We'll still have a nice time, it's just a shame about the injection stress. You're bucket list sounds amazeballs 🤩 I learnt to do a French plait in my late 20's and the Belgian version in my 30's, so it's totally doable 👍🏻 You're a way braver woman than I to go for the wild camping! I am in awe!! I'm sorry to hear you have to empty your parents house 💙 I had to do the same for my grandparents last year - it's bloody hard work (emotionally and physically!). I hear you on the expense of IVF - I've no idea how people afford 8 full cycles! 😱 It'll be one full and maybe a couple of frozens if we've got any frosties for us - the line in the sunken cost fallacy sand has been drawn!

@CloudsSway i agree with the girls clearing the house will be tough. I had to clear my grandparents house out and it was soo emotional i was really close to them. But i will say i ended up smiling and laughing alot at some of the sentimental things theyd stored away through the years it was sweet i hope the same thing happens to u hun x @squirrelnutkins1 fuck her seriously i hate nasty ppl like that they seem to thrive on drama and fights dont let her bring you down!

@BambiOnIce80 i luv cats too but im soo used to walking my dog. I feel like gettin out to the park and walking in the woods lifts my mood! I miss the routine with her getting up and dressed early now on a day off i laze bout in my pjs until i meet up with friends or family lol. I ll prob end up with a house full of animals at this rate tho nevermind crazy cat lady crazy zoo lady😂what kind of cat of cat is he?😻

@2fingers22018 he's 25% moggy and 75% Russian Blue 😼 I'm normally horribly allergic to cats (but not dogs!), so we had to go for a hypoallergenic breed and so far, so good 🤞🏻 I would love a dog one day and train it to go running with me - that'd be the ultimate destressor 🧘‍♀️

Thanks ladies, and I'm sorry to hear you've had to go through it with grandparents @2fingers22018 @bambionice80 ❤ I'm definitely finding it tough, especially as I'm an only child so part of me feels like if I throw anything with a memory attached then the memory is gone forever.. but it's a lot easier than when I first started a few months after, I just wasn't ready and now I'm in a better headspace thank god.

@2fingers22018 the appointment thing must be so frustrating, you just want to get on with it now! I've been inspired by you to ping an email to my clinic asking if I can book the follow up for DH s test now, and can I also book to speak to the nurse at the same time! I've also booked an appointment with my gp 2 days before as last time he was fine with ordering all the blood tests so I can bash them out the same day if needed! I WILL drag these appointments along at a reasonable pace if it kills me lol can't help to try anyway!

I have a stupid question though folks. I have to decide if I want to pay for one round or 3 rounds at reduced rate. We resigned ourselves to 3 rounds, but it's just occurred to me that I might not be thinking right. Ivf is the egg harvest and making the embryos right? So with one round I could end up with more than one embryo and have then on ice. So does each transfer count as a round of ivf or are all transfers from the first harvest count as one round? 🤯 if so it makes the decision much harder.... and I didn't ask that question when shopping around 🤦‍♀️😬

@BambiOnIce80 it’s an exciting but extremely anxious time for us this is my 2nd fet, 1st resulted in a bfp but sadly had a massive bleed at exactly 5 weeks which was confirmed is lost it at my 6 week scan so it a mixture of emotion at the mo!

@2fingers22018 oh right a few more to go then but at least they are in the pipe line so use ur as a count down!

@cloudsway sorry I mentioned your list and nothing else must be a hard time for you but might bring you some comfort in doing it with memories! I’m ok as I said above I’m a whole mixture of excitement to be moving forward but at the same time I’m dreading it I just keep thinking what if it’s bfn it what if it happens again I know both of those things could very well happen it’s jyst I’m trying to be more prepared for that but I don’t think I can be! The meds will be fine use to all that now I think lol!
I can’t remember why you are having ivf to give you a. Answer in one or three can you repeat yourself I’m sure you have many times sorry!

Lol sorting out appts is stressful one round of ivf is injections egg retrival and fx fertilised embryos, if the embryo doesnt take any frosties you get can get transferred before( u hopefully dont need to) move onto the nxt cycle. Nah not stupid at all i asked @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF the exact same question a while ago lol

@CloudsSway as for how many cycles ul need id say its just a guessing game hun. Quite sick clinics asking you if u want to book all 3at a discounted price theyr prayin on all our desperation

Thanks for asking @CloudSway. Not great unfortunately. I am pregnant but it's too early to see a heartbeat yet, only evidence of the gestation sac and yolk sac. The sonographer wouldn't commit to anything gestation-wise.

Worryingly, I may also have an ectopic pregnancy growing, just by my left ovary, so not in the tube. There is a mass there that they aren't sure whether it's a baby or a fibroid (which I do have lots of). I've googled, obvs, and it's apparently called a heterotopic pregnancy. There's every chance the uterine pregnancy can survive, even if I need surgery. But, it also needs to be growing properly and I'm uncertain that it is at the moment because of the discrpency in dates.

So back next week to have a re-scan, on my birthday 😢

Technically by my lmp I will be 7 weeks next Friday, so even though I'm certain of my ovulation date making me earlier than my lmp suggests, perhaps there is some hope.

I'm on high alert for any typical ectopic symptoms and obviously have to go back if that happens.

Not sure how to feel at the moment 💔

Oh @VenusStarr that must have been quite the shock. Especially with such uncertainty. Have you got support at home to help you through the next week? Are you in any pain? It's not self indulgent. That's a lot to take in for anybody.

Hmmm I’ve had an overnight stay in hospital and CT scan. Looking like OHSS with good going ascites. Home now but still feel sick and struggling to drink enough. Will certainly be a freeze all for us

Thanks @veeboo, I'm OK in myself. Had some weird pains yesterday on my left side, which is probably the mass / ectopic but generally feeling fine. We're actually going away for a few days, only an hour or so away, so will be with dh. Might go to work tomorrow, just to keep busy.

@Anaesthetist83 sorry you've been in hospital, hope you're recovering well.
