Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone wants to hold hands as we go through a cycle?

After a failed fresh cycle earlier this year, I’m starting my progynova today with a planned FET for May.

Would love some company x

Oh no I am taking pregnacare 🤦‍♀️ They told me just to take folic acid as nothing else was proven! I asked about the baby aspirin too as wasn’t even offered Clexane and he said if I wanted to go for it but he didn’t think would make a difference. Can tell my clinic is NHS led!! I would have paid for every extra under the sun otherwise to get this to work!
I’ve decided to put two back now as well, if it’s twins then I think it’s meant to be and hopefully we will be in the 11/12 that don’t have issues. Just want to get that BFP that is a viable healthy baby!

I'm taking vitamin E and folic acid. After the transfer I'll start taking aspirin and other supplements which have only been prescribed because of my previous miscarriages.

DHEA is also another one - sorry forgot to add that. No multis or pregnacare or equivalent, my clinic was completely against.

My meds arrive next week ready for when my next cycle starts - tentatively 2nd May

I'm on seven seas trying to conceive supplement, DHEA, melatonin, co enzyme q-10, extra vitamin d and then my usual thyroid drugs and injections. I'm rattling for this cycle!

In preparation for my ICSI cycle, my FS told me not to stop taking co enzyme q-10 and just take DHEA. Now for the FET, other than the progynova & daily Clexane injection, I'm taking vitamin D + 5mg folic acid. I hope this all helps my embryo stick.

I hadn't heard that about multis. I'm taking DHEA, Uniquinol, Vit D, Folic acid, Pregnacare Max and then Magnesium for a separate health issue which I also take prescribed meds for. I will google multis and miscarriage.

@southernbella74 do you know why they said to stop Q10?

Report
hoping2018 · 20/04/2018 21:54

I think no one has any idea what they're talking about and it's all hocus pocus!!

@HappyHedgehog247, my FS said there was no evidence that it had any impact on the egg quality at all, so told me to stop. I'd read about it on a fertility forum, which is why I started! Hmm But he said there was evidence to support taking DHEA, so he prescribed it to me. Luckily, I didn't have any bad side effects to DHEA.

Ha, ha. @hoping2018, you may be right! But let's hope this magic does its trick for us! Grin

@southernbella thank you! No evidence is ok, was worried there was data it is harmful

Another injection down, I am getting nervous but also a bit impatient for first scan since starting stims which is on Monday.

Will you all be having general anaesthetic for your egg collections?

Report
HappyHedgehog247 · 21/04/2018 10:45

@findingmyfeet I am just sedation not GA

Report
hoping2018 · 21/04/2018 11:16

Sedation - I didn't remember anything from it last time anyway so can't see the benefits of a GA and that was with them going into 32 follicles!

Report
findingmyfeet12 · 21/04/2018 11:18

I'm having GA. the only other option they have here is LA which they tried to administer the first time but I was so tense they couldn't even get the speculum in Blush.

hoping wow 32 follicles!

Report
AniSL · 21/04/2018 12:35

I have opted for sedation rather the a GA, I am too concerned about the side effects of the GA to agree to it

hoping2018 · 21/04/2018 13:37

@findingmyfeet12 yeah 32 follicles, 20 eggs, 14 fertilised embryos and still no good quality blasts in day 5. (And that was win a low AMH?!?)

It really is quality over quantity!

Report
findingmyfeet12 · 21/04/2018 13:40

hoping my sister has the same issue.

Its infuriating because her clinic won't let her put more than one back even though the rest never make it to day 5.

Had an amazing fertility massage to cleanse my colon and intensive and destress my uterus, absolutely amazing and well worth it

Report
Kjackson02 · 21/04/2018 20:02

@AniSL is it just a one off massage or is it a course?

Report
AniSL · 21/04/2018 20:24

As I am now on my a week away from the beginning of my cycle, I could only fit this one in. Thankfully all was well and my uterus is apparently well relaxed and this is optimum for IVF.

Sorry my English is not really this bad. Autocorrect changes what it feels like when it feels like. Hope you all knew what I meant.
It is worth it and I do recommend it, especially for anyone who has issues with spotting and clotting.

@findingmyfeet12 we were offered 2 last time but only because they were poor quality. Though interestingly I looked at the NICE guidelines yesterday and aged

Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing well? The sun has disappeared where I am, replaced with rain 🙁. Happy hedgehog, I see you have a scan tomorrow. Hope it goes well and you get positive news. Believe scan dates are getting close for another couple of you ladies. Sending you best wishes and keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 x

Thanks so much @Windy. Bit nervous about whether any eggs will be growing but I guess they can always up the stims! @Aansil that massage sounds amazing!!! Have emailed a person near me that does it to see if I can still get one or too close to egg collection now. Hope everyone is doing well? Xx
