Clomid Thread 2019 V2

Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

I agree, been a bit of a shit week for everyone this week! Sorry everyone's having a rough time.

My dh sat me down yesterday to say he was worried about me. I'm worried about me too! But in my mind the only fix is a baby. This is the month where I've been told to stop having sex at it looked like 6-10 eggs were possibly preparing and I'd be at risk of multiples. I've got some signs of ovulation today, but my tracking scan isn't until tomorrow evening. I will be so pissed off it tomorrow night, when my dh is out until sat eve, I'm told actually there's only one or two eggs and to have sex ASAP.

What's the worse that could happen? Octoplets? Lol not sure how you spell it though!

That's not what I need to hear @Jemstar33 as it's so tempting! My dh has just cancelled his night out in case he's needed! It also makes my life less stressful as I didn't really want to take my can't sit still 3 year old to watch me have an internal scan!

How’s everyone’s cervical mucus been during their TWW? Some days I feel like period is starting others I feel really dry. I’m not sure what’s going on down there.

I have to be honest @seven201, I would definitely be on it this month, multiple births would be better than none! You have a lot of self control

@doomkittycleo I had a similar situation with DH on my last period, I was pretty inconsolable and i dont think he knew what to do and anything he would have said would just have upset me further. They are damned if they do and damned if they dont. When I'm feeling rational, I do feel sorry for him. I k ow he feels helpless and I feel guilty because the problem is with me, if he had married someone else, he would be a dad by now.

I'm so nervous girls day 27 today and no af I know it's early but the last 3 month's I've had af by now x

And @Pinktruffle you can't blame yourself. I did for a while but mother nature is to blame and he loves you and wouldn't want to marry anyone else

Fingers crossed for you @Jesskir89, when are you going to test?

@seven201 looks like I’m in the same boat as you. Not had my LH surge so went back for another scan and she’s said I have 5 dominant follicles and to stop BDing for the rest of this cycle.

Clearly the clomid has worked too well, and that was month 5, so think we’re gonna stop it now.

My plan is now to take a couple of months off to see if we have any luck naturally and if no luck, will start ivf.

@Jesskir89 ooh exciting! Are you feeling any different? I’m on day 25 and feeling so moody. I’m so stressed with work too. Not good.

@doomkittycleo what do the dominant follicles mean? Sounds like a good plan 😀

@Jemstar33 it means that I’m at risk of releasing 5 eggs and conceiving quintuplets it we BD (which we did last night not knowing). I haven’t had a positive opk yet, so hopefully it’ll be ok, but it looks like I’m overstimulating. So glad I went for the private scans.

I’m quite upset about the whole thing tbh, but it’s out of my hands now. Just gotta wait for af, but no idea when that’s gonna be as I haven’t ovulated yet.

I’m worried about that too @doomkittycleo. I’ve never had ovulation pains so bad or had such a clear positive opk

Oh that's a pain @doomkittycleo although hopefully it means that if you do end up going for IVF you won't need to spend so much money on medication as you'll need a low dose of stims. It took me a couple of months to find the clinic I was happy with, go to the open evening and to figure out costs and go to the initial consultation so just bear that in mind if you're wanting to actually start IVF in a couple of months. Not trying to stress you out, just though it was worth mentioning. Hopefully some magic will happen for you before then anyway.

@doomkittycleo sorry to read you're in the same boat. It's so frustrating and just devastating really. I think I'm going to start looking into ivf clinics too.

@Marmite83 when do you start the ivf process? I think you said it would be soon.
