New March/April IVF thread.

I'm Alice, 34, TTC1 for 3 years 4 months. Currently 4 days into a short ivf protocol with max dose of stims as my AMH ran away last year. Its my only NHS funded cycle and my last chance to have a child that's genetically mine. /fingers crossed/

Well..... I couldn’t contain myself any longer so did a POAS 2 days before my official testing date.
At first there was just a big thick nevgative. But after about a minute I can see the faintest shadow of a positive. When I say faintest ive looked at it so long I’m boggle eyed. I can’t say for certain it is a positive but i’ll test again Friday.

Thank you @pleaseletitbeme I’m doing good. We have our review with the consultant early next month, and just trying to enjoy ourselves at the minute as a couple and making plans with family and friends. We are thinking of trying again but not till later on in the summer. Prob going to try some additional supplements that have been recommended.

@WhatWouldPennyDo I remember you form a while back, I hope this cycle goes better for you- they say the learn from the previous, and I guess its true because your body has never been through this before.

@hopingforbabyd Most people dont have anything to freeze....not that that helps the disappointment, BUT you should have a lovely 5 day Blast on board now, you're young, you've got a great chance.

@2019isouryear Sounds like a sensible plan. I reckon a couple of people in this thread will be in the summer ones. Look after yourself.

6 days til OTD...I'm struggling. Obsessively googling trigger shots, etc. It's not just pointless, its stressful. I will test on Tuesday, thats that. Not in my hands.

And just like that, we have our blast onboard 🥰 all went well, the only thing that I’m properly bummed about is that the embryologist thought she’d pressed the button to take a pic of our blastocyst but she didn’t. I feel terribly sad I always dreamt of popping the picture in a little frame. But never mind, all is good and that little blast was close to hatching and a good grade of 5cc - I’m just glad they’re back where they belong. Please stick! 🙏🏻💛 thank you for all your support ladies. Now the tww begins...

@hopingforbabyd brilliant news that it all went well- I'm going to say...don't think about it...but that the most useless advice ever LOL. Just take it easy and be kind to yourself :) dunno if you've seen The Case Against Adnan Syed its on Sky Atlantic. that's a great watch . Also, The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley is a really interesting too. Keep Occupied!
By the way, on Fyremadel do I plunge the whole lot in? As in is one syringe equal to one full dose?

@phreedam aw thank you! Haha don’t worry I told myself that advice too 😄 I’m so glad it’s all done. We’ve gone to a gorgeous fish and chip restaurant as we live by the seaside and I’ve heard about chips being good luck 😉 I’ll give those a watch thank you! The freymadel you just put all of it in, it goes in so fast I felt like the hulk after I done it like “boom! done!” 💪🏼

@mouse1234567 thank you! It’s crazy to think it’s all in and done now. It was very strange I thought we might get to see the blast go in but it’s okay I was imagining it instead 🥰 we did get to see them on the screen in my uterus though my bladder was so full she struggled but we saw the white little light. Fish and chips were fab x

Hi all-had drugs protocol appointment today and have just started norethisterone this evening and will be starting buserelin a week today-not looking forward to getting back on the injections but also keen to get started! Finally also got a date for my hysteroscopy today too which is scheduled for this Friday-very short notice but I’m excited it means my FET can get started on time. I really wondered if I was going to have to wait another month!

Hope everyone is getting on ok. I’m really trying to get myself back in a healthy mindset for the FET -so hard!

@mouse1234567 yay! I know it’s a bit bitter sweet but I’m so glad you’re starting again soon and so pleased you have your hysteroscopy appt through that is great!
Thank you, it’s a very weird feeling to know (for now...I won’t jinx myself) that all I can do now is just let nature take its course and hope for the best. Tbh I don’t quite know what to do with myself today so I’ve just taken a long nap with the big quilt on the sofa 😄 x

Yes! That is definitely a positive!!

FRER is a pink First response test. But imo you don't need it because THAT IS A POSITIVE

@mouse1234567 Must be hard starting over again. Very glad you don't have to delay it any longer though.

5 days to go.....Proper cramps this morning. Obviously assuming the worst :( I cant even POAS because I had such a high amount of HcG trigger 12 days ago. Fingers crossed, keep positive Alice, lots of people have cramps. Accept The Uncertainty.
