New March/April IVF thread.

I'm Alice, 34, TTC1 for 3 years 4 months. Currently 4 days into a short ivf protocol with max dose of stims as my AMH ran away last year. Its my only NHS funded cycle and my last chance to have a child that's genetically mine. /fingers crossed/

@AliceAbsolum I'm so sorry, this is a really shit time for you. As @Pleaseletitbeme says, I hope with time this leads to opening other doors, whether that be private cycles or otherwise. We're all thinking of you xx

Well, I may be fooling myself but I'm thinking my line is getting slightly darker?! Yesterday's FRER on the left, today's is on the right. It's pretty marginal though :-/ Can't wait for tomorrow's blood test result. Really hope it is rising!

My goodness, I don't know how you're all coping with the 2ww - I'm going crazy just waiting to hear from the embryologist if any of our embryos made it to blastocysts (12 eggs retrieved but only 8 mature and 6 fertilised).

Having severe cramps and bleeding. Game over for me.

@pleaseletitbeme oh my goodness I hope you are okay?! Have you rang your clinic if they have an emergency number? Bless you I really do feel for you. Sending you lots of love at this really stressful time x

@TwistofFate I would considering the 5 days wait after egg collection part of the two week wait really -completely understandable you are finding it hard -it’s very stressful waiting for updates! Good luck!

Haven’t t had much bleeding overnight.
There’s been a little dark blood this morning. Have very mild cramp.
Phoned the clinic and I’m waiting for a call back to see if I need a Bhcg blood.
Feel so sick with worry.

Have to go in for
1.) urine hcg
2.) beta blood
3.) starting on progesterone injections
4.) repeat hcg Monday

Pregnancy test still a strong positive.
Just have a small amount of discharge (brown).
Repeat bloods Monday. But won’t get results until the end of next week.
It’s so horrible this whole thing.

@pleaseletitbeme that’s a lovely strong positive. Hoping the bleeding is nothing more than bub getting extra snuggly! Have they given you any more meds to support? X

Hoping- been given Lubion

Hi everyone, I hope some of you remember me. I've taken a couple of weeks away whilst I enjoyed a holiday and some sun. I've tried to keep up. @AliceAbsolum I was sorry to read your news as I was so hopeful for you.

I start Buserelin on Tuesday for a transfer in June really. I'm feeling really bad though as I've taken no supplements whilst I've been away! Also, whilst preparing for a transfer can you still have a few drinks until transfer?

@ginandtonic31 hope you enjoyed your break! How did you get on with the PGS for your embryos? I’d say as you’re not technically trying to grow eggs etc some drinking would be fine! I’d defo start up to supplements again though re hopefully having a BPF in a few months!!!

@ginandtonic31 welcome back!! Hope you had a wonderful holiday, you deserved it! I’m sure a couple of drinks won’t hurt but maybe check with clinic just in case. I’m sure you’ll start your supplements up again they don’t take long to get in your system and I bet it’s been nice to take a break for a while x

@AnnaSteen I was having PGD. I got the results back in March time that we had 11 without the gene.

@Hopingforbabyd started up the supplements again today. I figure I've been getting the bit D anyway so it's just the follicles acid I'm lacking really and I suppose as I don't transfer for 6 weeks there's some time for it to kick in. I'm hoping to have a couple of gins on a Friday. Mainly so that nobody gets suspicious really. 6 weeks then another 13 weeks is a long time to hide no alcohol!!

@ginandtonic31 I wouldn’t see why you can’t but maybe just check drinking alongside your meds just incase. It is a long time isn’t it and people get so suspicious. If clinic says you can’t then your on “antibiotics” for a very long time haha 😄

@ginandtonic31 11 is a great number! That’s great news!!! Yeah I want to give up alcohol completely for the next few months before we potentially go again and it’s so difficult with everyone thinking you must be pregnant! I’ve actually told a lot of people at this stage so I don’t have to come up with excuses! I was finding it too stressful!

It's mainly my parents we drink with on a Friday who know what we are doing but I don't really want them to know we are preparing for a transfer! I think I will continue to have a few whilst just on the Buserelin maybe.

@Hopingforbabyd how are you holding out hun? When is your official test date?

@Pleaseletitbeme prayers are with you hun, many people experience some kind of bleeding- of course you're worried but hope for the best xx

I'm on day 13 of stings now and the want me to carry on over the weekend. I'm starting to feel awful now getting body aches, currently lying on the sofa- I haven't felt sorry for myself so far during ivf but I really feel messed up today

Also not great news, my low AMH has resulted in only one follicle growing correctly so our chances look slim. Hoping for a miracle now. Hoping we get a mature egg out of it.
