Hi ladies!

Well it's been a while -lots been happening as of course some of you know. Me, bump and Mr. Fuggers have arrived safely in Miami yesterday after 10 days travelling! Glad to be back with the DH but of course mixed feelings about leaving home especially at this time!

Also I'm a much wiser (wider) woman having turned 30 a couple weeks ago... ;)

So what's been happening with you all? Any news - who's got their next scan soon? I'm gonna have to wait till I'm about 22 weeks because of starting insurance etc need to start researching things out here!

Welshpugmomma · 07/10/2019 22:03

On our arrival into NYC :)

@Welshpugmomma oh my goodness! That is so exciting! Can't believe it took you so long to get there; was that because of quarantine or some such thing?? It must be so surreal to be back with hubby after so long apart. So happy for you.

I'm just trying to get things semi sorted for my move back to Guernsey. Doesn't feel real really. Will start to soon as I have just seen Tiny kicking me and you can see it on my tummy now. Never really thought I'd get here (and I'll stop because I don't want to trigger anyone).

Love you lots ladies x

Hello! Oh @Welshpugmomma you look amazing and I'm so jealous of your move to Miami!!!

@KittyKatSmile yes I'm home 😞 I hate coming home from holiday. Is it just me but I don't get these people who say 'I had a lovely time but I'm glad to be home'. What?! Never. I really did have a lovely time though. The relaxation was just what I needed and I wish I had a day of sun ahead of me today! It's also weird to think that's it now for a year holiday-wise and next time we won't be traveling so light!

My gender scan is Wednesday evening. I will keep you in the loop! How many weeks are you now @KittyKatSmile if you're feeling and seeing?!

mouse1234567 · 08/10/2019 06:56

@Welshpugmomma Miami sounds amazing! Is it?? I would love to go. Happy 30th!

@KittyKatSmile that sounds exciting re kicking! Are you moving back home?

@Ginandtonic31 good luck at your gender scan. Know what you mean re holidays -had an amazing one in Greece this summer and took me weeks to come down from it!

All ok with me -11dp5dt and I haven’t tested -feeling rather chuffed with myself as tested at 5dp5dt last time! Nothing good came of testing early last time so have managed to keep myself away. Basically I have none in the house which is the only way to stop me!
Slightly disappointed that I feel no symptoms and concerned it hasn’t worked. Testing on Thursday evening. Feel quite sick about it -think these last few days feel the worst. Work is a good distraction though. Not long now. Just feel like it hasn’t worked but also keep trying to convince myself that we can go again soon.

Hope everyone is well x

Ginandtonic31 · 08/10/2019 07:19

@mouse1234567 no symptoms isn't necessarily a bad thing. I felt nothing at all either! There's still a long while for symptoms. Another couple of weeks at least.

mouse1234567 · 08/10/2019 08:13

@Ginandtonic31 thank you -that’s reassuring. Time is going sooooo slow.

Ginandtonic31 · 08/10/2019 08:36

@mouse1234567 at 11 days you would be fine to test now! I tested at 8 and a blood test on day 9 x

KittyKatSmile · 08/10/2019 14:15

@mouse1234567 well done for staying so strong; it's not easy! Fingers and paws crossed for you (do mice have paws?? I hate them so I don't like to think about it too much!)

@Ginandtonic31 19 weeks tomorrow. I'm up in Leeds again today. Just told one of the people I worked with my news (by pointing at my stomach) and she asked if I'd lost weight! Ha ha ha. Boss mentioned yesterday that he wouldn't have noticed if he didn't know. Men! I look like a small whale :-)

Welcome back @Ginandtonic31 I always feel the same about holidays I wish they could last forever! Exciting about the gender test :)
@mouse1234567 good luck to you and everything crossed, well done on holding out when are you going to test 🤞🏼haven't seen too much of Miami yet the heat is hot but the rain is like being back home ! Can't bloody escape it ;)
@KittyKatSmile had to take the transatlantic cruise which took 8nights to get my doggy over... and then a long drive from NY to Miami ! Hubs back in work today so I'm just getting on top of washing and the like... I thought I felt something on the drive but now I'm not sure and haven't felt anything since so am doubting myself! I am massive there is no doubting it looks like a got a good ball going on up there haha...

Ginandtonic31 · 08/10/2019 16:37

@KittyKatSmile oh so you're only about a week ahead of me. I've felt nothing yet! But I am podgy!

@Welshpugmomma are you staying there forever now or is it just a fixed period? The rain at the moment over there is worrying me. We usually go May but with me being due March we are going to go October instead but based on the weather at the moment it's putting me off!

Cauliflower82 · 09/10/2019 05:47

Hi everyone

I woke up stupidly early and started thinking about you all. It’s nice to see some activity too as I wasn’t sure if there would be any chat.

@mouse1234567 I had no symptoms either until about six to seven weeks and from what I remember that sounds pretty normal.

@Welshpugmomma that is a gorgeous photo! You two look so happy. What a lovely time in your life right now, very exciting - enjoy it all.

@Ginandtonic31 I’m so glad to hear you had a lovely time on holiday - you sound so much more positive that earlier. I bet coming off the drugs has done you the absolute world of good. Sometimes I look back and I can’t believe I, like me, terrified of needles me, did it all and I’m so grateful I did.

@KittyKatSmile so far on now!! Our leader conquering the world. It’s so lovely to hear you’re doing well too and getting ready for your move. I’m eagerly awaiting the first kick.

I’m good, 17 weeks either today or tomorrow depending on scan dates and ivf dates. Ever since my 12 week scan, I’ve just felt my normal happy self again - I don’t know if it was all the anxiety and worry surrounding Pip but it’s subsided and I’ve started to really just relax and enjoy this. I have a noticeable bump and the children at my school noticed two weeks ago I was pregnant - I’m getting bigger every day, currently the biggest I’ve ever been and I’m just embracing it. I’m quite petite anyway so I knew a bump would be obvious fairly quickly so I’m just embracing it.

Sending you all lots of love and so happy to hear from you all 🤗

KittyKatSmile · 09/10/2019 07:49

@Cauliflower82 it's so good to hear from you and especially that you're doing so well and enjoying it now. I've been thinking about you and hoping that was the case. It's so much easier after 12 weeks (and I have to say even more so when you can feel it moving because you don't need to be anxiously awaiting the next scan at all times).

So cute that the children noticed (what age do you teach again?). Plenty of my colleagues still haven't really noticed which is hilarious given how noticeable I am.

Such a happy start to my day. Have a good one ladies x

@Ginandtonic31 ha ha don’t encourage me! I know I could test and get reliable result but set it as a mission to myself to wait till tomorrow -plus I think I need to deal with it as near to weekend as pos so not worrying about work. Also on three injections a day till Friday and would find them hard if neg. thanks re the symptoms comment -it seems a lot don’t have any yet so that’s reassuring. I just keep thinking my embryo wasn’t too quality-but I know I need that out my head and lots of people’s aren’t and go on to be a baby.

@KittyKatSmile ha I know what you mean about mice -I don’t like them either. I used to be very quiet -I don’t really think I am now! So my parents called me mouse!

@Welshpugmomma annoying re rain -hope it stops soon! I guess it’s tropical?!

@Cauliflower82 cute about your kids noticing! And good re not having symptoms hopefully not being an issue!

A day and half left! Busy one today so that will distract me.

Ginandtonic31 · 09/10/2019 22:03

Hi @Cauliflower82 so glad you're feeling better. I think I felt the same after 12 weeks too

Just bobbing on to day we are having a girl! Unless it's a boy with his willy tucked between his legs!

KittyKatSmile · 09/10/2019 22:20

@Ginandtonic31 yay! I'm grinning for you! Are you happy? Hurrah!

@KittyKatSmile I am I hope it's right though as she was awkward again and laying on her front! He flicked to 3D a few times and she was kicking away and pulling the cord.

I do feel a bit weird I know though now and like I've failed not waiting!

KittyKatSmile · 09/10/2019 22:45

@Ginandtonic31 I don't think you've failed; you'd have found out at some point anyway wouldn't you?! It's nice to be prepared I'd imagine. And now I know what to knit for you :-)

Would you like this one (either like this or in pink)?

Awww @KittyKatSmile that's so cute!! You might want that if you have a girl!! You're very talented. I've done no further cross stitch!!

I think I just feel everyone manages to wait until birth and I've failed but we did want to know. I'm paying deposit for nursery tomorrow for January 2021!!

KittyKatSmile · 09/10/2019 23:09

@Ginandtonic31 of course everyone doesn't wait until birth you cuckoo! Most people I tell are surprised I'm waiting so it's definitely not usual!

I've already given that lemon one away so I'll make another one and you can let me know :-)

Cauliflower82 · 10/10/2019 10:02

@Ginandtonic31 congratulations 🥳 this is excellent news! We’re finding out too but we’re not telling a soul, apart from you guys. It’s strictly going to be our little secret. Whenever anyone asks I tell them we don’t want to know but really, because they’ve known everything else, we just want a little something just for us two.

@KittyKatSmile I teach secondary and a level so they’re pretty wise when it comes to this stuff - the younger ones haven’t noticed but I’ve taught some of them now for four to five years and they clearly are not as oblivious as I give them credit for. They’ve been fabulous too, carting books and supplies for me, moving out the way in the corridor and it’s been nice just to have some light hearted chats with them about possible names, how my dog will feel not being the only child 😂 they’ve actually really made me happy as they’ve been so incredibly thoughtful.

mouse1234567 · 10/10/2019 18:40

@Ginandtonic31 that is lovely news about a girl. And don’t worry about waiting -you have already have to wait quite long enough with ivf!

I have some good news- I tested today at 13dp5dt and it came back pos. the lines are much darker than they ever got during my chemical in june- I also never got further than 1-2 weeks on a digital and thankfully today’s came back 2-3. Im being very cautious after last time but am grateful I have got this far. Only three weeks till viability!!

Wishing all those still trying on our thread all the best, it’s such a tough journey x

Ginandtonic31 · 10/10/2019 18:45

Oh yay @mouse1234567 I'm so pleased for you!! Was this your low grade one too? Amazing news!

@Cauliflower82 that's lovely keeping it to yourself. I've told too many people already! I'm keeping the name a secret though so there's at least something to tell people on the day!

mouse1234567 · 10/10/2019 19:07

@Ginandtonic31yes it was. Well i was probably exaggerating and worrying , it wasn’t low grade , more good ( you are a teacher aren’t you?! I think it was good rather than outstanding!!) it was BB.
