Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone wants to hold hands as we go through a cycle?

After a failed fresh cycle earlier this year, I’m starting my progynova today with a planned FET for May.

Would love some company x

@gizmoismymate it's lovely to find someone going to the same place.

Yes we've booked an Airbnb actually. It looks like a lovely bright apartment, more space than a hotel and about half the price.

I emailed the clinic in the end about the progesterone and they just told me they issued it on site. Good luck with starting your regime!

Si1ver · 27/04/2018 13:37

Oh also we went to Fertility2u for the meds. Brought the price down from £1.2k to £550. Worth asking for a quote there.

gizmoismymate · 27/04/2018 13:42

Excellent thank you - I think I've just seen you in the FF thread :-) so I wouldn't repeat on here..

Everything is crossed for you.

SouthernBella74 · 27/04/2018 17:50

@hoping2018, how are stims going this time around?

@happyhedgehog, how was your scan? Hopefully all looks well.

@Findingmyfeet12, 10 follicles! Wow! That's really good. Sending positive energy that they continue to grow.

@Si1ver, good luck for your first scan tomorrow!

@cobblestones and @gizmoismymate, Welcome! Smile

@Summerloving17, how are you getting on? Not much longer now! I can't believe it's all happening next week for us! Shock

AFM, apologies for being quiet. I've been really busy with work, which I hope continues in the next 2 weeks when I'll really need it! Grin

Doing okay so far with the progesterone...just a little dizzy in the morning and feel a bit more tired. But not sure that's all down to the meds! Smile

Busy weekend ahead and then it'll be Transfer day on Tuesday! Shock

Sending warm, positive wishes to you all. Star

Summerloving17 · 27/04/2018 18:31

Happy Friday ladies!! I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend! The weather is absolutely pants here which is a shame!

I have started my cyclogest today up the back passage instead this time and I highly recommend it vs vaginally. Far less mess and cramps! Been having nightmares that my FET is cancelled on the day so hoping it's not the case!!

@Southernbella how are the bum shots going? I've got my first progesterone shot this evening but thankfully in my tummy. Hope yours aren't too painful

@hoping2018, how are you feeling on the menopur? When is your next scan?

@happyhedgehog, how was your scan?

@Findingmyfeet12 Great news on the follies, hopefully you'll get a good fertilisation rate too

@Si1ver, good luck for your first scan tomorrow!

@cobblestones and @gizmoismymate, lovely to have you with us too

xx

@Summerloving17, I'm doing my best not to complain about this weather, but it hasn't been easy! Grin I'm thinking about getting my heavy winter coat out again! Shock

My first bum shot was yesterday morning and it wasn't too bad. I had to do it myself, as OH was out of town. But he'll be taking over from tomorrow. Wink Luckily, I only have to do them 3 times per week.

I'm not on cyclogest, so nothing going up the back passage until transfer day....

Good luck with your progesterone injection tonight!

HappyHedgehog247 · 27/04/2018 20:54

Hi everyone

Welcome @cobblestones and @gizmo

Glad you got a good outcome @findingmyfeet

I am booked for egg collection Monday morning - eeek! I think I will have 6 follicles in the right size range. One is 21mm already so guessing that will be too mature and some are too small.

Hope all the various jabs and pessaries going well! I'm having a glass of Sainsbury's alcohol free sparkly - happy weekend!

AniSL · 27/04/2018 20:55

Hi all

May I ask about injecting sites for gonal and Cetrotide? What are the best sites?

A

Si1ver · 27/04/2018 21:04

Stomach for Gonal F @AniSL

SouthernBella74 · 27/04/2018 22:19

I did the stomach for Cetrotide as well, @AniSL

Good luck with the EC on Monday @HappyHedgehog247. Fingers crossed for a good collection and fertilisation. Star

picklesandpetals · 27/04/2018 22:27

@AniSL hi, you are on same protocol as me, do you start tomorrow? Stomach for both injections, about 1-2 inches or so below button, alternating between left and right side areas. I watched some videos on YouTube. Good luck xx

picklesandpetals · 27/04/2018 22:29

@AniSL #below belly button that should have said! x

AniSL · 27/04/2018 23:41

Si1ver and SouthernBella thank you, helps to hear people's thoughts

Picklesandpetals thank you. I watched YouTube videos too. I am waiting for AF so I can have baseline scan and will then know will know my protocol properly. My TSH came back 1.3 so they said we can move with this cycle. R u cycling with a UK clinic or abroad

windy2909 · 28/04/2018 07:34

@si1ver - good luck for scan today!

Wow....two transfers and an egg collection coming soon! Glad things are going nicely for you ladies!

I am still waiting and going out of my mind with frustration. I do hope af comes soon. As soon as it does I can phone clinic and then they will arrange for me to have bloods to track my ovulation.

@AniSL - are you expecting af soon?

AniSL · 28/04/2018 08:01

Si1lver good luck today

Windy I am expecting AF on the 1st or 2nd. What about you? I'm waiting to I can book my scans then I will know when I need to book flights and hotels too. My clinic don't ask for blood tests when AF arrives, they rely on the scans. Luckily my local scan clinic is offering a discount on the scans and opens at 8am too

Si1ver · 28/04/2018 08:19

Great news on the TSH @AniSL.

windy2909 · 28/04/2018 08:30

AniSL - you’ll be glad when you get scanned then so that you can get everything organised for going over! Unfortunately I have no idea when af will come, as I was told it would be delayed due to previous down reg injection. I was told to expect it to take about 6 weeks and despite having af like cramps for the last fortnight it’s still a no show and that’s 6 weeks today. Tempted to phone my clinic on Monday, although I suspect they’ll tell me just to wait and when it comes get in touch x

AniSL · 28/04/2018 08:45

Thanks Si1lver, glad it wasn't as high as my first blood test, looks like the tea did the trick, let us know how you get on today

Windy that sucks. Give them a call and see what they say. I'm on a short protocol thankfully. I can't imagine what you are going through.

picklesandpetals · 28/04/2018 11:05

@AniSL hopefully you get AF soon then you can get booking. I'm having my treatment in the UK, short protocol xx

Si1ver · 28/04/2018 13:51

Scan's done, I have six follicles. Two on my right, four on my left. I've got an 8mm lining.

Clinic seems pleased and next scan is scheduled for Tuesday.

PonyPals · 28/04/2018 14:10

Hope you don't mind me joining. My AF began tonight so I will be starting injections 30 April I think.
Scary and exciting!

findingmyfeet12 · 28/04/2018 14:26

Well done Si1ver hope they continue to grow.

Welcome PonyPals good luck with your injections. Is this your first cycle of treatment?

PonyPals · 28/04/2018 15:10

@findingmyfeet12
This is my second ICSIcycle.
First ICSI was BFP
Then a FET which was negative

AniSL · 28/04/2018 16:10

Thanks pickles. Not looking forward to injecting at all. My job is to stop people injecting

Si1lver that's good news, roll on EC

Welcome Pony

Cobblestones · 28/04/2018 16:53

Wow so much happened within a day and a half! Lots of progress which is great to read.

Good luck for Monday! @happyhedgehog

@pony welcome. I think we’ll be in sync. Baseline scan on mon. Short protocol.
