Hi ladies
I’m hoping to find a cycle buddy or anyone who has been through IVF before. We are due to have our appointment for our plan at the end of next week and I just wanted to hear any stories/advice anyone may have as my mind is very busy with questions.
A little background from me, I’m 28 and been trying to conceive for 3 years now. Last year I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis which sadly affected both of my tubes. I’ve had them removed in November and all endo has been removed. We have been told the chances of conception are against us due to the severity of my condition but I’m holding onto hope. Are there any ladies who have similar stories who can give me a little encouragement? I’m quite nervous to start IVF but excited at the idea this could be our chance!
Thanks 😊💛 xx

@Thund4rcat

Hello! Yes I think it’s either one or 2 they defrost at one time but I’ll know more after our appointment next week and let you know, we have been on the ivf train since sept 2017 so to finally have something happening is so exciting for us especially with the delay of ohss. How far are you in your cycle lovely? X

WorriedButterfly · 10/04/2019 17:17

Well done @DaisyMay25! That's a great number! Pleased for you x

Wesstywoo · 10/04/2019 17:29

@DaisyMay25 well done you! I had to have an IV after mine too, came over feeling all faint and queasy but that might be because I had 2 packs of the biscuits they offered me! 😂 fingers crossed for lots of embies for you, rest up tonight and let us know how you get on tomorrow xx

Hi @Nemo1189 I'm actually in the middle of my cycle at the moment, they had to give me extra meds because my lining was too thin but transfer is now next Thursday. Desperately hoping my frostie survives the thaw but I'm told the thaw rates are 95% so 🤞! I see your wife is also doing a medicated cycle too, I am pleased to say I haven't had any side effects from meds so far xx

Thund4rcat · 10/04/2019 19:28

@nemo1189 ah that makes sense. I am at the end of fresh cycle 2, my OTD is Friday!

Twiglet2353 · 10/04/2019 19:37

22 is a fantastic number @DaisyMay25. Hope you're recovery is okay.

I ended up having a scan this morning as had quite bad pain overnight. Confirmed intrauterine pregnancy and there was a gestational sac and the start of a yolk sac. My ovaries had a mixture of full and collapsed follicles with some free fluid in the abdomen which is what has caused the pain, but they're not worried and said it will all resolve itself 🤞

DaisyMay25 · 10/04/2019 19:43

Thanks @Twiglet2353 I'm feeling much better after a little nap (I say little but it was three hours haha)
I've got bingo at a cat cafe on Friday too so that'll help with recovery!!

Glad the scan went well!! When's your next one booked in for??

Hopingforbabyd · 10/04/2019 19:59

Welcome @Cauliflower82 how are you feeling? What protocol are you due to start in May? Bet you’re so excited now to be given a date, it’ll be here before you know it 😁 x

@Twiglet2353 Good to hear things are progressing. Look after yourself! Xx

Twiglet2353 · 10/04/2019 20:43

Thanks @AliceAbsolum @DaisyMay25. It's been a hectic week as DH has been in hospital after breaking his leg. Done lots of heavy lifting and over exertion really so I can't be surprised that I've felt a little uncomfortable.

Next scan is 29th x

Hopingforbabyd · 10/04/2019 20:47

Be careful with the heavy lifting @twiglet2353 and hoping hubby is okay. Are you back to work now? Take care of yourself Mrs 😘 x

Incoming TMI!
Did anyone else bleed after EC? I'm still bleeding and passed a clot (well actually I heard it fall into the toilet and it looked about the size of a 2p)

Hopingforbabyd · 10/04/2019 21:05

Oh crikey!! 😳 @daisymay25 maybe it’s from all the prodding and poking they’ve done round there? X

Chester6 · 10/04/2019 21:31

Hi @Daisymay25, don’t worry I had that too, although not quite as big. I think it can be quite normal. Well done for today, amazing result. :-)

DaisyMay25 · 10/04/2019 21:39

@Chester6 thank you, hopefully it stops soon, I'm at the clinic on Friday for a blood test (just when they thought they'd gotten rid of me!) if I'm still bleeding I'll mention it to them. How you getting on? Is test day Friday?

@Hopingforbabyd haha probably, I imagine there was plenty of prods and pokes, even though it seemed to me it only lasted five minutes! Good luck for tomorrow!

Chester6 · 10/04/2019 21:56

@Daisymay25 no worries. I was a bit freaked out by it too at the time but it soon settled down. Hopefully yours will too. I hope the blood test goes well! I am doing ok thanks. Yes blood test is Friday, eeek! Have felt much more positive and hopeful today. I’ve been allowing myself to imagine it has happened. I have definitely got symptoms but they really could just be the pessaries so I am just hoping it’s more than that. I think I just find it harder as iv never been pregnant to compare it to and have built up an insecurity in my head my body isn’t capable of getting pregnant. But hopefully it’s all going to change in 36 hours, eeek! 😊

@Pensivepolly2372 and @AnnaSteen thank you so much for your kind and positive words earlier. Hope you guys are also doing well x

Hopingforbabyd · 10/04/2019 22:03

@DaisyMay25 thank you lovely x Hoping the bleeding stops for you soon I imagine it must be quite scary. But it must be from all those lovely eggs they managed to get 😉 hope you’ve got your feet up and resting well xx

@Wesstywoo

I’m sure it will, I’ll have my fingers for your little frostie. Yes she is, she starts HRT next week for 8 weeks to thicken the womb lining, she has both PCOS and anovulation so she doesn’t ovulate normally so wouldn’t be able to do a cycle without being medicated so they have said. Glad to hear all is going well for you lovely xx

Brambles7 · 11/04/2019 09:03

@Twiglet2353 glad that you got some reassurance that all was well! Hope you can take it a bit easier & look after yourself and your little embryo.

@DaisyMay25 hope the bleeding stops for you soon & the blood test goes well tomorrow.

@Wesstywoo keeping everything crossed for your frostie thawing successfully!

@Chester6 how are you doing now test date is so close? I’m alternately not wanting to test and wanting to know now! I haven’t really any symptoms apart from sore boobs & peeing a bit more than usual (but then I’m drinking lots of water so who knows). I’ve had cramps on and off for a week now but all of this could be just the progesterone.

DaisyMay25 · 11/04/2019 09:33

Bleeding seems to have gone brown no so all seems fine and I feel much better today. Just feel like I have a full bladder and need a wee but no pain really.

Just got the call from clinic, they managed to injection 19 out of the 22 and 13 fertilised. I was hoping for 10 so I'm very happy!!
ET is Monday, I don't hear again from them until then, no daily updates which I don't mind they'll just call me Monday for an update before transfer

Chester6 · 11/04/2019 09:34

Hi @Brambles7, I’ve come on my period this morning just as I got to work. I’m really heartbroken and have emailed the clinic to let them know. Back to square 1 for me, but wishing you ladies so so much luck and sending positive vibes that it’s your time xx

DaisyMay25 · 11/04/2019 09:34

@Chester6 so sorry to hear that. Maybe you should try get out from work early?

Brambles7 · 11/04/2019 09:39

@Chester6 I’m so sorry! Just as you are at work too, doesn’t it always just have the worst timing. I know that nothing I can say will make it better, try to take care of yourself. Indulge in all those things you haven’t for a while. Hope you can maybe escape work a bit early today?

Thund4rcat · 11/04/2019 09:39

@chester6 so sorry to hear that.

LeanneMFord · 11/04/2019 10:40

Hi hope you don’t mind me joining. I’m half way through my 43 days of buserelin injections and today is my first day of Progynova on 2mg. I already have a little boy through ivf who is 4 in June. We had a failed fresh cycle over Christmas but have 6 frozen so we are doing a frozen cycle and putting 2 back in this time. Hope everyone is doing ok. X

Hopingforbabyd · 11/04/2019 11:30

@chester6 bless you darling, I’m so sorry to hear this. Can you get off from work early? Take care of yourself, we are still all here for you all the way x
