Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone wants to hold hands as we go through a cycle?

After a failed fresh cycle earlier this year, I’m starting my progynova today with a planned FET for May.

Would love some company x

hoping2018 · 17/05/2018 12:10

My test days is 27th so will be an eventful few days on here!

@picklesandpetals I don't know for sur won the cycle but based on my last one I'd say add whatever is your normal luteal phase on from egg collection x

Si1ver · 17/05/2018 12:15

@picklesandpetals my official test date is 27th so the day before you. I'm thinking I'll maybe test on 21st which will have me at 9dp5dt.

AniSL · 17/05/2018 12:36

Feeling fine, at the mo have no cramping or bloating, just a little bit of discomfort.

Hubby is on a 3 day injecting antibiotics and the needle is massive. Way bigger than the ones I used.

My clinic said expect my period 14 days from now

PonyPals · 17/05/2018 12:54

My test day is 29th... but my transfer is not until this Saturday. Only 10 days past a 5 day transfer.
It seems every clinic is so different!

picklesandpetals · 17/05/2018 13:24

@Si1ver and @hoping2018 . OMG all three of us have our official test date on 27th!!!! I'm going to try and hold out but in reality in the back of my mind I know that will be nigh on impossible.

@AniSL awww bless him. How's he coping? You doing the injections? Mentioned to my OH about abroad for treatment if this doesn't work and he seems interested, when we can afford it..how many days is your cycle? I wonder if everyone is 14 days from EC for period due

Clinic rang. The two embryos I had left didn't come to anything so they will be clinically destroyed today 😏

@Si1ver I am only comfortable in a padded bra atm. Perhaps that's what you need if you aren't already!

picklesandpetals · 17/05/2018 13:25

@rainylake you have less time waiting! Any symptoms yet? How many dpt are you now? x

hoping2018 · 17/05/2018 14:35

@picklesandpetals sorry to hear that. It's so disappointing

Si1ver · 17/05/2018 15:47

@picklesandpetals I'm a 34 GG, padded bras are ridiculous on me Grin

Sorry to hear about your embryos.

picklesandpetals · 17/05/2018 15:55

@Si1ver 😳🙈😱 bloody hell!! Just think...they might get bigger yet!! No wonder them lads don't know where to look at work 🤣

@hoping2018 thanks ladies. I'd pretty much expected that today tbh xx

hoping2018 · 17/05/2018 16:00

@Si1ver ! Wowee - poor boys at work this week!! I can't wear anything but a padded bra for my little fried eggs! (🍳) (🍳)

rainylake · 17/05/2018 17:57

@picklesandpetals sorry nothing came of your embryos, but fingers crossed for the ones aboard now.

I'm now 4 days past transfer. No symptoms other than slightly sore boobs (but I always get that in the run up to a period so that will just be a side effect of the progesterone). But if the embryo is implanting, it will only just be finishing that process now, so it would be too early for symptoms really. Anyway when I did get pregnant I didn't have any symptoms before my missed period, so not too worried about that.

picklesandpetals · 17/05/2018 21:50

@rainylake thanks, tbh I had expected that to be the case. Just have to hope the ones already on board work. Reassuring re the lack of symptoms. I'm thinking maybe I would notice something from Saturday onwards if I am.

Had a lovely evening out, felt good to get dressed up. Doubt no one else in the restaurant had to pay a visit to the bathroom to do a poop shoot pessary 🤣 had to be done though

Cobblestones · 18/05/2018 02:10

Just catching up on everyone’s news. Cracking up on the grope show comment 😂

@hoping the clinic said I could start as soon as I get my next period ie next week if I wanted but they recommend waiting a month to allow my hyperstimulated ovaries to calm down. I’ll be having a medicated cycle as I have pcos and don’t ovulate naturally but if one did one could have a natural cycle. I imagine they would just need better monitoring.

@AniSL glad you’re done with EC and that it went well. Do keep having loads of fluids. My hyperstimulation started around day 3 post EC hope that doesn’t happen to you it feels awful. Only today has my abdomen started to a feel a bit lighter.

At my end - Out of the other four embryos that were in the running on day 6 only 1 other made it and that too they said it was average quality. So I’ve got two good ones and 1 average in the freezer.

@southernbella fantastic news! The level of detail regarding your blood tests is helpful knowledge for when (fingers crossed) the rest of us get there.. keep it coming!

AniSL · 18/05/2018 06:38

@picklesandpetals yes it coping. The needle is almost the length of my pinky finger. Feel sorry for him but it's only 3, 1 down 2 do go. The good thing is that they said that they found quite a mess left behind from his previous ICSI (private London clinic) and managed to clean it all up. He said he finds it easier to pee too now

@cobblestones thanks hun. I have no cramping and bloat is minimal. Luckily I was a good candidate for a folly wash which has really helped I think. My ovaries were large but the wash brings them to normal size quicker. My main problem was that the lining had started deteriorating and though still 9.5mm, they didn't want to implant.

Waiting to hear from clinic the quality of eggs and if they are being fertilised

I find it amazing that when DH had his SA, 3 OF them, he went with their recommendations of stop drinking and stop smoking and went on a detox green diet, Fertilaid, motility boost blah blah blah. It didn't improve anything, he remained azoospermic. The scans showed no blockages and they just said he just needed to keep up the new healthy lifestyle. He gave up. The TESE found good sperm with good morphology and motility. Reaffirms my point that these experts don't know shit but clutch at straws as to why shit isn't going right.

AniSL · 18/05/2018 07:43

6 retrieved, 4 mature and 2 fertilised well - day 1 report

picklesandpetals · 18/05/2018 08:53

@AniSL excellent news on the eggs 🙌 . Three injections isn't too many, not like us on two a day. Really makes you wonder about some of these consultants. You're right, think a lot of them don't really know exactly what's what. And we all seem to get different information

@Cobblestones pleased to hear you have some good quality frozen ones for next cycle

xx

AniSL · 18/05/2018 14:17

@picklesandpetals hopefully you won't need any further treatment but I would certainly recommend treatment overseas. I have a lovely 2 week break in the sun (apparently getting two hours of sun a day increases success rates too) the clinic has been amazing and success rates for my age category are better than CRGH. Plus they are cheaper and frankly nicer too

picklesandpetals · 18/05/2018 19:12

@AniSL I really hope so too, would be absolutely brilliant if this has worked. Sounds like you really made the right choice. I could definitely do with two weeks in the sun right now. I will definitely look into your clinic if I need to given you have been happy with them xx

Si1ver · 19/05/2018 06:40

I cracked and tested, 7dp5dt and bfp. As my husband keeps reminding me, it doesn't count until next Saturday, but cautious and tentative yay.

AniSL · 19/05/2018 07:02

@si1lver that's fab news, keeping fingers crossed for you for the test date.

@picklesandpetals I do hope you get similar news.

And for all the other ladies in the PUPO club too.

I'm doing well, this is day 3 after EC and bloating all gone, no cramping whatsoever and no pain, no constipation or diahorrea. Boobs are a little tender but it's nothing more than I expect in the run up to AF. I think I am fortunate on this front.

Day 2 report has come in and both embies have been graded as A. Keeping fingers crossed they remain that way until they are frozen.

SouthernBella74 · 19/05/2018 07:39

@Si1ver, congratulations on your BFP! 🎉 All the best for the same result on your OTD.

Good luck to all the ladies in the 2WW and to those who will be entering it soon. 🍀 Try to keep busy, as much as possible, and stay away from google! 😂

AFM, I’m just taking it easy. No googling or researching. Just waiting until my 1st scan to see if the placement is okay. I feel like there’s going to be a lot of waiting in store, so trying not to get too worked up about it. 😬

Have a happy Sunday, ladies! 🌟

picklesandpetals · 19/05/2018 08:08

@Si1ver yaaaaaay!!! Brilliant! 🎉 So pleased for you! What symptoms did you have? And looking back do you think you felt any cramps or anything relaxing to implantation? I'm going crazy here with no symptoms!

@AniSL thanks, really hope so too! Great news on your embies, don't think you could get better than that. And bloating gone too, you must be pleased

@SouthernBella74 the 2ww is long! Staying away from google is impossible but am trying to limit it

HappyHedgehog247 · 19/05/2018 08:28

Massive congrats @Si1ver so lovely to see some bfps!!!! Fingers crossed for you that all goes well.

@AniSL good news too! Would love to know which clinic you're at if you're up for sharing (sorry if ive missed it). I'm just deciding where to go, have booked appt at CRGH as they seemed best results in UK for 38+ so v interested in anywhere even better!

picklesandpetals · 19/05/2018 08:39

@HappyHedgehog247 is there a one stop ahop for results so you can compare them all in one place? Would be very interested to know. I'm in the 38 + category too x

HappyHedgehog247 · 19/05/2018 08:46

@picklesandpetals I have not found one and would love it if there was. I used a very long train journey to start to go through every london clinic one by one on HFEA website. CRGH stood out so then I went to their website and it said best in UK. But I'm all ears if you hear of anything better!
