Fantastic @squirrelnutkins1 - we are back to using condoms this month as it’s that or don’t have sex now we have started ivf. Feels odd to try not get pregnant but great because it doesn’t matter when!!

Had my appointment today - had a blood test and then was taught how to self inject little
Bit nervous but once I practiced it was fine :). I am on max drugs 450 to give them a boost but as I’m 28 they might have to reduce it if they really like the boost ha!! Get my drugs Monday 😀😀 and hopefully get my Positive October with embryos to freeze
I am all about the positive affirmation!!
It WILL happen and all the visualisation

bunhead34 · 14/08/2019 20:35

Hey all!

Just wondering how long it took people to get an appointment letter through after being referred to the fertility clinic?

I only had the dr on Friday, but I'm
So paranoid they will just forget about me 🙈🙄

GreyC · 14/08/2019 23:27

I got a text through to ring up and book the appointment for the local Hospital within a couple weeks I think

veeboo · 15/08/2019 07:07

Hi @bunhead34 it was just a couple of weeks I think. Not long at all. It might depend where you live. Chase your GP if you dont hear anything. Fx!

squirrelnutkins1 · 15/08/2019 07:53

@GreyC I'm so pleased it went well and you're feeling so positive 🥳 I'd be scared of injecting myself. You guys are so brave!

@2fingers22018 heehee 🙊 must be hard to choose 🐶

@bunhead34 I think I went to the docs originally in June and got an appt for sept. When I was re referred after my mc it took the gp secs about 3 weeks to type my referral so give them a call maybe Monday to see if it's been sent.

@veeboo how are you? Is your good news sinking in yet? 😊

How's things with you lovely ladies then.... @VenusStarr @Mrsmch123 @CloudSway I can't seem to tag Kelly in ☹️ x

Well I’m plodding on with my stims.... starting to get uncomfortable. Positive scan yesterday. Endometrium 6.9mm which is the best it has been in ages, with time left for it to thicken further. Follicles developing nicely. May have EC early next week. Hope everyone else ok too

veeboo · 15/08/2019 08:34

Hi @squirrelnutkins1 I'm doing okay but no symptoms of note which I find disconcerting. Dont think I can let myself get excited yet. Just tagging @kelly199 for you. Hope you're okay kelly?
@anaesthetist83 that sounds really positive. Keep us updated on your EC.

squirrelnutkins1 · 15/08/2019 09:06

@Anaesthetist83 all sounds very positive 😊

@veeboo will you book in for an early scan? No symptoms isn't always bad news xxx

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 15/08/2019 10:11

Thanks for the nudge @squirrelnutkins1 :) I'm OK, got quite a lot of symptoms but tiredness and feeling nauseous are the top ones. Dh thinks I'm too early to be bothered by them. I'm calling epu on Monday and hoping for a scan next Thursday / Friday when I'll be 6+3/4 🤞
How's things with you, are you in your tww now? Have you got many side effects from the letrazole?

@veeboo I'm flitting between excitement and anxiety! The early days are hard.

@bunhead34 I had to chase our GP, he sat on dh's results for 3 weeks! But from referral in February to appointment in May, it wasn't too long.

I was supposed to have my hysteroscopy today, I've kept our consultant appointment in September, just in case.

Hope everyone is well xx

squirrelnutkins1 · 15/08/2019 13:08

@VenusStarr glad you're doing ok 😊 bet you're on the count down to Monday aren't you, so you can arrange a scan with the EPU. Feeling excited for you! 💕
I'm ok thanks. Less side effects from the Letrazole this month. Yeah cd18 today, may try dtd once more today or tomorrow just in case I ovulate later than last month. My skin is AWFUL so feeling a bit crap about that but it's hardly the end of the world is it!
Xx

Hi ladies am now off on my holidays so am going to have a break from here! So hope you are all well and will catch up with you when I am back xx

veeboo · 15/08/2019 13:30

Thanks @VenusStarr it's a weird time. I am only 5 weeks tomorrow by my guess so super early. Not really sure what to do with myself. Its 3 weeks until I'm going to have a scan.

@squirrelnutkins1 sounds like you've thrown everything at it this month. Fx for you!

Hope you have a great hol @finallytakingtheplungewithivf

Mrsmch123 · 15/08/2019 18:54

Hi everyone, I've just changed jobs so not had a minute to get on the thread as I'm exhausted every night lol! Just had a chance to catch up @VenusStarr @veeboo congratulations!!!!Not much is happening from my end still waiting on appointment which is the 8th of September so nearly there...although that will just be us getting on the icsi waiting list😒even though we have known since March that we will most likely need it. However as we went to the Caribbean in July we couldn't start treatment unitil January anyway.

GreyC · 16/08/2019 20:30

Hope everyone is ok - we seen to have quietened down recently!

Anaesthetist83 · 16/08/2019 21:01

So I thought all was well, but have really high oestrogen level (18000) so looking like this is going to end up as a “freeze all” cycle (if have any embryos worth freezing), rather than a fresh. I’m really gutted as knew this was going to be a possibility due to lining issues, but lining has been perfect so thought all would be well. Trigger tomorrow for EC on Monday. Had rubbish day at work on top of this, and still oncall until 8am tomorrow morning.

GreyC · 16/08/2019 22:49

I’m sorry things haven’t gone to plan @Anaesthetist83.
And I hope work gets better for you!

veeboo · 17/08/2019 05:45

Oh @Anaesthetist83 I'm sorry you had a bad day. Did you get through the night without being called? I have a feeling others on here may have had a freeze all so may be along shortly with better advice. I will be thinking positive thoughts for your EC on Monday though and hope you have something relaxing planned for after the trigger.

@MrsMch123 I hope the waiting list isnt too long. Have they ever given you an idea of how long?

It is very quiet. I know people are on hols and some were coming up to busy parts of treatment so hope everyone is okay xx

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 17/08/2019 08:38

I know I said I was taking a break but I just saw @Anaesthetist83 post and just wanted to say I had a freeze all due to my hormone levels going stupidly high! While it was disappointing at the time I only had to wait a few weeks to start the process for a few weeks and it gives your body a chance to heal and be more prepared for your embryo! Try not to worry and I hope you get lots of eggs!

Hope everyone else is ok?

I start the process for my next fet in the 5th September can’t wait to get started again!

Anaesthetist83 · 17/08/2019 15:25

Thank you all. Night was quiet but feeling exhausted today.

CloudSway · 18/08/2019 08:28

I'm not surprised @Anaesthetist83 it's all kinds of tiring, mentally and physically. Sorry it hasn't gone the way you hoped, but as @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF says at least your body will have a bit of time to heal. My clinic say they always freeze if they can for just that reason, and only do fresh if they are concerned about quality or quantity. Do you have a couple of days off to rest, or do your shifts not work like that?

Anaesthetist83 · 18/08/2019 08:40

I fortunately have a very understanding departmental lead who has been through the process who has allowed me some last minute annual leave for Monday and Tuesday. Will see how I feel later in the week depending on whether OHSS progresses or not
