Zest11 · 24/06/2020 18:48

@Mrbay Ahh I am pleased both of your eggs fertilised. Thinking of you and hope you have managed to rest up since EC and you continue to do so. Hope the next few days go quickly for you xx

Welshpugmomma · 27/06/2020 13:16

@Mrbay yay we just celebrate embryoversary yesterday or as we now call it miracle day! We only had one so I remember feeling very realistic during ET but here we are... hoping the same for you!

@Ginandtonic31 bcant wait to see those bee makes sounds so good!

@Zest11 hope your resting up now , the end is in sight - eat all the ice cream you can/ or don't as im struggling to get rid of that now haha

Hope everyone else get is doing well :) I've got 15 days until I'm back ! Woo-hoo so much to sort though but my little helper is doing a great job ;)

Mrbay · 27/06/2020 20:59

Sorry I wrote a reply but didn't press send 🙈

Thanks for the well wishes, going in tomorrow for ET, looks like I've got one to transfer and one to freeze but I've not had an update since day 3.

@welshpugmomma - exciting! Are you going back to the same camp?

Zest11 · 28/06/2020 06:42

@Mrbay Good luck today, I hope all goes well. My only tip now is to go for a nice walk today and tomorrow...keep mobile. Have you got anything planned to distract you during the tww?

@Welshpugmomma Ahh just 2 weeks. That is sooo exciting. I bet you have so much to do with all of the planning and organisation. How are family and friends finding this? I bet they are sooo excited and they will get to meet baby Josiah too!

Ahh I'm not even overdue yet but I feel that if this baby doesn't come soon, he's going to morph out of my stomach, alien style! He seems pretty comfy in there and I'm not sure how long to leave it to push for induction in the likely event he is late.

KittyKatSmile · 28/06/2020 10:08

@Mrbay thinking of you today. Those are brilliant stats! Must be down to your eating plan I'd say! Fingers crossed for you. Shall we relaunch book club? Do you have goodreads? We could follow each other to see our recommendations?! I'm reading 'When we believed in Mermaids' at the moment and really enjoying it.

@Zest11 I would maybe go for a few days after your due date because it sometimes takes a few days to work so then you won't go over 41 weeks. But that's just me! Will they let you choose?

OP posts:
Mrbay · 28/06/2020 11:25

Transfer all done, the 2nd one is lagging a little behind so they'll review it tomorrow and either freeze or dispose.

@Zest11 - 10 days over due is normally when they like to induce but won't let you go over 14 days. You could request a sweep to help things along.

Sorry @Ginandtonic31 - I've been terrible with reading. What's you book about?

Zest11 · 28/06/2020 13:44

@Mrbay Ahh I am pleased to hear you have one on board. Pregnant until proven otherwise now!

@KittyKatSmile You amaze me - you have time to read books too Shock I've had a Google of the one you're on and I think I might pick it up, it looks good. I had been reading one called The Nanny for weeks but I just can't finish it. I think it's me though rather than the book as I want to know what happens! I have another checked out called Strangers.

Re. Induction. The plan always was induction on DD due to IVF so I never contemplated going over. However I transferred to a different local authority recently as there's still severe visiting restrictions for partners where I was and not in the other authority. The other NHS trust don't routinely induce IVF pregnancies (whereas mine did) but I did think if I go past 41w or so, he'll never come out safely. People are saying things like 'your bump is still high' or 'you've not dropped' and even 'perhaps they got the dates wrong!' (Impossible) which worries me that he will never voluntarily come out. Also, because I've had all these growth scans that have varied so much that adds to my worry. I'm wondering if he's trying to get down there but is just too big! I see a mw at the new trust this week so I will see what she says. I've also got a sweep lined up for just after 40w so hopefully that will move things along.

Mrbay · 28/06/2020 14:05

Sorry wrong tag! @KittyKatSmile, was meant to ask you what your book was about.

Thanks @zest11 - let's see what the next 2 weeks hold.

I couldn't help you there - sorry

Zest11 · 28/06/2020 19:39

@Mrbay ha, sorry! Not sure why I rambled on a bit there. What have you got planned for the next few weeks? Have you taken some time off work or are you happy to be working?

KittyKatSmile · 28/06/2020 20:52

@Mrbay yes, PUPO!! This book is about long lost sisters with secrets... pretty good. And @Zest11 of course I've got time to read!! It's called breast feeding and night feeds!! I figure it's more productive than mindlessly scrolling through Instagram for hours a day or buying more stuff online!!

@Zest11 hopefully the sweep will get things moving and then on the day you have that one you can ask for another one in a few more days. So exciting!

Mrbay · 29/06/2020 09:04

@zest11 - it's a very exciting moment for you so don't be sorry talking about it!

@KittyKatSmile - I need to get back into reading!

No real plans for the next 2 weeks, got this week off and then back wfh for the following

Ginandtonic31 · 01/07/2020 10:05

Morning, this thing really doesn't alert me anymore!

@Mrbay I've been thinking about you and so glad you have an embryo on board!! Keep busy and good luck!

@Zest11 I remember I thought that I would give it until 41 weeks and then make a decision. But little lady had her own ideas. They also thought she was big and people said she was high but she cane a couple of days early. I will put a photo in the next post from 5 days before and you can decide if I look high or low.

I'm currently reading Little Fires Everywhere until I start the tv series but it's slow as I was reading in bed before but now we have a baby monitor I'm staying up a little later (I know people will say this is bad) and then when I go to bed I end up watching sewing videos in bed 🤦🏼‍♀️

Talking of sewing... it isn't bees but here is my first ever item of clothing I've made.

Ginandtonic31 · 01/07/2020 10:05

The photos won't post!!!

KittyKatSmile · 01/07/2020 12:48

@Ginandtonic31 oh my goodness! We need the photos!!

Mrbay · 01/07/2020 14:49

Omg they are too cute @ginandtonic31!!!

I forgot how long the TWW drags!! Thankfully the cramps seem to have subsided so that's a bonus! The steroids are making me so hungry and thirsty!

Ginandtonic31 · 01/07/2020 14:51

@Zest11 this was my bump 5 days before she was born.

Ginandtonic31 · 01/07/2020 14:54

@Mrbay get some sewing done to pass the time! So I had 50cm of that fabric left so bought a pattern for a top for her. I think I've been too ambitious 😂 I think it might take me a long time! But I'm going to take it steady and take my time. And make the next size up! And if it's rubbish I've 10 years to perfect it as the pattern goes to age 10 😂

Welshpugmomma · 01/07/2020 17:07

Haha @Ginandtonic31 I love those little shorts they are so cute! It Sure will keep you busy imagine you could just make it every year to take those photos of her growing up! Commitment though 😅 I want to make one of those taggy blanket but think I need a sewing machine and I've tried that before and it wasn't very successful so a bit reluctant this time!

Less than two weeks till I'm back! Can't believe it i can't wait to see my mum hold josiah is going to be emotional! They are all so excited! Bit nervous about the flight as there will be a lot going on bringing my doggo back too, but it's the only time we'll have to do it so just going to have to be that nightmare family on the plane!

@Mrbay your two weeks going to be slower than mine I'm sure but let's hope it worth the wait! How's puppy doing ? Learnt any new tricks?
@Zest11 I totally need to retrain my brain to pick up a book instead of the phone all the time! Hope your not getting too impatient!
@Cauliflower82 hoper you're well fugs has just started paying attention to josiah now especially if baby gives him a sugarsnap lol friends in the making but a slow process !

@kittykatsmile hows life on you little isle going? How's it living with mum? Is that still the case (or was it ever) I swear my mind just makes things up sometimes!

Mrbay · 01/07/2020 17:38

@Ginandtonic31 - you had such a neat bump! I do need to get the machine out but I keep forgetting to pick up grease proof paper to trace out my patterns. What's next on your list?

@welshpugmomma - I have a feeling yours will fly by!

KittyKatSmile · 01/07/2020 18:12

@Ginandtonic31 those shorts are amazing! Wow! My mum has just made this little romper for miss Nancy but I don't have the patience for sewing!!

@Welshpugmomma so exciting!! I bet your mum can't wait! Yes, I was living with my mum (or she was living with us actually) but we're about half and half now. I think it's been quite hard for her moving back to hers but it's actually quite nice to have this arrangement now.

@Mrbay the tww lasts at least 18 months I think? Got any good jigsaws?!

@Welshpugmomma - ref the puppy, she can do lot of gun training but is utter rubbish walking to heel on the lead! so ummm, its going well!

@KittyKatSmile - that is so cute!!

Haaaa!! its feeling that way! Trying to stay away from POAS!

Ginandtonic31 · 01/07/2020 19:31

@KittyKatSmile that's lovely! I've a romper pattern just like that with some fabric queued up! But with it being jersey I've not dared try it yet! So my next thing is a top out of the fabric I have left from the shorts. I bought the pattern and just read it and it looks too hard 😫 it has a collar. So it may be a disaster. Maybe I will try the romper instead 😂

@Mrbay it definitely didn't feel neat and just looks huge when I look back now 😂 I'm still 7lb up on my pre pregnancy weight.

I keep seeing talk of freezer paper for tracing as you can iron it on.

Mrbay · 01/07/2020 20:09

@Ginandtonic31 - you are better than me! I've just got old bed sheet so I can use them to practise before I use nice fabric.

I'm still nearly 2stone heavier than my pre IVF weight so you are doing loads better than me!!
