Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

@Marmite83 wow that's great. 🤞 for you x

doomkittycleo · 12/07/2019 18:48

@Jesskir89 congratulation hun, I’m very jealous, but happy for you as well.

@seven201, did your Dr give any advice about what to expect with the multiple follicles?

I’m assuming af won’t arrive until they release, but what if they don’t? They just seem to keep growing atm. I’m worried it could take ages to resolve.

Just want to have af now so we can try on our own again.

@doomkittycleo I've just come out of my appointment. He was running an hour behind schedule (fun Friday night for me and now a 40 min drive home)! He said I've got one on my right that looks like it's getting ready but lots of others that are growing so to leave it this month Sad. He said it looks like I'm having a long cycle. I don't understand it still. I'm seeing him in 1.5 weeks to get on the nhs list for a laparoscopy and ovarian drilling. If I wasn't already on the system he wouldn't have said go straight for ivf I think.

I asked about metaformin and he's given me a prescription for that (he wouldn't have if I hadn't asked). He also told me to buy inofolic.

impatientmammy · 12/07/2019 19:53

Hi all I posted on another thread but someone kindly informed me this was the place to come as I'm in need of a bit of support. I had 2 rounds of clomid at the start of the year but it caused blurred vision. other than that and a chemical pregnancy no symptoms of anything. Had a bit of a break and I'm now really struggling with letrozole. I'm on day 4 and I've had headaches, nausea, hot flushes, mood swings, alll the emotions, it's like being pregnant 😩you name it. Has anyone else had worse symptoms with letrozole than clomid? I was under the opinion the symptoms are meant to be much less. Sorry I will catch up a bit later x

doomkittycleo · 12/07/2019 19:53

@seven201 A long cycle is exactly what I’m worrying about.

I’m the same re ivf, I guess because I’ve already had an initial consultation it means that I can get started with it quicker when I’m ready.

I guess we need to find a distraction to get through this long cycle. The nurse at the clinic said have you got a holiday booked (we are planning on doing one at the start of September, but it’s not booked yet).

I guess that’s what I’ll be doing this weekend booking a holiday.

Jesskir89 · 12/07/2019 20:41

Thanks ladies and good luck @Marmite83 for next week. Welcome @impatientmammy I can't help though sorry I've only been on chlomid hun. @doomkittycleo I know that feeling fully but I can only be proof it WILL happen :) x

squirrelnutkins1 · 12/07/2019 21:02

Wowee congrats!! Third bfp for this thread!! @Jesskir89

@impatientmammy Ive only had one round of Letrazole but it made me SOOO tired and headachy. I took it days 2-6 and by about day 9 or 10 I was feeling better. Sorry about your chemical ☹️ I had a mc in April ☹️

@Dinosauraddict we've been trying the 'flood it' approach but we're both knackered and bored of dtd after 4 days on the trot 🙈 nothing sexy about it lol!

@doomkittycleo hope you're feeling a bit better x

@gwen7896 hope you've figured something out and OH isn't still making you feel bad x

@seven201 sorry you've got to leave it this month 💔 how will it be avoided in future months?

@lori2019 @Pinktruffle @Marmite83 @Kelly199 hope everyone's ok. Couldnt managed to catch up with everything since I was last on xx

Dinosauraddict · 12/07/2019 21:07

@squirrelnutkins1 I'm not sure anyone promised it was sexy, just hopefully effective Wink As awful as it sounds, I had a genuine conversation with my DH one day when he was moaning he was tired and I was responding 'I literally don't care, you have to fuck me tonight'...

seven201 · 12/07/2019 21:41

@squirrelnutkins1 I think it was because of the tamoxifen that I'll potentially release so many. So I can't take clomid or tamoxifen anymore. I'm trying metaformin now which works to regulate cycles, so works in a different way.

To whoever asked about letrazole side effects (sorry can't remember user name and I'm on the app)y tamoxifen (which I think is very similar to letrazole) was much worse tiredness wise than clomid. I was a very moody bitch for about 6 days too!

seven201 · 12/07/2019 21:42

@impatientmammy see below

Jesskir89 · 12/07/2019 22:23

@squirrelnutkins1 thanks love x

impatientmammy · 12/07/2019 22:37

Thank you so much ladies it's a comfort to hear I'm not going insane.
Also is the flood it method just bd as much as you can or is there more to it than that? X

gwen7896 · 12/07/2019 23:12

@squirrelnutkins1 I have, thank you! Also finally started my first round Clomid today :) Hope you’re ok x

squirrelnutkins1 · 12/07/2019 23:59

@Dinosauraddict 🙈

@seven201 here's hoping it works for you 💕

@impatientmammy yeah, as long as OH SA is good I think it was said x

@gwen7896 glad you've got started 😊 xx

AmyMaria2 · 13/07/2019 06:04

Congratulations @Jesskir89 soo happy for you!! I'm 4th month of clomid & ttc for 2 years this month so definitely given me hope!! Keep us updated, good luck!Xx

Jesskir89 · 13/07/2019 06:19

Thank you @AmyMaria2 I've got everything crossed for you all x

doomkittycleo · 13/07/2019 19:48

Opinions ladies, is this opk positive yet?

Not that it matters as we’ve been told not to BD due to multiple mature follicles, but I figure once I finally ovulate, I can at least count down to Af and get my ovaries back to a normal size.

I’ve had a sh!t day, arguing with DP really bad this morning, so really just need a hug. 😞

lori2019 · 13/07/2019 21:52

@doomkittycleo looks very close to it.

AmyMaria2 · 14/07/2019 00:12

@doomkittycleo looks pretty near to positive to me:) why have you been told not to bd due to multiple mature follicles? Isn't that a good thing? Sorry for the questions lol x

CoffeeTables · 14/07/2019 06:12

Hello :) Hoping to join in. I'm in the dreaded TWW after my first cycle of letrozole and shots.

I had my last 1500 shot 4 days ago and am 10dpo. I feel so crampy and like AF is going to appear any second!

So tempted to do a test but I think the pregnyl would just give me a positive. It's hard to think of anything else.

impatientmammy · 14/07/2019 06:41

@AmyMaria2 I think they'll be worried that a multiple pregnancy is high risk. Did they say how many folicals? X

Jemstar33 · 14/07/2019 07:12

@doomkittycleo that looks very near positive, I would take another today too. This is hopefully a good sign and you can then get back on track with your cycle.

Hey @CoffeeTables I’m in the TWW too, 12 DPO. First round of clomid. My boobs feel so sore and my nipples too but I’ve had this from day one of clomid. Apart from that I feel fine. I’m going to test on Thursday if AF hasn’t arrived. Good luck.

@impatientmammy welcome, sorry I can’t be of any help I’ve only been on clomid for one month.

@Jesskir89 @Dinosauraddict @Zara84 how are you all feeling? Did you notice anything in your TWW that I can look out for?

doomkittycleo · 14/07/2019 07:27

Thanks @impatientmammy @AmyMaria2 and @Jemstar33, I had over 5 mature follicles, so they said if we did BD we’d risk quintuplets.

It’s too risky, we already BD’d Thursday night, so just hoping it didn’t last this time.

Dinosauraddict · 14/07/2019 07:41

Congratulations @Jesskir89 I've just seen about your bfp! This board has had a good month!! Grin

@Jemstar33 I had quite a few symptoms from 10dpo and heavily suspected I was pregnant. Very sore boobs, nausea, felt dizzy, generally felt a bit rough like I had the flu or something, and could smell things I lot more strongly (coffee/smoke/fish). I tried to ignore them all and generally wasn't much of a symptom spotter when TTC, but that time I was fairly sure.
