Is that your Boohoo dress @KittyKatSmile? Which is it on the website?

Welshpugmomma · 29/12/2019 19:01

@KittyKatSmile that does look like a lovely dress :)

I wore this out for DH birthday, had great difficulty going to the loo as it was a bit too tight to wear for an evening lol

@Ginandtonic31i i share your frustration but with trousers /anything on the bottom half I think I just need to bite the bullet and order some more stuff I just find all the jeans sooo long and it seems like a waste of money now for the last 2 months but realistically I do need to wear clothes and can't just sit around in my trackies and fat pants every day haha x

I actually love a high bump its where I always imagined a bump to be, plus I feel like the baby being low is always squishing on something making me feel so sicky or needing the toilet!

Anyone had the visual of a hand or foot clearly sticking out yet? Just the last few nights baba has done some serious moving - like a full on roly poly in there its felt so bizarre!

Ginandtonic31 · 29/12/2019 19:36

@Welshpugmomma I've just had the same discussion with my mum about buying stuff for work as I'm like I've 9 weeks left, £17 on trousers is a waste. She was like that's 45 days though. So I'm keeping the trousers 😂 all I've got that fits is leggings and a pair of jeans 😂 I actually needed long jeans though and found New Look do 34 length so for £16 they're great. I live in my blue pair at weekends now.

I've not seen feet or hands. I've seen her push out with something but it isn't obvious what.

KittyKatSmile · 29/12/2019 20:01

Yes that's the boohoo dress. I can't find the link to it on their website though I'm afraid, which is annoying. It's also available in black. I'll post it if I manage to find it. They've actually got some really good stuff on there, as well as some utter dross. I was trying everything on with my family and my niece (aged 7) said to me when I was struggling to pull one hooker dress down 'yes, I can see why you wouldn't feel very nice in that one'. Ha ha ha. She cracks me up. She also said over Christmas 'don't worry. I'm sure you'll look better once the baby is here'!!! I thought I was looking great and glowing... evidently not!!

Here we go then ladies...
here’s Pip!! This was three weeks ago so I’ll need to do an update. I’ve no bump pictures from the last couple of weeks.
You all look so well though, I have to say! Like majorly well and all very attractive ladies too with fabulous bumps.

Hey all!!

I feel I may join you with the belly photos, apart from mine is mostly mince pies!!

I'm on day 3 of injections, I nearly forgot to start as it's that weird time period between Xmas and new years when no one knows what day it is!!

We've decided not to tell anyone that we've started again, however, my mood swings will be a give away!

After my chemical, and actually really panicking that we were going to be parents, I feel really bad but at this moment in time, I'm not overly worried if we never get to pregnancy. IVF has really robbed me of the joy of pregnancy. The other half, is less relaxed, he's desperate to have a baby and so is the rest of the family - it appears that we may be the only ones who will have a child. If this works for us, I will offer our in laws to carry for them, as they would make epic parents.

@KittyKatSmile - Oh post your makes please!! I've decided to dust the sewing machine off and treat myself to some new fabric and patterns.

Zest11 · 01/01/2020 09:01

Happy New Year Everyone! Your bump photos are all so cute! Mine is below....much smaller than all of yours at 13+5. It's so helpful having many of you a bit ahead so I know what's to come.

I'm glad growth scans are going fine for you both @ginandtonic31 and @kittykatsmile. The extra reassurance must be good and nice to see baby's development.
@welshpugmomma I don't know much about how they do things over there but perhaps because it's private they're more thorough with all the tests and planned births?
@mrbay You definitely have the right attitude going in to your next round but I hope your husband is okay. I hope the buserelin isn't being too hard on you. Do you have a provisional ET date yet or would you rather not say? On our last round we didn't mention it to anyone and it really took the pressure off. So much so that a few times after setting off for work I had to come back as I'd forgotten to take the estrogen pills! I think that's so lovely you may offer to be a surrogate, truly selfless!

Well I took advice from your maternity discussion and ordered some clothes in the sales (I want my money's worth so will start wearing them early)! May I ask, how often do you all get bra fitted? Mine are shooting up in size...I'm sure my size will be different in two weeks time and then again two weeks after that! They also burn like mad too.

We also got our NIPT results back and all is great. We're having a little boy!

Cauliflower82 · 01/01/2020 09:29

@zest11 ooh a little boy too!! That’s fabulous news. And I’m so glad everything is well too. As for the bra sizing, oh my! I must have spent more on bras than actual clothes recently! They’ve shot up almost three sizes and I’m not a fan 😂.

Happy New Year to everyone! We all have a lot to look forward to. @Mrbay I’m hoping to include you in this too and I hope everything is going well.

Chest infection here but apart from that all is good. I just worry about coughing and lack of sleep on Pip.

Ginandtonic31 · 01/01/2020 11:53

Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2020 is the best year yet for all of us!!

@Zest11 another boy! Congratulations! We're boy heavy! We need a girl to balance out mine!!

I must admit I haven't been fitted for a bra yet. I'm still in my normal underwired bras! My boobs are so small though 😂 as for maternity clothes all I've bought is a pair of jeans, two tops, a coat and a dress for last night. I've tended to manage with jumpers etc. I've ordered maternity leggings, black jeans and a top now. I loved my dress last night but we were in such a rush we never got a photo 😞so now I won't have anything to remember nye with a bump by!

KittyKatSmile · 01/01/2020 15:51

@Zest11 another little boy! What a great start to the new year!

I bought bras from H&M at around your stage and they are more like slightly padded bra tops so they are still fitting me now and are very comfortable (and cheap!) They are also both maternity and nursing so should last for a while. And you don't really need to get fitted; they are just s-m-l etc

Zest11 · 02/01/2020 11:32

Thank you all, it's starting to feel a bit more real now :)

@Cauliflower82 I hope you're feeling a bit better and your chest is clearing up. From what I have read hardly anything actually affects the baby so don't worry and take it easy. Yes I've been told not to buy cheap bras - everything else can be scrimped on. I'm glad I'm not the only one displeased with the new Pamela Anderson look!

@Ginandtonic31 wow, I can't believe you can still get into your pre pregnancy bras...especially underwired. Mine went at about 6 weeks! I think we will have some more girls. I have a feeling @KittyKatSmile's is a girl! At least yours will have the pick of the boys when she's older though! Grin Regarding the dress you'll have to find an excuse to wear it again within the next couple of months :)

@KittyKatSmile thank you, I have just spotted those h and m ones and they look perfect with lots of room for growing. M and S do similar but a bit more expensive. I'll try both!

Mrbay · 02/01/2020 17:13

can I just start with I HATE BUSERELIN! The low mood and headaches are back - oh joy!!

Thanks @califlower82 - fingers crossed but if it doesn't work, I'll have 2 that I can kidnap for a bit!!

@Zest11 - i don't really know! it will be the end of this month and potentially OTD of valentines day - nothing says romance like shall I POAS for you DH?!
Its not so much the pressure, I am bored of people wanting to talk to me about my uterus and stuff - i was excited on the first two cycles, now I'd rather stick pins in my eyes!!
I just feel really bad for my in-laws and I really want to see them become parents - who knows, they may say no!

KittyKatSmile · 02/01/2020 18:33

@Mrbay oh yes, that shit sucks. Stick with it lady. And on the plus side, I wrote a valentine's poem last year for a positive test; I'm happy to let you have that when (positive mental attitude) you need it.

Cauliflower82 · 02/01/2020 22:37

@zest11 absolutely hating the Pamela A look 😂 hate it! I feel so self conscious - they’re ridiculously heavy too and uncomfortable. I’m not allowing myself to google things about pregnancy anymore so thank you for the reassurance that he’s not affected by my hideous coughing. I hope you’re doing well.

I have a feeling @KittyKatSmile‘a baby is a girl too, always kind of have had that feeling. I remember your embryologist saying you produced cute embryos 😂.

@Mrbay oh no buserelin - I remember naming it bitcherelin (used to make me laugh insanely giving all the drugs little personalities - I must have been slightly delirious). My least favourite was was the menopur - I always bled with that one. Keep those pins away from your eyes!

@Ginandtonic31 underwired bras - you are a warrior. I’m a saggy non wired bra person now 😂 I don’t even care now either. I remember buying the first non wired bra and feeling so self conscious, now I beg for any form of comfort for keeping these two melons intact.

mouse1234567 · 03/01/2020 09:27

Hi all,

Happy new year! All your bump pics look gorge. Glad all is going well with those who are pregnant. I have read what you guys said about bras -I’m now 16w5 and still in old bras as they were really old and stretchy but now I think I need new ones. Thinking about buying a bra that will double up as a nursing bra but don’t have a clue where to go really!

Who is the first due date? It can’t be long for some of you??

All is going fairly well with me. No more bleeding -touch wood for about 6-8 weeks so that’s great. Had a quick reassurance scan yesterday and that went well. Still getting quite anxious -20 week scan in four weeks and hope I calm after that. My Papp a score came back quite low which apparently could mean higher chance of low birth weight, pre eclampsia and pre term labour. Hearing that set me back a bit but the doctor was quite reassuring and I will be monitored with growth scans and we won’t know till much later if there is an issue anyway so I need to put to back of my mind. Was wondering if I felt first fluttery tickles of baby last night -but might be wishful thinking. When and what did they feel like for you guys? Bump is developing a bit -going to dress baggy for school -don’t want the kids guessing just yet!

Those of you still going through treatment -thinking of you and praying 2020 brings you what you want. You are doing amazingly.

Cauliflower82 · 03/01/2020 11:20

@mouse1234567 so good to hear an update from you and I’m so happy things are going so well. The kids at my school guessed I was pregnant way before I was ready to tell but most had the sensitivity to keep it to themselves. As for first baby movements, it took me AGES to recognise what they were. We went for our 20 week scan and the sonographer asked me if I’d had many and I’d said I’m not too sure tbh, but about a week or two afterwards I was more than confident that the flutters I were feeling were definitely baby. At about 25 weeks, it was full on kicking and now, at 29, I can see belly move and it’s all just awesome. Sometimes a little painful but awesome.

When are everyone’s due dates?

I should be the 19th March based on ivf dates, but they’ve dated me at 18th and now my consultant has mentioned inducing on the 11th because baby will be full grown then. Totally my decision she side though but think I’ll do it - quite anxious to get little Pip here.

KittyKatSmile · 03/01/2020 12:12

@mouse1234567 so good to hear from you lovely one!! That is almost exactly when I first felt movements. It feels like either butterflies or (less romantically) wind. I didn't like those internal ones but within 2 weeks I could see and feel them from outside as well. I think it depends a bit on how tiny you are to start with (smaller you are the earlier you'll feel them I believe)

On the bra front (ha) I've got maternity/nursing ones from H&M and I'm still in the same ones I first bought. They are around £18 for 3 I think and I really like them. Not sexy but who's looking?!

Are you finding out what you're having? (I ask only for my knitting list....!)

And my due date is 3/4 March. Let's say 4th because I can't really remember which is the official one. I think I'll come early but who knows. I certainly won't go later as I'm far too old...!

OP posts:
Ginandtonic31 · 03/01/2020 12:38

@mouse1234567 lovely to hear you are doing well. I first felt movements I was sure of at about 17 weeks. It was like a little tap. Could be confused with muscle spasms. Now at 30 weeks she kicks the iPad up on my belly and my arms off when I cross them.

My IVF due date is 13 March and my dating scan due date is 11 March. But I go by the 13th. I'm not consultant led so I don't think I will be talked into being induced and I don't want to be unless it's for a medical reason. My midwife said being induced too early isn't pleasant. I'm doing an online hypnobirthing course and in an ideal world I'll wait until she's ready. Unless she's very late of course! I'm also booked onto my NHS courses now over the next few months, one of which is hypnobirthing.

I'm only in the same underwired bras as my boobs haven't changed so they just feel the same. I do think I might need to invest in a maternity swimming costume though as last night there was a bit of side boob on show in my normal swimming costume. Not because of any boob growth, just belly pulling it forward!

Zest11 · 03/01/2020 18:09

@Mrbay I completely get that, the boredom of it. I hope the next few weeks go quickly for you. The buserelin really is tough as well, I won't forget the emotional outbursts.

@cauliflower82 yes, I get you! Mine feel so heavy and it feels like they weigh me down sometimes too! Apparently it gets worse after the birth when they're full of milk!! I have been offered induction at 40 weeks and like you I will probably take it if nothing's happened before then. It's interesting that we all seem to have been offered this because we are IVF.

@mouse1234567 yay, I am so happy to read your update, glad all is going well with you. You're right not to worry about the Papp score yet. I think the NHS does err on the side of caution with things and like you said, there is no way you can know until later on. I have also been told our baby could have low birth weight (apparently due to IVF) so we will have growth scans too and I can be induced at 40 weeks if I don't want to go overdue. I hope you're feeling okay about going back to work. Have you thought about when you want to go on maternity leave or have you not thought that far ahead? I guess you are due around mid June. On the bra front there are also some s,m and l ones from M and S in packs for 2 which are maternity/nursing. Super comfy (but very very plain) but more expensive than h and m at around £30! I bought these before the chief, @KittyKatSmile pointed out the more affordable ones!

@ginandtonic31 Hypnobirthing sound great, of my friends really rated it. Let us know how the NHS courses are. I haven't booked on to any of those yet but am also contemplating NCT purely so I can get to know other people near me with similar due dates!

Ginandtonic31 · 03/01/2020 18:36

@Zest11 I'm already loving the online course I'm doing! The science behind it completely makes sense! On the nhs I'm doing hypnobirthing, general birth workshop, life after baby and feeding. They're all in the evening so we will go together. I've decided not to bother with the NCT ones though.

It's funny but I'm not being treated any differently with it being IVF. But I wondered if that was because we had IVF for a genetic reason.

KittyKatSmile · 03/01/2020 20:02

@Ginandtonic31 @Zest11 I'm doing the online hypnobirthing course from the positive birth company. It makes sense but I do find she bangs on a bit (maybe I've bought the wrong one and it's actually hypnosis instead?!) I also have a sneaking suspicion that if someone tries to use a different word during labour to trick me that I may well punch them in the face GrinMy mother is warned about this though!

On with the knitting this evening. Oh. Have I told you that I've just developed carpal tunnel syndrome?! It's bloody uncomfortable. But I've renamed it carpool karaoke syndrome to make light of it and get through this.

You girls all make old Keith so happy.

Mrbay · 06/01/2020 13:06

only feels like yesterday that we were all getting ready for EC, cannot believe that was only 7-months ago!!

I spent this weekend feeling really sorry for myself and fat, very fat!! After having killed all my jeans last month, I am desperately trying to find some that will fit, this weekend was not the weekend to do that!!
I had a paddy in Sainsbury that even going up 2 sizes, I couldn't get jeans to fit!! I am at my very biggest and I know that I am not overly big, I still feel like a bloody elephant!
Trying to find something to wear to work this morning was a struggle, I wonder if anyone would notice if I changed the dress code policy to include PJs as acceptable office attire!

PS after all the injection practise Ive had, I've managed to make myself bruise 50% of the time!!

PPS still no period!!

KittyKatSmile · 06/01/2020 14:04

@Mrbay I am so with you on the dress code thing. I have worn a jumper that I believe is probably meant to be 'swingy' in style. I mean, basically a large marquee....

When is period due? I well remember that bloody agony. And I think 50% is a pretty good success rate!

OP posts:
Ginandtonic31 · 06/01/2020 14:52

I'm wearing a huge jumper today with leggings. It's so big it hangs off my arms. Then someone said she's growing well. Read as you're massive now!

KittyKatSmile · 06/01/2020 15:04

@Ginandtonic31 ha ha. It went the other way with me: people said 'oh. I can hardly see your bump'. I'm going to start researching pelvic bands now. Will circle back if anyone's interested.
