Don't want to lose touch so new thread ready x

Just did my first pessery - felt like I was getting my period this morning for some reason. Could be related to my egg retrieval.

Keep thinking of my embryos hopefully growing nice and strong ready for Tuesday!! I am excited/nervous. Interestingly enough the 1st October is a special day for our family as four generations including my brother last year got married on that day so I’m hoping it’s a god omen for us for transfer.

@2fingers22018 did you get on ok with the injections?

@greyc I wouldn’t worry now you on the pessaries you might still feel like that I feel a bit like that this morning aswell!

Amazing what they do really isn’t it. When is your transfer ?

Mine is on wed! Do you have to have a full bladder?

Yes full but comfortable. So a glass of two of water before hand I assume?

How far is it to you clinic away from you? I was advised to go toilet before leaving clinic is about 40-45 mins away for us and start drinking 30mins in to it! I must of drank about 750 ml if not more before I went in and that wasn’t enough so I had to drink 2 more glasses while I was on there! Comfortable means really need a wee 😂

I’m about 20minutes away. I drink a lot of water anyway so hopefully it will be ok. Before my egg retrieval they scanned me again as they want to use my photos for a paper on some sort of accuracy of a new scan machine and I had a full bladder them as was desperate for a wee 🙈

Did you have to have a full bladder for egg retrieval?
Yeah I drink slot of water too but it is about timing really.

No; it was just unfortunate I hadn’t been for a wee yet.
Hoping my embryos are growing nicely :)

Are they going to let you know on day 3 how they are getting on?

I’m pretty sure they said they would ring on Monday... which is day 4. So abit of a wait. I would hope if all goes wrong they would ring

I was just wondering as we were rang on day three to say how they were getting on and i know some clinics do things differently

Yeah I think I’ve heard that too. I didn’t know if tomorrow being Sunday would make a difference. I might call them to double check when they are calling me.

@GreyC I would as day 3 is a crucial point!

So my clinic have just called to confirm the plan et is at 11 on wed and my 2 day threes will be defrosted on Monday so should have a call at some point then to say if they survived the thaw so they can hopefully grow to blastocyst by transfer day! Fingers crossed! We are really lucky that we have 2 blastocyst waiting as back up if these two don’t make it! Jist hope they do!

@FinallytkingtheplungewithIVF and @GreyC yh injecting was fine it was the mixing beforehand thats a bit of a faff i watched online tutorials and it really helped i was feeling dare i say nearly confident lol do you both get ur saline water/solution in glass viles? that was the fiddly bit trying to snap them open thank god my OH was on hand to help. How many days did yous end injecting for? I really hope we re all lucky id say the 1st of October sounds gd xx 👋to everyone else hope your all having a nice weekend💜
